Mr. Abercrombie gazes at me, his face blank. Wow, he has gorgeous green eyes. They’re like jewels. Jesus, he probably thinks I’m a stoned idiot. I should abort this mission before I can humiliate myself any further. Just as I’m about to turn and run, someone bumps into me from behind, launching me straight toward him.

And my lips land right onto his.

Oh. My. F**king. God.

I want to jump into a deep hole and die of shame. Before I can pull myself away and hide in my dorm room until the end of time, he wraps his arms around me and starts kissing me back. What is going on?! I stiffen when he thrusts his tongue into my mouth. S**t, is this going to turn into a French kiss? In panic mode, I put my hands on his chest, about to shove him away. But something happens. I relax and begin enjoying the kiss. He tastes like cola. I like cola (a little too much if you ask my dentist). Madison was right about his ability to give me an amazing first kiss.

A smile appears on his face when our lips come apart. “Well, that’s one way of introducing yourself,” he says.

If I were a cool girl, I would give him a witty reply or, at the very least, say, “Hi, I’m Jessica. What’s your name?”

But since I’m an utter dork, I squeak, “Sorry!”

And I run out of the house.

I hail from Cleveland, aka the best freaking city in the world, and believe LeBron James is the perfect human being. Despite all of my efforts, I have never truly been able to quit caffeine. My favorites include Taylor Swift, Florence + the Machine, and SHINee. I love to hate/hate to love k-dramas. If I say I’m on a diet, I’m just lying to you and myself. One of these days, I'm going to get hypertension from an excess of salt, both literal and figurative. If I'm awkward around you, I probably don't know what to say to you and/or I think you're hot. And despite what anyone says, Forrest Gump so deserved that Oscar over Pulp Fiction.

Jessica is a freshman at university who has never played truth or dare, nor has had a first kiss. Her new friends dare her to kiss a guy she’s never met. She goes over to do it, chickens out, is bumped into, and ends up kissing him anyway. Later in class, she meets this guy officially. His name is Everett. Jessica is shy and Everett is outgoing. He makes it hard for her to say no to basically dating him. I would have given this book more stars if it weren’t for the fact that Everett said they would go slow but they did everything but actual intercourse the second time they met. This book was well written and I loved Jessica. She was sweet and shy. I recommend this quick read.

This is a sweet and steamy story of love at first sight. It's a short story with strong characters and an entertaining story line. The author packs a ton in this quickie and moves it fluidly with her descriptive writing. It's an enjoyable read.

I can't quite remember if I have read anything by this author. In saying that, this definitely will not be the only story I read This author has a whimsical way of drawing the reader into any scene while subtly conveying its importance to the main character Jessica. While at a boring frat party she and her friends decide to spice things up with a game of truth or dare. While playing the game Jessica accidentally confesses that she's never been kissed. Being the good friends that they are the scope out a tall beautiful victim Jessica affectionally labels him as "Mr. Abercrombie" A fellow party goer accidentally bumps into her which conveniently causes her lips to clash with his. You'll definitely want to pick this short story up to discover just what exactly happens between shy new in town Jessica and Mr. Abercrombie.

Never been kissed.... well why not have your first kiss on a dare, just hope it is a good one. Jessica is in college and her main focus is studying, but when her friend and her go out the play truth or dare and find out that she has never been kissed. When they push Jessica toward Mr. Abercrombie, she was about to turn around when she was pushed into him and on to his lips. Everette is tall and handsome, he is intrigued when he was approach by a young women then she ran off, lucky for him she is in his class.

I enjoyed this story from start to finish. Everette started out to seem like a handsome playboy, but turned out to be a wonderful gentleman, taking his time and understanding with Jessica. This was a great read that will put a smile on your face.

A fun and sweet read of the shy girl getting the hot alpha male. Jessica is quirky, shy and a bit awkward at times, but it endearing especially after she goes out of her comfort zone on a dare to kiss the attractive Everett. Everett is Jessica's opposite, as he is outgoing, and a bit more outspoken. Case in point, he marks his territory with Jessica in front of her friends. An altogether enjoyable read in the series. Looking forward to more.

Read it on lunch break, it's a funny and sweet insta-love story.
Standalone with no cliffhangers.
Jessica grew up with very protective home, so now she is a freshman in college and has never been kissed. Then her friends Dare her, and it changes her life.
Everett is a Hot and sweet alpha male willing to wait as long as it takes for Jessica.
Loved the epilogues.

Dare by Isla Chiu was another quick and steamy OTT romances sure to please. Jessica and Everett were simply amazing together. A simple dare turned Jessica's world upside down when she kisses a total stranger and he kisses back! One kiss was all it took for Everett to know that Jessica was the one for him and he was determined to prove to her that they belonged together. Its the first in the Alpha Male U Series and I am anxious to read more.

