Siddhi should only be used when it can be contained & never to satisfy one's ego.

The novel commences with the importance of 'Siddhi' by achieving a 'Vital Knowledge' presented by Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva, who dwelled on Earth, was deemed to be the place to hold the Vital Knowledge, which led to the Asuras moving to Earth. A cosmic war, termed as the Great War, was encountered between Devas & Asuras to possess the most powerful thing to achieve eternity.

Dwandv comes under the mythological fiction genre & is one of my preferred styles; the cherry on the cake is that the plot has a female lead. Oh & the book cover, so stunningly elegant! The author's creativity level in the book is unquestionably at its peak.

The writer has performed a thorough investigation on Yoga, Vipassana, Kalaripayattu, Tantric Yoga & Ancient History, which can be clearly seen during the narrative. Also, details on the Himalayas are described so carefully that I perceived it as a picture in motion. All throughout reading the book, I hoped it becomes converted into a film.

Anyone who selects this book, please give quality time in reading & understanding the Prologue, as that's where the crux of the tale ahead lies. I loved the vocabulary language & certainly got to acquire astonishing new information as well in the process. This work has assuredly encouraged me to practice Yoga further sincerely & more so to begin working on my meditation.

Dwandv: The Battle for the Gate by Dinkar Goswami is a mythological fiction set in the backdrop of the Himalayas. Mastery of ancient vital knowledge will grant immortality and cosmic power called siddhi. Bubba a master tantric has accessed this knowledge partially through treachery. Now the asuras are on the quest for this power. They made a pact with Bubba to help them in this quest. Meanwhile, Gerua an American women along with her son Danta was chosen to receive this knowledge and fulfil an ancient prophecy. But to achieve Siddhi they must find a cosmic shape-shifting gate that traverses space and time. Bubba unleashed his army to spoil their efforts. They are now on the run to find the gate before asuras and Bubba to fulfil their destiny.

Indian mythological fictions usually follow the same pattern and style. Their origin and core content are always the same. The stories are driven by reimagined mythological characters. This one also follows the same line. But the freshness of this story lies in the thriller element. The chase and clashes are the main content of the story. The author used his storytelling skills to create a new world with mythological characters and a viable thrilling story of quest within it.

The characters are well developed. The emotional connection between Gerua and Danta and their friends were portrayed very nicely. Gerua's character undergoes a transformation to a certain extent in the story. The more and more she learns, the more and more she was able to stand her own and find the way. Although these main characters are not independent. They are aided and guarded by many ancient warriors and masters.

The first book in a series will always reflect the world in which the story occurs and the main characters. The author has successfully established these two main objectives in this one. It also ended in suspense which hints at an exciting sequel. I was pretty satisfied with the end because it gives closure but opens a new spectrum of adventures at the same time.

"Whether a man is a legend or not is decided by history, not fortune tellers"

Amish Tripathi, The Immortals of Meluha

Book:- Dwandv: The Battle for the Gate
Author:- Dinkar Goswami

Book Description:- Shrouded in secrecy on the peak of Mount K2, commonly known as the Savage Mountain, there is a concealed ashram where the custodians of a rare Vital Knowledge dwell.

The mastery of this Vital Knowledge bestows immortality and unparalleled cosmic power called siddhi. Bubba, a sinister master tantric, has partly accessed this Vital Knowledge using treachery and attained certain siddhi.

Asura, cosmic conquerors, who have been searching for the Vital Knowledge have detected Bubba’s brazen use of siddhi. Eons ago, Asura had decimated Earth believing Earth to be the cradle of Vital Knowledge.

Suspecting that Vital Knowledge could still be on Earth, Asura want to know how Bubba, an earthly being, attained siddhi and became a siddha. A pact is made between Bubba and Asura to hunt for the complete Vital Knowledge on Earth once again. Earth is in abysmal danger.

To avert the looming disaster, a young American woman Gerua is chosen by the custodians to receive Vital Knowledge and partake in an ancient prophecy. Gerua, along with her five-year-old son Danta, must find a cosmic shape-shifting gate that traverses space and time. If they are successful in finding the gate, Danta may become a super siddha and be able to protect Earth as well as the Vital Knowledge. Gerua does not know what this gate looks like or where it is going to be.

Meanwhile Bubba, who suspects Gerua knows the hiding place of the Vital Knowledge, has unleashed his uncanny army upon Gerua and Danta in a ploy to procure the complete Vital Knowledge. Bubba’s army, unlike any other to have walked Earth before, threatens to frustrate any attempts to find the gate and capture Gerua and Danta. Beguiling creatures, ascetic warriors, and immortals join Gerua and Danta on their perilous quest. Together they must tackle Bubba’s demonic ire, confront his army, and find the gate.

