This fic wrecked me in the best way. Freaking perfect. I have no words. It was immaculate. No smut but that made the emotions felt when better. The healing, God the healing, I'm crying. Draco and Hermione are forever no matter how long it takes. I liked the friendship between Draco and Harry. The trials were heartbreaking. Draco considering Hermione home was something I didn't know I needed. The slow, gradual development was torturously satisfying. The writing in this fic is beautiful.
After listening to many reviews on TikTok to read DOT, I was weary of more recommendations. Wanders did not disappoint! Listen to the tags “this is a healing fic”. It came with angst and a slow burn, but the payoffs throughout the story were worth it. I did tear up at many points, one being Harry’s testimony for Draco. I definitely agree that this is a top tier Dramione fic.
”It would be an honour Granger.” "I do have a name you know.” "You'll always be Granger to me." And he kissed her again. She tasted of jasmine.
Post war Dramione with friendly golden trio including Ronald. Draco and Hermione are both traumatized from war. And one night at hogwarts, they cross path. That night, they shared that space, their pain, and their trouble of sleeping, which draco suggested Hermione to drink jasmine. And so begins their trauma bond.
This story is beautifully written. The understanding and compassion Hermione has draco is well written. Their slow burn was a killer. Especially when it was floating around the edge and both of them didn’t do anything. Until, she made the first move. And their banter and bickering is everything: they stared at one another before she huffed and rolled her eyes. "You are difficult." Draco forgot everything else, spluttering indignantly. "Excuse you." - When Draco was able to go to hogmede for three hours: “How does freedom taste?” “Like warm milk with an expiry date of three hours.” "What an apt analogy," she said dryly. Definitely a memorable Dramione ff.
Honestly, there was so many metaphors that made the book even better than it already was!
This book was DEFINITELY SLOW BURN! But even though we didn't get smut and the love confession only came in the last chapter, the fluff and cute moments made it more than okay.
Draco and Hermione were both very broken in the beginning and I loved to see how they slowly healed each other.
I cried so many times, I can't even count. My favorite moments were when Draco confessed that he needed Hermione and when Narcissa and Andromeda met after so many years<3 Of course, I loved all the adorable scenes, but there were simply too many to list all of them!
If I could think of one bad thing, It would be how many times some sentences were repeated. For example, Draco mentioned how he had to cover his bruise from Hermione's punch, like three times. Also, every kiss was described in the same manner.
But overall, I really loved this fic! It's definitely new addition to my God tier dramione list<3
