A 3.5 stars read.

As you know by now, I read almost everything Dale Mayer wrote, so I'm super excited with this new series and it's a paranormal suspense series, oh yesss I'm ecstatic.

This about Terk's team, if you follow many Dale Mayer series, Terk is a familiar name, his name and psychic abilities always mentioned here and there. This new series is about Terk's team and his team is in deep trouble. With the bulk of his team down, Terk tries to establish a new base, while struggling to heal the team through the special connection each has. The first book of a series always like a long prologue for me with the introductions, the scope of the story, the reason why and the goal of the series, so there are so many repetitions and some parts kinda confusing, but once I get to passed it, I really enjoyed it, especially the action, the energy works and all the psychic stuff.

As for characters, Dale Mayer always wrote loveable characters and this one is not an exception. I already love Terk from the other series and even though this book is about Damon and Tasha, I think Terk still took the center stage. Still love Damon and Tasha though, love their banter it's cute and sweet.

Good fast-paced paranormal suspense story with loveable characters, yup I like it.

Fantastic!

Right away there is danger, suspense and attempted murder! I love how this series gets started!

Terk has a special team. Special in the way that they all have extra abilities, each one unique. They have all been targeted and most are out of commission. Terk has found Damon who is injured, but has half of his abilities still intact. Damon looked up on one of the admins of the group, Tasha, and found her hiding in an apartment near her own. She was attacked and nearly murdered in her sleep.

Together, the threesome are wondering who is behind this severe attack on Terk’s team. They need to find out details and do it quickly before anyone else is hurt. I enjoy the intricate workings of Terk’s mind. He can do things that are spooky cool and he knows things that a normal person would never consider. Damon knows things and can “feel” things as well, advantages to have when someone is trying to kill you.

This new series is dealing with secret governments, teams with unique abilities and murder. I love it! Just when you think you have it figured out, someone else gets hit and the clues disappear and you have to start all over again. Then there is the connection between Damon and Tasha. Theirs is a tension that needs to be resolved. Sexual chemistry is becoming more noticeable and a distraction. This story is a fantastic lead in. I am excited to see what else this author has in store for us with these mind games and mayhem!

I have been waiting for Terk’s story for what seems like ages. He has special abilities and along with seven other good men he helped defend the world of bad people. Although when his team was disbanded, someone tried to kill them all. With only half strength and abilities it’s time to protect his men that are injured and help the rest that can’t help themselves. I really enjoyed this story. I couldn’t wait to start it. This one is Damon’s story with the hacker who helped them, Tasha. This book was full of intrigues, suspense and everything you would expect from a Dale Mayer book. I can’t wait to read the rest as each book comes out and especially Terk’s Story.

The opening chapter of this book is hair-raising as we learn Terkel's team has been, I'm going to say attacked, after being disbanded. Most of their abilities are gone or compromised with the exception of Terkel. He has another problem as well and that is approaching Ice and Levi's compound where his twin brother Merk resides and works.

Damon is the only team member with Terkel at this time, he feels something but has some of his ability. Now they are trying to locate the rest of their team.

Terk appears not to have been affected because he was doing what he calls maintenance. Now the task is to locate everyone. Tasha is the first of the team Damon goes to find. She's one of their Admin IT specialists. What he finds at her apartment scares him, but as he's updating Terk she pokes her head out of the apartment across the way.

Talking to Tasha and realizing it wasn't just the Team that has been affected, they call the other admins. The first, Mera is with a friend but was wounded, she wants nothing to do with anyone. Their other admin, a newcomer to the team Wilson was yet another story.

Terk, Damon and Tasha work on getting set up in a warehouse, one that's not as secure as they'd like but would have to do.

What happened at Legendary Security with Cecilia is revealed. Ice and Levi have things under control there and they will assist with getting communications set up.

There is so much that happens in this book, as Damon reveals his attraction to Tasha. That's something he has been hiding for years as has she. I truly loved the reaction to Merk when he shows up to help. 

I couldn't stop reading this book, every page brings new challenges and opposition as they work to locate the rest of the team. 

I can't wait for the next book in this series.

Damon & Tasha get it right In This Paranormal Suspense.

Coworkers Damon & Tasha have been circling around each other for a while but finally confront their attraction for each other in Damon's Deal.

This was an ok read, but I felt like I was missing something. A team of US Government psychic special ops gets suddenly disbanded & apparently disavowed. The book opens with team leader Terk dealing with the aftermath of a attack on his team on their last day. Most of his team have been attacked remotely, stealing their abilities. Several are in comas. They're three office crew members, the computer team, were attacked. (I'd have liked to know more about that whole attack, but it took place before the story opened .) Terk, Damon, & Tasha are trying to figure out who is behind it.

Damon is one of the crew who evaded complete wipe out. He's down to about 50% of his normal abilities -- whatever those are. They're not really explained. Tasha is the computer tech genius, the only one of three to make it through the purge night alive. Damon & Tasha have been attracted to each other but forced to keep things professional, I assume due to a non-fraternization clause that now doesn't matter, now that they're all no longer part of a sanctioned op.

I was intrigued enough by Terk's subplot that I'll probably continue reading the series, but Mayer's style of telling the bulk of the story through dialogue makes things hard to follow. I know it says that this is book one. It read like I missed some of the story in maybe a prequel? Perhaps there's more info to come in future entries.