My POV:- It's fun reading mythological books with such rich style of writing. The author was quote poetic with the words and I'd recommend this to people who liked the books liked Mohini. The cover, the content, the blurb everything was nice.

Who do you think will get the Vital knowledge? Where is the vital knowledge? Is it still on earth or not? Will they find the gate or not?

To find the answers to all these questions, you should read the book.

People say that ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’. But to be true covers and titles of the book also communicate with the prospective reader. It was the beautiful cover of the book that compelled me to lay my hands on this book. Then, I read the title which captivated me even more. Special appreciation for the cover page and title.
The quality of the paperback is really good. The font size, style and spacing make the book an easy read. The light drawings of mountains in the background make the book even more enticing. Designing of the whole book is really alluring.
The language is easy. Writing style is impressive and captivating. The narrations are vivid. Special appreciation for action scenes which are really so well narrated that I could see everything happening right in front of my eyes. Characters are well sketched out. Dialogues are well framed. The relation between mother and son is beautifully narrated inter alia other narrations. Also, Special appreciation for the enticing names given to chapters. I felt at places spiritual secrets were very cleverly and subtlety narrated like the third eye and the Gate.
While reading the book, I don’t know why but once or twice I was reminded about famous book ‘The Alchemist’ by Paulo Coelho. The only thing that I felt was missing in the book were words of wisdom , where the author could have beautifully blended self help talks with fiction. This is just my way of looking at things. Different readers may have different point of view.
The way prologue and first chapter is written is so captivating that I decided at that very point to read the book cover to cover.
If you like to read mystery with zing of mythology , you would love this book. I look forward to read more from the author.

Thrilling plot and detailed research on spiritualism

After reading a few pages of it, I was glad I have chosen the promising book to read. Or should I say the book has chosen me?
The theme of the plot is thrilling, unveiling evil around us, humanity depletion and spiritualism.

The plot is fascinating with twists and transition between past and present. The story is about a mother and son who were in a quest to find solutions to restore humanity and purge evil. Characters are developed well. The author has emphasis on power of spiritual adventure with good intent. And how mysterious it can help humankind.

Author has penned it down in a descriptive way that has helped me to visualise how they have been through it. It is around 200 pages in which the first section in fast, the midsection is a little bit dragged and the climax thrillingly and excitingly. While reading it, I thought it needs a second part too because of a few unanswered questions.

Altogether, well researched and thrilling plot. Must read if you want to explore spiritualism.

Now as the Title suggests this book is a quest of our main female protagonist Gerua who when insisted by her friend Kally comes to India to learn about Yoga. The story goes back to Thirteen thousand years ago when the Devas and Asuras were fighting for Sidhi- The Vital Knowledge there had been a Great War after which Shiv left the Earth, leaving few selected Devas to protect the Earth and the Vital Knowledge to pass it to selected beings.

Now in Present day, the two Asuras, Rahu and Ketu suspect of Shiv being present on earth. So their search for Siddhi restarts. The Asuras along with Bubba, a sinister master tantric has partly accessed a part of this Vital Knowledge make a pact to hunt the Complete Vital Knowledge on Earth.

As per ancients revelations, Gerua who comes to India to learn Yoga is chosen to receive the Vital Knowledge along with her five year old son Danta. Now for that to attain they are in need of Cosmic shape shifting gate that traverses space and time. After finding this gate Danta would attain complete Siddhi and be able to protect Earth.

This book is about the Quest of Gerua and Danta against the Bubba's army. It's thrilling, intriguing and full of twists and turns.

Overall the whole narration was captivating, engaging and I could imagine the events very well. Personally mythology is one of my most favourites Genre and this book is a treat to all mythology lovers. I don't remember when was last time I read such interesting plot with past and present day events.

What I liked-
~ The bold and artistic cover along with title had my attention instantly.
~ The narration is simple yet very engaging and the events from past and present are very well presented.
~ There's war, emotions, abundance of Information about different types of Yoga making it a complete package.
~ The Author has made a commendable job when it comes to the research about Yoga and Ancient History.

