Returning home to focus on his family, Bob had barely gotten his bags unpacked when a frantic call from Akir revealed that the Earth was being invaded by an alien fleet and Bob's future self was the one leading it. While Midnight and Akir had succeeded in changing the future, future Bob had stolen the powers of the timelord and used them to bring his massive flag ship and most of his fleet back in time to the present.
