3.5 stars for me!
Clean Slates was a very interesting read for me! I did not read any of the other books of the Love in Sienna series, so cannot compare, but i overall liked this one! It's the story of Kyle (a single-dad, who manages a rock band but secretly dreamed of being a rock-star himself) and Meadow (a sweet woman who owns a restaurant, and is a surrogate for her gay friends). Contrary to the slow burn romances i usually read, this was insta-love which grew stronger and stronger with time! There were many things i loved about the book, such as the love Kyle has for his daughter and the sacrifices he made without feeling any sorrow, the sweet relationship Meadow formed with little Lilli, the sizzling chemistry between Kyle and Meadow, and the true friendships that were central to the story!
Nevertheless, i would have liked to see some more story development. Some parts were very intriguing but were left very underdeveloped. Meadow is fearful of intimacy due to being hurt in the past, but this was barely touched upon. She is also a surrogate for her best friend, but the pregnancy is very briefly mentioned throughout (didn't she have any discussions AT ALL with Kyle about this?). What about little Lilli's mom? We do know how come Kyle became a single father, but what happened afterwards until her comeback? Many things were left unanswered and not properly developed.
Overall, if you enjoy rockstar romance with the single-dad trope, this is a very nice read!!!

Love in Sienna series just keeps getting better and better and Clean Slates was an amazing story that brought so much emotion in the first few chapters but also so many funny and sexy moments that I just couldn't get enough of.
It's amazing been able to see how Laura John has progress so much as a writer, her stories are all so real and talk about the real struggles in live. Her characters are so likeable and always comes out with the most perfect couples.
Meadow was the most amazing character ever, she is loving, caring and so sweet. With struggles for the past and wounds that are not heal, she embarks in a new journey where she selflessly is helping her best friend Mason. She is not looking for a relationship but when sexy single dad Kyle comes into the picture she starts questioning everything.
Kyle was sexy as sin, his love for his daughter made me swoon after him from the very first page. When he mets Meadow he comes back to wishing and dreaming, something he hasn't done in a long time.
Both of these character are looking for a clean slate and you need to read this story to find out if they are able to do it or not.
ps: loved that we see characters from the previous books in the series and we can catch up with them.

I love Kyle and Meadow! I was so happy to see Meadow get her own story, and it was fantastic.
The angst and slow burn in this story is REAL, so be prepared for a roller coaster ride of emotions and feelings. I love Kyle's character because he's such an amazing dad and puts his dreams last to provide for his little family. I love Meadow's character because she's selfless and amazing, caring more for others than herself. Kyle and Meadow combined make a dynamic duo, but they go through their own growing pains and drama to get to the places they both deserve to be at.
It was so nice to go back to Sienna and see the fun cast of characters again, and each book just gets better and better in this series. Also, can we talk about that cover for a quick second?! I think it's my favorite in the series! I'll be re-reading this one, for sure!

I love rockstar romances so much, and throw in the single dad trope PLUS that cover, I couldn't wait to read this book! And while i did enjoy it a great deal, there was just this disconnect between me and the characters that I never got past, no matter how hard I tried.
So Kyle is a single dad to the most precious little girl in the world, working a job that he loves, but is still trying to get the courage to chase his dreams. When his fiance left him and his daughter seven years ago, he put aside all of his wants and needs to be the best father possible, and he's done everything since to make sure that little girl never felt the absence of her mother (cue all the tears!) He works as the tour manager for Dustin Maxx, and it's there that he's introduced to the gorgeous Meadow who takes his breath away. There's such an electric chemistry between them right away, and they don't even bother to fight it. But time just might not be in their sides.
Meadow has had some shitty luck with men, and is blaming herself for some truly heartbreaking trauma. She has a really good life with great friends, and she's doing a seriously selfless and wonderful thing (I can't spoil it, sorry!) For her closest BFF, but she yearns to have that all consuming soulmate love. When she meets Kyle, she's surprised by how much he affects her right away. They share a seriously hot night together, and just as she thinks this might be the guy to come along and make her dreams come true.. He ruins it in the most epic of ways.
Circumstances change and Kyle is in desperate need of a nanny while Dustin, him and the rest of the band goes on tour. The only person who is able to do it, that Kyle can trust, is Meadow, but can she keep her heart closed to him while she falls in love with his daughter? Or will be prove that one mistake isn't reason enough to keep them apart?
Like i said above, I did really like the story, and I truly enjoyed all the characters and relationships with one another. I felt the love that Kyle and Meadow had for one another, as well as the utter devotion they both had for Kyle's daughter, Lillianna. (Seriously, her and Meadow were absolutely PRECIOUS together!) But I don't know how to explain it, but there was just *something* missing for me here. Maybe it was the drama that happened towards the very (And I do mean very) end, but there was just something holding me back from really loving this book.
Overall it was all very well written, and I will continue to read this authors work!