Book: Dwandv: The Battle for the Gate
Author: Dinkar Goswami
Format: Kindle

First of All, Let me take a while to praise the cover!! I mean we always say that "Don't Judge a book by its cover", But my dear here you can judge this one!! This is one of the coolest Cover design I Have come across.
Now Coming to the story
This is a journey!! Journey to the mystical world in our ancient folklores. The hidden power of knowledge and yoga. Each and Everything is pretty detailed fashion is mentioned over here
Characters
All the characters in this book are pretty well developed, But still, I felt it would have been done in a much better manner, as we don't feel for the characters and their decisions as the story goes ahead. This is the only negative trait that I have felt in the book
Writing and Editing
The is another great thing I liked about the book, The writing is well-paced and never during my reading sessions, I felt as if the story is lagged or anything, moreover I felt even if it was a little more descriptive then also it would not have done any harm to the story.
So a Mythological adventure story, which gives you a brilliant insight into our world is not something that you should miss. I would highly recommend this to each and every person out there.

‘Dwandv: The Battle for the Gate’ by Dinkar Goswami is a mythological thriller and revolves around two friends Gerua and Kally who wanted to learn yoga and they arrive in India in search of a guru who can teach them. During their journey they meet Tony who tells them that he has a friend who know a yoga guru and would introduce them to him. During all this time there are weird visions that Gerua is experiencing but she doesn’t understand them and ignores them thinking that she is thinking too much. Soon, Tony introduces Gerua and Kally to his friend KK and after meeting him Gerua doesn’t get good vibes but again she feels that she is thinking too much. And hence, the journey to learn yoga from KK’s Guru starts. Why is Gerua experiencing these dreams? Are these dreams trying to convey a message to Gerua? To know more about this thrilling journey of Gerua and Kally read ‘Dwandv: The Battle for the Gate’
My Thoughts:
Plot is engaging and will keep the readers eager to know what is going to happen next. Story involves the Devas and the Asuras and the war to gain the ultimate knowledge i.e. ‘Siddhi’. Then we have two friends Gerua and Kally who really want to learn Yoga and eager to search a guru who can help them to learn the same. The journey towards attaining this vital knowledge is filled with challenges which will leave the readers surprised till the end.
Characters are well developed and we get to see how determined both Gerua and Kally were to start this journey. There are many characters but each of these characters is playing a very important role in helping Gerua to reach and to discover her true self.
Language is simple and lucid. The narration is done beautifully and it feels as if the event the struggle that the protagonist is going through is actually happening in front of us. I liked how author has linked the past and the present and I must say that the author has done extensive research about Ancient history and Yoga.
Book Cover depicts the plot and shows us the strong character of Gerua. The title of the book is also apt to the plot of the book.
Overall, I must say that this book is a perfect blend of mythology, thriller and adventure with mysterious mythological creatures.

'Dwandv- The Battle for the Gate' is a book from mythological genre. The title attracted me and drove me to read the book. And the book cover is very bold.
The story starts from adventurous trip which turned out to be some real thrill. The story educates the readers about Yoga: the good and the bad ones. Author covered The Vipasanna, The Kalaripayattu, The tantric Yoga in the story. Author chose the peaks and terrains of the great Himalaya for the story to take place and tried to unveiled the secrets of it.
Great imagination was needed to write such a paranormal story. Author succeeded in taking the readers completely into the story by his splendid way of narration and the flow of the language made it easy for the readers. I could completely imagine the characters, the places, the incidents taking place in the story. The complete story is thriller. The first half holds one type of thrill, where the second half is much more than that.
Though the story took me a lil more time than usual but it was great to stay in that completely mesmerising world. There are plenty of characters in the story, but since most of the story revolves around Gerua and Danta, only these two characters I would like to tell you about. Gerua, a simple girl, who likes the comfort of her room, can do anything for her dear friend, she can travel miles for her friend's wish. She's always hungry for knowledge, she's a fighter girl and respects human emotions. Danta is a kid and has all the certain characters of a normal kid and is always curious about everything.
I was a bit confused about the language spoken in the mautains. When Danta removed 'I' from 'Iku', it was childish fun but certainty made me think of the language out there.
At some places I felt the story could be a lil more thriller, if the protagonists were not always on safe side despite having all the danger around them.
One should not trust easily on everyone who meets them in their journey of life. Getting Siddhis is way beyond normal human but the book certain ignite the will to learn Yoga in the readers.
Highly recommended for the lovers of mythological thrill.

