Were the mysterious, swirling lights emanating from under Merri's Impala just an earthly anomaly, or a cry for help from a distant planet? Investigating the lights led Merri and Detective Holt to a barbaric planet where they worked to rescue the king and queen of Salezan who were being held hostage. In returning them to their home planet, Merri and Detective Holt found themselves in a volatile situation where a civil war was about to break-out. Could they save themselves from the strange, barbaric society and it's inhumane rituals? With only each other to depend on, could they free themselves and find their way home?

A fun, fast-paced ride.

This is truly a science fiction love story. An ordinary woman (Merri) goes on an extraordinary adventure into other dimensions. She helps and is helped by all kinds of wild and fun characters, including sentient starships. Great fun for anyone!
