When I read the first book, a novelette, I really wasn't sure what I was getting into. By the time I was into the second book of the trilogy I was hooked. This really is a different kind of vampire story. The plot is well defined and easy to immerse yourself into it's depths. The author is knowledgeable and adept at character development. There's lots of romance but no graphic sex, which is appreciated. I found myself reading while I cooked, when everyone else was watching TV, and instead of doing my housework. And long into the night. I definitely can recommend this one.
This is the best Vampire lore I've read since Anne Rice's Vampire Chronicles. Wood builds the world and characters intricately. Protagonists and Antagonists switch places often with the twisty storyline. It's a long road but I enjoyed every step all the way through the Epilogue. Bonus; there is room for another story!! Highly Recommended.
This was a really good story and I enjoyed reading it! The characters are well developed (my pet peeve!) and interesting. The story world was interesting and believable. The writing flowed smoothly along and kept me engrossed in the story. I definitely recommend it!
I received a free copy of this book via StoryOrigin and am voluntarily leaving a review.
Quite the trilogy The Author coalesced fragments of non-religious and religious documents to explain the battle of how the first vampire came to existence. Good story, lots of action and solid plot.
I really enjoyed it. I recommended it to several people. Is an awesome vampire novel and in this one it explains the history of vampires and how they came to be. There's romance but no explicit sex. A really good trilogy.
I absolutely loved these stories! It has been a long time since I have found a trilogy that I never got bored with before completing. So well written and continued to surprise me! I cannot to see what is next.
This story is well written. Emma and Michael have this link and he just wants to help her. There are lots of characters and each add their part to this story.
Loved the way the characters come to life . They seem to grow with each chapter. Even in dark times, redemption is near. It is simply life. One we all experience.