MY RATING- 4.5/5 STARS
“Mudra enables you to apply gentle pressure on nerve centers setting up energy flow. Mudras are also used in traditional dance forms and martial arts. Mudras are based on five main elements that are manipulated in proper proportion and setting such as movement, temperate, light and pressure to make life on planets such as Earth.”
This book is an adventurous Indian mythological fiction which introduce us to the protagonist Gerua who decides to visit India with her best friend Kally from USA in search of learning Yoga and some adventure. But little did they know, that this trip of them to find Siddhi will change their life all together. In the beginning of their journey they met Tony who is also into little bit of yoga but mostly a martial arts practitioner and he felt a sense of attraction and crush towards Gerua. One day Tony introduced his friend KK to the girls who claims to have ample of knowledge about Yoga and aghori, all four of them decided to head towards Himalayan region to meet KK’s guru and have the knowledge about the same as none of them knew it is going to be the last trip of their life. Gradually the love of Gerua and Tony also strengthens. During their trek upwards to the Himalayan mountains, Gerua sensed something is wrong with KK and he is not acting like a normal human being, she tried a lot to find out but fails in the end . But what happens to Kally ? will she die or will all of them die? Who is KK and Budda? And how Gerua landed in an ashram in the top of Himalayan mountain? And what powers does Gerua’s son Danta possess?
This book has abundance of knowledge about Yoga, meditation and spirituality with a positive outlook of the story make it more engrossing to read, it being a page turner. The plot, narrative and the story has been penned down so beautifully that keeps the reader engaged with it the whole day. The language is not much lucid yet very captivating. The hardwork of the author can be seen easily with such a gripping storytelling.

"Dwandv: The Battle for the Gate" by Dinkar Goswami. Looking at the cover page, one will know that this book has something to say, and that is why I picked this book up. If I have to say something about this book, I would like to say that this is a character-based book. Why? Because his book has made each and every character so decisive and equal importance to every detail in the book, not just the characters, but all the things that come under consideration like editing, storyline, plot, theme, writing, language, and e.t.c This book is about two friends named Gerua and Kelly where Kelly forces Gerua to learn Yoga in India. So let's talk about the main characters in the book or the protagonists Gerua and Danta. Gerua is a very soft-natured, intelligent girl, whereas Danta, a very childish kid, had a wonderful nature in his heart. This story is set in the Himalayas. The author has beautifully explained the beauty of the place. In learning, Gerua will also know many facts like the wars between Devas, Asuras and their fights. This book's central theme is Yoga and the mythology secrets. At the start, I was confused with the story because they are many characters in the book, which created whole confusion, but mainly the story revolves around Gerua and Danta. This is no just a typical mythology book. This has the thrilling element to it, which I really don't want to talk about as while reading the book, you will be surprised by the twist and how the story I linked to everything at the end. I wish there were fewer characters in the book and a more intense plot. Though the plot is too excellent, as I am in love with the author's writing style, I wanted to read a more intense story. Though I know that the characters are just imaginary, I couldn't help but fell in love with them. I think the author should add this note at the start of the book by adding that all the characters are imaginary. The narration is perfect, and the language is simple and so beautiful that I cried that the book has ended.

𝐃𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐯 - 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐆𝐚𝐭𝐞 ~ 𝙳𝚒𝚗𝚔𝚊𝚛 𝙶𝚘𝚜𝚠𝚊𝚖𝚒

#qotd - Which is the last mythological book that you have loved reading?

🛡️The unquenchable thirst for vital knowledge leads to battle between Deva and Asura destroying the mighty earth. Unable to find that, Asura leaves the earth. Devas try to protect it and leaves a warning, prophecy and a condition for the humans to prosper inorder to defeat the Asuras.
What is that prophecy?
Who is gonna fulfill that?
What is the gate?

⚔️This is a contemporary mythological fiction with backdrop as Himalayas. One could easily say that there is so much research done for it's compilation. The narration is quite impressive, instigating the reader's curiosity. It begins as a journey but ends as a adventure. I'm very much enthralled while reading the technology that the author penned in this book. All the mystical creatures, weapons, characters, and the powerful Himalayas fascinated me. You will come across words like Nirvana, Vipassana, Siddhi, Yoga, which are the pillars of this story. The beginning is fast paced and the detailed description of Siddhi has slowed down it a bit and later the story picked up it's pace. Few characters were forgotten eventually but the author gave a glimpse of them in the end. So, there will definitely be a sequel.

🔱 The thought of Himalayas always excited me and while reading this book, the author made me love it even more, with his narration. You must definitely pick this book if you are a fan of Mythology. The cover page which bore Geruva is radiantly stunning.

Book Name : Dwandv , The Battle For the Gate.
Author : Dinkar Goswami
Genre : Mythology, fiction, thriller

Firstly, I have never read any book like this. Given the wide varities of subjects available to write on, Dinkar has chosen 'Yog' which is very very interesting and different from any regular fictions. When I started reading the book, for the first four or five chapters it didn't quite excite me, but just after finishing Chapter 5, my reading pace went up, the twist was something else.
Secondly, the author has researched thoroughly about the advantages and disadvantages of practicing yog and tantra, the matter of spirituality, the possibility of attaining immortality through immense practice of yog. Most of the matters discussed in this story is fictional and not practical but the way Dinkar has put it down it's become a very interesting reading.

