Having read and reviewed a number of the Novella Nostalgia Series, of which this is the latest, courtesy of the publishers, I was delighted when a copy arrived in the post. This was a surprise as the company know that I am not a fan of the genre or of classic cinema, as you may have read in previous reviews.
SabreTooth was wasted on me as personally I seem to have completely missed the point both as a sequel and with inspiration from 'The Day of the Jackal.' Written as a sequel to Oliver Richbell's excellent novella 'Gloriana,' this idea has of course been successfully done that a different author writes a sequel.
Apologies for my negativity to the author who has obviously put a lot of work and effort into writing and publishing this novella which contains good characterisation and plenty of action. Just disappointingly a storyline that failed to hit the mark for me this time.
If you are a fan of the novellas and or the author R.M. Cartmel this will probably be a couple of hours well spent.
Mr C has done it again. Another great tale from the mind of R.M.Cartmel. It is a sequel to Gloriana, but it carries well by itself. Great characters and a well-told tale of post-Brexit goings-on. It draws you in and holds you there until the last page. a must for any crime or thriller lovers bookshelf.