I’ve loved this whole series, but Meadow has a special spot in my heart, thanks to her relationship with Mason and her willingness to help him have his dream. So now it’s very fitting that she get her turn at her own dream. Of course, it couldn’t come knocking at a more awkward time, but that’s okay. Meadow and Kyle manage to move beyond Kyle’s stellar blowup and evidence of his short-tempered stupidity to become friends...then more...then maybe everything they’ve ever wanted. And when Kyle finds his confidence to pursue his dream career, thanks to Meadow, they have to decide how life will work out. Of course, Meadow’s old insecurities have a very valid reason to slap her upside the head, and Kyle needs to do some serious work to regain her trust while putting her heart back together.
I love how this author brings the heat, the humor (OMG the glitter!), and the camaraderie of this group into every story without it feeling false or overpowering the couple we need to focus on. And the fact that she doesn’t shy away from a little bit of drama, some angst, and the very real stupidity of humans makes her writing that much more enjoyable. I adore this series and always end each book with the impatient hope for more around the corner.

This series is just so sweet. I mean it’s not all sugary sweet but it it gets you in the feels. It’s sweet with an edge. These characters just burrow in and steal your heart! Kyles been managing his friends band for a while and on a whim he decided a to hang out with the band after a show for a little one night of fun before the tour starts especially when a gorgeous red head shows up. Oh those one night stands will get you every time. The beginning of this book will gut punch you and the middle will give you all the feels and well the ends going to have to be a surprise. I adore that Laura John always does an epilogue that just is the cherry on top. It’s separate so you can decide if your happy with the ending and where you think it goes or if you just have to know where it goes. There is laughter in these books, there is sadness and there is heat! It’s a well rounded story line of goodness! I can’t wait to see who’s story is next from this series! Also I may want this quote as a tattoo! “Just let the universe take you on the journey you’re meant for.”

Oh my stars, this book has everything I look for when trying to find a book to read!! There were parts that broke my heart, but also parts that literally made me laugh out loud. I definitely look forward to reading more from this author, she knows how to write a book!!

Kyle and Meadow are by far my favorite couple so far. I absolutely adore Meadow and she is the most selfless, caring sweetheart and she would do anything for the ones she loves. All she wants to to be happy fall in love and have that love reciprocated and start a family but she has had terrible luck in the men department. Kyle was left a single father at a young age and having to put his life and dreams on hold to provide for him and a new baby but he would do absolutely anything for his little girl. These two meet and it is instant chemistry that is off the charts. These two together is amazing I love their banter, their passion and the fire they both have for each other. Don’t get me wrong they went through some rough ups and downs but ultimately came out on top. There are some LOL moments (glitter!!) and there are some amazing tear jerking moments. Let’s not forget about Kyle’s daughter Lilli who is just the curtest. She is so sweet and innocent and just so full of life. You can’t help but fall in love with her from the very first moment. She is too smart for her own good sometimes but she definitely added and extra spark to the story. Laura John has this amazing talent of really creating the most well rounded stories that hits every emotion and leave you with hearts in your eyes.

Who wouldn’t jump in with Kyle?, not only is he hot, he is one hell out of great dad to 6-year-old Lillianna – who I have to say stole the show, she is one hell of a great little girl, just the right amount of sassiness mixed in with a whole lot of curtness. A brilliant hot sexy read that you won't want to put down!
Kyle became a single dad when Lillianna was a baby, he always wanted to be part of the music business, but his dream of being on stage is now that just a dream but as tour manager to Dustin Maxx he still can be part of the world he loves. Kyle is introduced to Meadow at a meet and greet and finds out she is friends with Dustin's Wife. The two hit it off but Meadow’s life is complicated, however, when Kyle needs someone to come on the road and look after Lillianna Meadow is persuaded to take on the role. The growing love between Meadow and Lillianna is exquisite and little Lillianna is wise beyond her years. And when you add in the sizzling heat on the bus between Meadow and Kyle you can understand why Meadow needs to Jump!

Meadow plans to be a surrogate for her best friend, so she allows herself just one night. However, their lives are too intertwined & the feelings are too strong for them to stay apart.
This series has always warmed my heart. Each book is unique, but equally amazing. This one is no different. Kyle is a sweet, caring single dad, but he goes totally dominant alpha in the bedroom & it is HOT. The relationship between Meadow and Kyle's daughter, Lilli, melted me into a puddle.
As always, Laura has a great message surrounding the mental health stigma and normalizing the need for therapy. It's one of my favorite aspects of her writing. I also loved the message of following your heart & doing what feels right regardless of what society says your timeline should be ❤ Laura does a wonderful job writing a plot that has it all- humor, drama, emotional moments, steam, and a beautiful underlying message.