Now I would like to mention two things since I cannot say a word about the story as such, I liked the story very much but there were some teeny tiny mistakes grammatically which are obviously negligible. And the construction of the story could've been more better because what I feel is, had it been a regular fiction it wouldn't matter that much but since this is a completely different story altogether, a better construction could've attracted me more. This paragraph is totally personal.

About the story : Dwandv, the story revolves around Gerua and Kally, two best friends who've decided to come to India for practicing 'yog' in the Himalayas. On the way they meet a boy named Tony. They reach in Delhi and they stay at Anaya's residency. After spending a couple of days in Delhi they finally decide to go to the Himalayas.

What happens after that!!
How the lives of two young girls change suddenly !!
Who's the friend, who's the foe!!

All the answers are pretty satisfying ❤️
This is not a mythological book, let me tell you, it's a thriller with a touch of mythology. A must recommended for the book lovers.

A Mythological One Worth Reading

I chose to read this book because of the cover of the book as it really intrigued me and the prologue is just wow that took my heart and gave me a good time.

There is some part which bored me but the plot of the story kept me intrigued to read more and in last it gave a direction that there will be a second part and I will wait for it.

It is quite interesting to read but sometimes I couldn't imagine what was happening it was like I am reading words only but overall it is a nice book to read.

Recommended to Mythological readers who loves to devour a new story about mythological characters.

Shiva has bestowed vital knowledge and immortality to some god who has acquired shidda and doing good for humanity but as time passes some god wanted more and more power and that group become Asura and started fighting with god's to be superior from them and to hold the vital knowledge and the immortality.

The great war between God and Asura have done tremendous destruction and shiva didn't find them worthy enough to hold such vital knowledge so he left earth and bestowed a group of Siddha people who were loyal to him and they formed an ashram to give knowledge to those who are worthy for it.

While departing to serve Shiv, the ancients left a stark revelation implanted in the ashram. This revelation was in three parts The Warning, The Prophecy and the conditions.

The two friends Kally and Gerua living long away from India but they want to learn yoga for that they had travelled to India and where they met a man at the airport who invited them to there place to make them acquainted with some people who know about the gurus who can teach them yoga.

Little did they know that they are going to become part of the three revelations the ancients had left years ago.

What magnificent and glorious genre mythology has always been. It is so surreal how something that might or might not have taken place centuries ago can still be interpreted in our lives and stories. The book is mythological fiction and revolves around a wonderful story.

The story is of two young American women Gerua and Kally, who comes to India to learn about Yog. On their journey here, they met Tony and KK who offers them a mystical adventure in the Himalayas.

On the other hand, Bubba, a sinister master tantric, has partly accessed the vital knowledge of Siddhi. A pact is made between Bubba and Asura to hunt for the complete Vital Knowledge on Earth once again. Earth is in abysmal danger. How Gerua and her five-year-old son Danta, must find a cosmic shape-shifting gate that traverses space and time. If they are successful in finding the gate, Danta may become a super Siddha and be able to protect Earth as well as the Vital Knowledge.
.
Read to know more about this thrilling and adventurous journey.

👉The language used in the book is intriguing and descriptive. Loved how easily the author has described all those mystic places and experiences and characters.
👉There are many characters involved and all are described well. For me, the character of Gerua is best and inspiring.
👉The bond between Tony and Gerua is also sweetly described and I would have loved read more about them.
👉While there have been many books written about Aghoris, yoga, siddhi, this still seemed one of a kind, the story is unique and fresh. The thrill level is shocking and gets the reader hooked from the very start.
👉Overall, an excellent read.

Having been indulged in mythological books for a long time I must say this book is one of the best books that I have read that is a great combination of mythology, science fiction and fantasy.

Dwandv means duel amongst skillful woes often resulting in a disastrous outcome. It all starts eons ago with a cosmic Dwandv between Devas and Asuras to attain complete vital knowledge that leads to Siddhi which when used with a dangerous intent could lead to disasters. This vital knowledge is bestowed upon only a few selected mortals and Bubba, a tantric attained part of this vital knowledge via treachery and became Siddha. He along with Asura are in search of complete Vital knowledge on earth.

Gerua, an American woman along with her son Danta is chosen amongst many to attain the complete Vital Knowledge and avert the impending danger on earth by finding a cosmic shapeshifting gate. And in this process they have to tackle the sinister army of demons with the help of mythological creatures and ascetic warriors. Will Gerua and Danta be successful in finding the Gate? Will Bubba and Asura be able to stop them?