Oh my, under an hour read but 5 star worthy. A game of Truth or Dare that leads to a happily ever after.
Jessica and her friends attend their first college party. The concensus? It is LAME. So a game of truth or dare ensues. But the game starts and stops with Jessica because when she was about to chicken out of her double dare she is bumped from behind crashing her lips down on the hottest man alive. Embarrassment sends her running out the door.
Early to her first class tbe object of her Embarrassment takes a seat next to her.
Make out sessions and four months of cold shower later they are in love and inseperable. Years later they graduated and are beginning their happily ever after

Jessica is starting her first year of college with a very extroverted roommate and a gay best friend. They drag her to a college party which turns out to be a deadly bore. She and her friends start a game of truth and dare which forces her to reveal that she has never been kissed before. Her friends then dare her to kiss the hunky guy over in the corner. Jessica goes over to talk to the sexy man and get her courage up to kiss him. However she is about to chicken out when she gets pushed in the guy's arms. She is finally brave enough to kiss him but runs away.

Everett is the sexy guy she kissed and he won't let her run away again. In Calculus class the next day, he sits next to Jessica. Jessica is freaking out about calculus but he agrees to help her if she wants. This is the start to a beautiful relationship.

Just as she is ready to chicken out, a well-placed bump from behind shoves her in the perfect position for their lips to meet, he pulls her close, and she finds herself relaxing into the moment. And all those wonderful things she had heard about were absolutely true as he curled her toes! As soon as her legs will carry her, she turns and runs red-faced out of the room.

When classes start, Jessica knows she is going to be humiliated by the others. She gets to class early and takes her seat, just as her kissing partner, Everett, walks in and sits next to her! Will she run again? Or will he want to continue her lessons until they can find their own HEA?

The premise of this book was so promising. I love books about introverted girls who are brought out of their shell by a hot guy., I. just think this book ultimately wasn't for me. I couldn't get engaged in the story. I get that Jessica had a sheltered life. But she was just so meek and jumpy that I just couldn't handle her after the first maybe third of the book.

But overall the story had promise. Like I said, I just don't think it was for me. Maybe it was the writing style, maybe it was the characters, maybe it was the flow of the book. But give it a chance. You might like it.

Jessica is a very shy girl and with her roommate Madison and Jason they play Truth or Dare. It is a short sweet story. Jessica has to go first and she says TRUTH. Well she is asked about her first Kiss. (Never had) Madison tells her she has to kiss a guy across the room. Jessica walks over and before she can ask for a kiss she gets pushed into Abercrombie and boy does he give her a great kiss. Fun story of Everett and Jessica's beginning and discoveries. I loved Everett as he was so sincere and treated Jessica like a queen instead of making fun of her inexperience. The HEA is awesome. Jessica has just started college and is discovering that she’s not as experienced as her friends Madison and Jason. At a party they dare her to give her first kiss ever to a stranger which she does by accident when she’s pushed into him… and then runs away. They meet again in class where he can finally introduce himself to her. Everett has made up his mind that he wants Jessica, and from that moment on treats her kindly and respectfully, being mindful of her inexperience. Recommended for readers who like short steamy stories with sweet and decent characters.

Our heroine is trying to fulfill a dare, but our hero is not satisfied with just a kiss. Guess she is going to go above and beyond the requirements of the dare.

This is a short erotic romance with an alpha male theme. The story is well written and easy to read with a small but effective cast. The story moves along at a good pace with plenty of steam along the way. The plot is not complicated, but it is fun nonetheless and leads to a nice tidy conclusion. Overall, it made for a pleasant evening read.

Highly recommended.

Dare is a short and steamy OTT, instalove, opposites-attract, and college romance. Jessica is a sweet, shy, and awkward, virgin, and college freshman. Everett is a rich and hunky student. When playing truth or dare with her friends at a party, they find she has never been kissed. They dare her to kiss Everett. She does and runs out. They cross paths the next week in Calculus class, and Everett is all about the shy beauty. This couple had amazing chemistry, and we got a very happy ending. This really was a sweet and steamy short. I loved the epilogue at the end.

This is the story of Jessica who has never been kissed so on a dare she is to go kiss a guy as she is walking over she is about to turn and run away but someone pushes her and she lands in his arms and he kisses her. She runs away embarrassed then next day he is next to her in class and offers to help her. Isla Chiu writes a great story. This is wonderful and entertaining and I love the characters. This is the start to a new series so I will be waiting for more books.

This book is a super short and quick read. It is about Jessica, who was given a Dare the evening before her first college class to kiss a random guy at a party. Everett is a smart, rich college student who happens to be the one Jessica kisses out of the blue at the party. This book has some hot and steamy scenes. It is an insta love story with a lovely HEA. Jessica is so adorably awkward that I smiled through the whole story. Everett is an alpha male for sure. Jessica is dared to kiss Everett but after one kiss he wants so much more. He knows what he wants and he pursues it (or her). He’s very patient with her though and doesn’t push her farther than she is ready. Their journey is super hot and has a terrific ending.

I enjoyed reading Dare. This is a very enjoyable short story. The characters are enjoyable and I enjoy the chemistry between them. I don’t want to spoil any part of the story, so I won’t give details. Please read the book blurb for some information. I recommend reading this story. I like to read these in between the longer books I tend to read.

A cute, college romance about Jessica, a student of Chinese descent who has just enrolled into college to study Environment Science. She is befriended by two new college friends and when they find out she has never been kissed before, they dare her to kiss Computer Science student, Barrett with surprising results.
This inter-racial story was incredibly short but it still felt like a well written, complete read. The characters were likeable and it was an enjoyable book.