I loved Meadow when I met her in Mason's story. She is the sweetest person and has a loving spirit, yet is super unlucky in love. I was so excited to see Laura gave her a book.
Kyle is a sweet, single dad focused on making sure his daughter has the best life. He's almost too good at being a dad as he's given up his dreams to support her. His stubbornness gets him in to some sticky situations.
Both characters have huge walls and an almost magnetic pull. Watching the story progress was simply a joy. As always I love that so many of Laura's characters pop up in these books. It's a fun check in with some of my beloved book friends.
The story is full of entertainment. I laughed at their antics, cried when things got tense, yelled at their choices, freaked out a bit and swooned when... well I won't tell you. Read it. You will not be disappointed.

Another great story!
This story had me laughing out loud at some scenes, not gonna lie *looking around* I’m stealing some prank ideas from this guys...... 🤣🤣
We met Meadow on Confidential Moments and when I found out she was getting her own story I was really happy. Meadow has not had very good luck in the dating department 😞 and I really wanted to see her getting her HEA. 💖
There was a moment when I wanted to reach into the story and slap 👋 Kyle, just remembering my blood reaches high temperature levels 😠 I understand that sometimes anger can make you do or say things that you might not feel, but words can be more hurtful. 😢
I love the support this characters have not only from their family but from their friends.
We get to see Mikey & Tia (the ones that started it all 😉), Dustin & Crystal, and of course Xavier & Mason.
If you haven’t started the series you are missing out on some pretty amazing stories.
And like with the ending of each story, Laura leaves me wanting more from the secondary characters, like Samantha...... Laura she needs a HEA too!!!! And what’s the deal with Cara and Ace? And Liam and Tatianna!!!!!

"I can't brain enough to control my potty mouth this early in the morning."
Clean Slates is a fun and emotional story about following your heart and your dreams.
Kyle and Meadow were both only looking for one night of fun before he went back on tour and she was taking a year off men and alcohol. When Kyle needs someone to look after his daughter Lilli he turns to Meadow who agrees to watch her and go on tour with them. One night of passion and two months on a tour bus can change your whole world.
Clean Slates gave me all the feels. Kyle and Meadow have so much tension between them since they never get the alone time they are craving due to Lilli, but when they finally get it the pages set on fire. Lilli is seriously the cutest little girl ever. It was great to catch up with some old characters. I can not wait to see where this series is headed next.

I loved this book!! It's just the type of story I completely enjoy. Kyle and Meadow make such a wonderful couple and are great for each other. Kyle is a fantastic single dad and Meadow is so amazing to everyone.

The Love in Sienna series gets better and better every book! Clean Slate is book 6 in the series. You meet Meadow first in her best friend Mason’s book, (book 5), Confidential Moment. From the moment I read that book, I knew I loved Meadow. I really hoped she would get her own book, and yay, here it is.
Meadow and Kyle meet unexpectedly and hit it off right away. But something happens to push them a part so while you are reading you are sad. But fate has a funny way of putting two people destined to be together back in each other’s company. Will they work out and get their happy ever after? Or will the thing pushing them apart, keep them that way?
Get ready for all the feels when you read this book! I absolutely loved Meadow and Kyle but mostly, I loved Kyle’s daughter, Lilli! She is adorable and sassy! So fun, cute as a button!

Clean Slates is Book #6 in the Love in Sienna Series. Kyle is a single dad, aspiring singer who works as a tour manager to support his family. Meadow has this plan of giving up men in order to be a surrogate for her best friend and his husband. The attraction between Kyle and Meadow is instant and the love that she has for his little girl is heartwarming. This book is full of banter for days, hilarious pranks, chemistry of the charts, and so much love and joy among this group of friends that feels more like a family. This was by far my favorite book in this series and I can't wait for the next book in this series.

I enjoyed the book but I wasn't so enthralled that I couldn't put it down. I didn't really fall in love with the characters as much as I did in the other books of this series. I loved the surrogacy journey that Meadow went through I thought that was an awesome thing to include in the book. There wasn't anything that I didn't like about the book but it wasn't my favorite book in the series. I look forward to seeing if Laura continues this series.

Everybody deserves a second chance!
The sixth book in The Love In Sienna series and it did not disappoint. It was oh so good!
The story of Kyle and Meadow picked up where Mason and Xavier left off. Laura had a unique way of connecting the storylines so they flow perfectly. She alternates the characters stories and I just love that.
We always see something different yet familiar with new and old characters and it’s positively refreshing!
Lilli stole the show just so you know! She was absolutely the best! I really loved Meadows heart of gold! She was so many things from a hollers romantic to a giving friend. She was borderline perfect. Kyle was amazing too, but Lilli and Meadow stole my heart!

I really enjoyed this book. I relate to Meadow and her romantic heart probably more than any other character in this series. I like that most of the struggles that were encountered in this book were against the pretenses that society puts on an individual and how they must act in a relationship. I also enjoyed getting to know some of the characters who have previously been in the shadows. Oh, and Laura John really seemed to step up the spice in this one. It’s on a whole other level! Love it!