The story is narrated brilliantly by the author with a detailed description of yog and attaining siddhi and being a Siddha etc. The mythological creatures, the description of the Himalayas, the duel between Gerua and Bubba's army everything is explained in so much detail that it keeps you intrigued throughout the book.

I liked Gerua's strong and bold character a lot. The author has done a great job with the characterization and his research on yog is commendable. I can't wait to read the author's next book. This book is a must-read for all mythology lovers.

Dwandv by Dinkar Goswami is a mythological fantasy fiction. The story is set in the backdrop of Himalayas and in search of a gate which contain the Vital Knowledge of Universe, if use by evil forces can bring havoc on the earth.

The story revolves around Gerua and his son Danta. Gerua along with Kally came in search of Yog(Siddhi) to Himalayas in India. She met Tony and their love start to blossom. But evil has kept an eye on her and the prophecy of a paragon being born. Her life changed in a blink of eye and she found herself in a celestial asharam learning siddhi to became a Yogini.

Will she be able to attain Siddhi? Will she and her son Danta will find the gate of Vital Knowledge or will the evil will be successful in stopping both of them?

Story contains many mythological creatures and author has blended them artistically in the story line. As saying goes End is also a beginning. That's exactly how I felt at the end of story. The book ends with a teaser and a possibility of second book in the series and I would definitely like to read more for Gerua adventures.

The language is pretty easy and characters are well defined. Barring a few places where they are sharing the knowledge and you need to concentrate, it was well paced throughout the story. I really liked how author has managed to simplify the narration and the world of Yog doesn't get lost in it.

The cover pic is absolutely gorgeous. It defines the powerfulness of Gerua beautifully. Each chapter starts with a background of Himalaya on the page which I thought was a nice touch. Good book to start with your mythology fantasy journey.

Title - Dwandv - The Battle for the Gate
Author - Dinkar Goswami
Genre - mythological/thriller fiction

This book is a thriller fiction read with a touch of mythology. The story sets up in the region of Himalayas in India and revolves around our protagonist Gerua who came to India all the way from USA along with her son,Danta and friend Kally to learn Yog.

Years ago Asuras and Devas fought with each other to attain vital knowledge of cosmic powers ie,Siddhi. Now antagonist Bubba, sinister master tantric who has partly attained this vital knowledge is in search for Siddhi on earth along with Asuras.

On the other hand Gerua and his son Danta are in need of cosmic shape shifting gate which traverers time and space. If they can find this gate then Danta would be the next super Siddha who would be able to protect the vital knowledge and save earth.

Will Gerua and Danta be able to find that gate and save earth?

Dwandv or more precisely duel, is a fight amid skillful foes with favorable or unfavorable outcomes. Mythology has always been my favorite genre as the first book I read as a novel was a mythology fiction. Talking about the protagonists in this story is Gerua, an American girl with her 5 year old child Danta, who comes to India to learn Yoga and is chosen to save the world by receiving vital knowledge or siddhi. Now for that to attain they are in need of Cosmic shape shifting gate that traverses space and time. After finding this gate Danta would attain complete Siddhi and be able to protect Earth. As any story is incomplete without a strong evil character in it. So in this story Bubba an evil tantric is portrayed as the enemy of humanity and world. He has attained a few powers or siddhi but wants to attain the whole powers by learning the vital knowledge. In this story Asura gets support from Bubba's army in search of siddhi. Gerua being strong and determined is the prime target of Bubba as he thinks she knows the way to the gate of siddhi in Himalayas. There are a lot of twists and turns ahead in this story. The story keeps moving and introducing new characters with a sense of suspense to read the next page for readers.
The book cover is strong and seems to depict Gerua in it, a strong girl. The title is strong just like the story line. Language used is simple and the characters seems to come out of the story. While reading it you can easily create a picture of them in your mind. Must read for a mythology lover just like me.

Highly recommended

Mythological with a twist, felt like mythological with sci-fi. Definitely a great book and excellent creativity by the author.

When Shiv bestows Deva with vital knowledge which gives immortality and unparalleled cosmic power called Siddhi, little did he know it would start a war one day.

From Deva the Siddha and the asuras were formed, the asuras didn't feel the need to follow whatever Deva said.

So it comes as a surprise for Asura that Bubba a master tantric on planet earth has partial knowledge of the vital knowledge. So a plot is formed to find Siddhi with help of bubba.

An woman named Gerua alongwith her son Danta are bestowed with the vital information. So of course when this information reaches bubba he unleashes his army and then the action packed book starts.

What happens with the vital knowledge? Can Gerua save it? What is Dantas role in the book?

This is a very interesting roller coaster book with a lot of characters. I loved the names of the characters and the descriptions also were very nice in the book.

The book is unique in the sense that it has mixed the old with the new characters, some characters are from the Indian mythology and the names do seem familiar and some absolutely new names.

The language of the book is simple and the book is very crisp.

The cover is excellent and definitely a good cover makes the first impression of the book.

Highly recommended to all

Dwandv: The Battle for the Gate

by Dinkar Goswami

With an array of mythology, comes "Dwandv: The Battle for the Gate”. This is the story of protagonists maneuvering through life, with the help of sharp intellect and unwavering gallantry. This is also a story that casts itself across the social strata, to portray the fabric of relationships in a very tattered and revealing manner especially when it comes to mystery.

It is a book that isn’t directed, isn’t sharpened—rather appears to come to us like a web of conversations and events, imbibing an all-round inclusion of the storytelling spirit and essence of mythology with fiction. ⁣

The author has philosophized this story in such a bright and exuberant way, that it ceases to be just a story. It evolves and transcends to represent the germination and thrive of certain ideologies, figments of emotions, and some very distinct trails of thought that question some of the very basic foundations of how we perceive and analyse. ⁣

The quality of bewilderment coats book with a glaze of soothe and calm. The text, while reading, makes you visualize the interplay of events unfolding before your eyes. You see it all: struggles, calamity, liberation, enlightenment, mystery, suspicion and realities of life.⁣

The revival of mythological subjects can be easily observed these days in literary scenario. Mythology or we can say super history has always been a prominent theme for writing, and this book is also belongs to this genre. If we discuss about the story line and backdrop of the story, one can find it as a balanced bridge to connect the content with contemporary human psyche by using symbol of Shiva as immortality and knowledge. The concept of asura and Great War between Asura and god can be seen as contemporary war that the people now days go through their life. Most probably, the intention of the author behind the story line is in this direction. Such type of book is always remained open for multiple interpretations on through reader’s response, and this is best part for any quality literary work. The author has provided multiple scopes through symbolism and deep rooted concept that make the author to feel it as a quality read.

Moreover, the book is critically about the philosophy of some Vital Knowledge, a siddhi, which only a few siddha people would be able to have, and the protagonist's son Danta is to be the next Super Siddha. It sometimes seems difficult to understand the intent of the story but when the story moves in multiple directions, it becomes easy to grab and enjoy. Overall, it gives a fresh experience of reading something unique.

The plot of the story is very well conceived and plotted. The timelines are crafted in an interesting manner, and the events take place sequentially, helping the reader connect with the story in greater detail. The author has taken time to explain the scenes on detail and it helps in creating a visual story to connect with the plot and the characters. The concept of the book has laid down the foundation of an interesting series that promises to be a gripping ride. I liked the idea of how ancient concepts have been given a scientific twist and included in the book. This lends an aura of authenticity as well as relatability to the story. Another interesting thing about the story is the alternative perspectives of events between Bubba and Gerua, which helps quite a lot on character development. I liked the way the book ends, and keeps the interest up for the next book in the series.

Coming to the characters, Bubba’s character, though antagonist, has been developed and plotted with extreme care. He has been described in detail, and through the course of the story, we see threads of his past unravelling. The second character that impressed me was that of Gerua, and the resilience she shows in the face of adversity. From the very first moment till the last page, we see Gerua battling her emotions, and her struggles are very well detailed and described.

This is a different read. I wish there will a second book which continues to narrate the story of Dante and his fight against sinister begins.

This is a mythological fiction thriller.

The story begins when two people from the States are visiting India to find and gain knowledge on Yoga. The girl of Indian Origin named Gerua hears about yoga practices, tantric yoga, and about aghoris and feared whether they will find a good yogi. Gerua and Kally met a guy named Tony when they reached Inda and his friend convince them that he knows a yogi and all 4 start the quest to Himalayas,

Tony and Gerua loved each other and their travel to the Himalayas was so good and they had some doubt about Tony's friend which went true. Kally fell from the range and a horse took her. Gerua fell and the mountain swallowed her made her reach her destiny and she found the divine ashram with immortal yogis and gained Vital Knowledge and she was expecting and became a mother of Danta, a special Kid with Karmic siddhi.

The way Gerua was portrayed was so good and loved the writing style. I didn't say much about Bubba, an Aghori with a lot of powers who control all sinister begins and using Asura technology.

Already I have said a lot. Just read it guys. No more Spoilers.

Wish to read the next part of Dwandav soon.