Meadow plans to give up men and be a surrogate for her best friend and his husband. This book is about overcoming past hurts to find true happiness. It’s also about having the courage to follow your dreams, no matter what they are.
The book has the same superb writing style I’ve come to expect from Laura. I especially love how she manages the large ensemble cast of supporting characters! The book is full of witty banter, hilarious pranks, seriously sizzling chemistry, so much love and joy, but also drama, angst, and some tears. Laura always covers the full emotional spectrum in each book. She’s also a master of leaving me wanting more!😂 I love this group of people so much! I hope we see more of Bruno and Damon, as well as Samantha in the future! This is a must read, as are the rest of the books in the series!❤️📚
This is another must read by Toni Aleo! Kirby and Jaylin are beautifully written complex characters that you'll love to root for. We get to see some of our favorite characters from the Icecats and Assassins, as well as some new characters. As usual, Toni explores the entire emotional spectrum, with plenty of banter, laughs, and sizzling chemistry mixed in! I can't wait for the potential future books that could come out of the other characters mentioned!!

Kyle's start to the story was sad with the way that Paisley left him and baby Lilli. Meadow is the one female that makes him feel again. Kyle and Meadow agree to a one-night stand and then things go array. Kyle ends up sticking his foot in his mouth by saying some really horrible things to Meadow and calling her horrible names. Thankfully, he apologizes and is able to get back in her good graces so that she will care for Lilli while on tour. As the story progresses so does Kyle and Meadow's relationship and they finally get their happy ending all while Meadow gives her gay best friend and his husband their happy ending by giving them a baby girl.

This is the sixth story in the series, and while they are all about different couples, majority of the characters are returning and it's assumed that you know who they are already (seeing as this is book six), so just to maximize your enjoyment of this story, read the previous stories. OK, so Kyle and Meadow, Kyle is Dustin's manager, Meadow is Mason's best friend. We have "met" them before, they however, even with this small group have not met each other. Meadow is about to embark on an amazing and selfless journey to help Mason and Xavier enlarge their family, so on her last night to cut up she meets Kyle and they hit it off big time. Both are very aware that this is a one time thing only, but that's never how these things work out. Will the two people that maintain they are not in the market for more, jump on the relationship train?
What an amazing story!! I loved every second of Meadow and Kyle's story. With laughs, drama, cuteness overload, and super hot naughty moments; we get a story that I could not put down and just ate up till the last page. I wonder if I'm the only one that wants a Damon and Bruno story now? I give Meadow and Kyle 5 stars.

My heart broke for Kyle when Presley just walked out leaving her 3 month baby.
To put his dream of being a musician on hold to make sure Lilli was provided for.
Meadow giving the ultimate gift to her person Mason and being her surrogate is just amazing!
The insecurities from both Kyle and Meadow just rip and your heart and it cops you in the feels.

Damn, the emotional roller coaster was intense. I absolutely loved it. After book 5 I couldn't wait for this book to come out. And Kyle, they are great for each other, I have to admit my jaw dropped when he acted liked a D bag but he made up for it in spades so all was forgiven. I loved the added twist towards the end, and the bonus epilogue, OMG it was so totally incredible. I didn't want it to end, and now I have to hope that there is more to come because I love this great group of characters and this series. Amazing job as always Laura!

Every book of Laura Johns that I read I say the same. I loved it. It was so good. This was her best book yet. Do you know what though? I mean every freaking word of it.
This family in this series of books is something else. Like your love for the series it just keeps on growing.

Laura John is a wonderful author and one I love to read. This book shows that life is not always easy but the journey is worth it. Both the main characters have been hurt by relationships in the past. Neither is looking for love but life has other plans for them. It's part of a series but can be read as a standalone novel. The storyline takes you through some of the drama and struggles but it does have the HEA in the end. I enjoy the secondary characters (from being the main characters of previous books in the series) mixed in adding to the plot and character development.

In typical Laura John fashion this story not only brought a boatload of sweet and steamy moments but also a healthy dose of real life moments. It’s the real life moments that pull you into the Love in Sienna series and makes you want to take up residence. This series embraces all that makes us human and allows us to love each and every perfectly imperfect character.
Kyle and Meadow swept me into their amazing love story and I fell hard. Although things definitely weren’t easy they were relatable and that made me love them so much. When you add in Lili and the rest of the gang I couldn’t get enough. I laughed, I sighed, I felt like I needed a group hug. So much goodness wrapped up into this book and it was perfection.

I have said it before but I LOVE this series! I love that we got to see a story for Meadow! The heat, the passion, it is all there. Kyle will have you falling in love especially with how he is with his daughter. Can't wait to read what comes next!