The story revolves around two close friends Kally and Gerua who wanted to learn yoga for which they landed in India. In the start, they were in a search of a guru in this unknown country who could make them learn yoga from the basics. Suddenly they met Tony who told them that his friend knows yoga and can make them learn. This made Gerua and Kally so satisfied and happy. But there was something which was bothering Gerua, even she wasn't knowing it but she could Experience and feel some bad vibes. Gerua ignores all of it and keeps on moving. After a while, Tony introduces KK to Gerua and Kally who will be teaching Yoga to them. Again Gerua felt something unusual but she ignored it as she thought that she is thinking way more than she should.

What do think, what will be happening next?
Is there anything which she is ignoring?

The author has beautifully written the whole plot. All the characters are very well developed and described. Although there are many characters every character is unique in its way. The language used is reader-friendly. The narration is good and the flow in the entire story is very well maintained. The book cover is appropriate as per the plot. Overall everything is superb

Battle of the Equals!

Book Review:

Dwandv essentially means fight between equals to ascertain supremacy of one over the other. Dwandv is a mythological fiction novel based on the procurement of the Vital Knowledge or 'siddhi'.

Shiva, the possessor of the Vital Knowledge bestowed some of it on the Devas but they split up and became the Devas and the Asurs-the good and the bad. After wrecking havoc on Earth, the Asurs leave, only to return later for their quest of the Vital Knowledge. Meanwhile, Bubba, a crook, by means of trickery, acquired some of the Vital Knowledge and became a 'siddha'. The Asurs, along with Bubba started on their pursuit of 'siddhi', again, causing destructions. An Indian-American, Gerua, is however, chosen by the custodians of the Vital Knowledge as their prodigy to safeguard it. The battle that ensues to acquire 'siddhi' forms the plot of the novel.

Dwandv is a very good attempt at mythological genre by Dinkar Goswami. It also has elements of life lessons, importance of 'Yoga', prayers and goodwill. It's not a very lengthy read and the language is not complex. Happy reading!

Title - Dwandv : The Battle for
The Gate

The cover of the book is eye catchy which made me to pick it up. The story revolves around the protagonists Gerua and Kally, young American women who come to India to learn Yoga. TITLE : Dwandv : The Battle For The Gate
AUTHOR : Dinkar Goswami
Genre : Mythological Fiction
No. of Pages : 196

REVIEW : ✴️A great book written in mythological genre that does a complete justice to its title.
✴️Gerua and Kally had been best friends for many years in USA.
✴️Kally asks gerua to go to india to learn yoga. At first the Gerua is not ready but after the insistence of Kally, she gets ready.
✴️They have no idea that their decision is going to change their life.
✴️Kally was an extrovert who made friends easily. Gerua in contrast, kept pretty much to herself and rarely opened up to anyone, except to Kally, whom Gerua considered her dearest and closest friend.
✴️The entire story of the book is written around acquiring a vital knowledge known as Siddhi.
✴️The author has coined all these words Siddhi(unparalleled cosmic powers), Asura, Devlok, Vipassana, Kalaripayatutu and Tantric Yoga in a meaningful way and the curiosity of the reader will increase with the progress in this book.
✴️I likes the book cover beacuse it is well designed and it completely resembles the story of the book.
✴️If you like to read mythological genre, then this book will be perfect for you.
Thankyou☺️

The book is mythological fiction and revolves around a wonderful story.
The book is about the attainment of knowledge via Yog.

In this story there are two young American women Gerua and Kally, who comes to India to learn about Yog. In the meantime, they met two guys namely Tony and KK who offers them a mystical adventure in the Himalayas.

Did they succeed?
Who won the battle of virtuous or evilness?

Do read this book, the book is very well designed and written. The author has done a marvellous job and done a thorough research in historical mythological fiction. The language is lucid. Highly recommendable.

Right from reading the title the readers are captivated and drawn into the story. The author does a good job throughout and has not disappointed the readers even ahead in the book. The author has extensively talked about Yoga in the book and highlighted the good and bad sides of it. All of this is well researched and executed very smartly by the author.
The authors phenomenal imagination just flows on paper through his words giving the readers a chance to experience it themselves. This imagination is the main USP of the book according to me. Just like most mythological thrillers, the readers can anticipate the book to take a little longer to complete but for an amazing book like this, the time is definitely worth it. The characters of the book are thoughtfully written and do a great job in taking the story ahead. This is one of the rare books that can keep the readers interest right from start to finish. I highly recommend this to readers in search of an amazing next read! It is surely a nicely written mythological fiction thriller that will stay with the readers for a long time.