Bottom line opinion. There is tons of action, for sure, but a key scene takes place off book & it's light on the romance.

Dale Mayer has done it again! She has created a fantastic new series that will mesmerize her readers.

The main characters are still “drop-ops SEALs.” However, they have special psychic skills and senses that give them strong adversaries as they attempt to crush the “bad guys.” This team has worked for the U.S. government for ten years.

Dale Mayer hooks readers on the first page. The book opens when Terk sends a woman to seek help from Ice and Levi. Since Terk’s twin, Merk, works for them, he knows they will be able to secretly help her.

Unfortunately, members of Terkel’s team find themselves in a serious situation. First of all, the U.S. government has shut them down. Also, worse than that, somehow, every team member has discovered that most, if not all, of their super-senses, have disappeared. Plus, several of the men are in long-term comas. As if that is not enough, someone has attempted to kill all three of their computer specialists and hackers. Tasha is the only computer specialist who survived that nighttime attack.

Now, the only team members are able to fight for their lives are Terk, Damon and Tasha. Their main goal is to discover who is attacking them before they are all murdered. Unfortunately, this is difficult with three people who no longer have all of their special abilities. Therefore, Terk asks Levi if he will loan Merk’s service to help his team stay alive as they search for the culprits.

This story is action-packed and exciting as readers follow Terkel and his team as they fight hard to stay alive and to permanently eliminate their enemies.

This is the first book in a new series Terkel’s Team by Dale Mayer. A lot of the book was spent giving background on the team and the problem they are facing. Each of the members of Terk’s team has special abilities. They can communicate telepathically, they can set up barriers to provide protection, and they can use their ability to kill the bad guys. In the past they have met teams with the special abilities, but they never met a team as good as they were. Now they are under attack by such a team, and they need to stop it. Terk the team leader is trying to protect all their team members that were hit by the attack. As the book starts, the only other team member that can work with Terk is Damon who is not at 100%. The support team, who run computer searches and tracking, were also under attack. Two of the three of the team were killed, only Tasha is still alive. Damon has always kept away from Tasha because everyone he was close to died. Now he will do everything he can to protect Tasha, including telling how he feels. Of course, this book wouldn’t be good if there wasn’t a romance between Damon and Tasha. Terk needs more help so he calls his twin Merk, the only person he can trust. Merk who works for Legendary Security can pull in his team members from Legendary Security as needed. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to learn more about the team’s special abilities and find the source of the attack.

Another winner series for Dale Mayer, "Terkel's Team" is about a team of black ops navy SEALs who have each been chosen for their psychic abilities.
The government have closed the unit down but more worryingly the team have had their psyche infiltrated and their special skills impaired, all except Terk and Damon Wilcox who had managed to evade the perpetrators. Somewhere there was a team with similar skills to their own and that put Terk and Damon's life in danger.
Tasha had worked with the team before and they now desperately needed her computer and hacking skills to find who was trying to wipe them out, was it an inside job, had someone gone rogue?, was it Iran or even their own government ? Where did the pregnant woman fit in ?
Help came in the shape of Terk's twin brother, Merk. Merk was part of Ice and Levi's special ops team, Terk and him were identical but Merk didn't have Terk's psychic skills.
Damon and Tasha had a history of sorts, they had always been attracted to one another but Damon had fought hard to keep it on a professional level and keeping Tasha at arms length......was that about to change ?
Another great story from Dale Mayer, it is action packed, and filled with suspense, a team with psychic powers that can communicate by telepathy is awesome, I can't wait for the next book in the series

A great start to a new series with Terk’s team being hunted and put out of commission. Terk, we’ve met many times, the brother of Merk, and a special ops soldier…and special his team is, diving right into their extra sensory capabilities. Terk’s team has been targeted, by who, we don’t know and his whole team is in danger and not just his men with the special abilities, his whole team including Tasha, their hacker and IT support. She’s been with Terk for a few years and has had feelings for one of his men, Damon, but he’s always kept her at a distance and it hurt. Now with her life on the line, surviving an assassin attempt she needs to rely on Damon to keep her safe as the two with Terk set up shop and start their hunt…but can Damon convince her that he has wanted her all this time to.
A great read with suspense, psychic abilities, some steam and great characters. Tasha was not a pushover, she stood her ground and had a backbone. Damon finally comes clean with his feelings as well and isn’t shy about it and stops playing…he’s all in. Levi and Ice make an appearance and Merk as well, and I enjoyed everyone coming together to help one of their own. There were some twists and turns and no answers as to who is after them, but that’s what the next few books are about and I can’t wait.

Damon Wilcox is on Terkel’s “Terk” team. They’ve just been attacked and taken out…mentally. The team consists of special operators, special as in skills and weapons that are in their minds. Terk is at full strength but trying to help the others. Damon is only at half, but he’s more than just his mental skills…he’s a warrior.
Tasha Millwork has been working with the team for about four years. Forty-eight hours ago, right after the government disbanded the team, someone tried to kill her in her bed. Not sure who to trust, she goes with Damon when he comes for her. Now, she’s on a team with Terk and Damon, hoping to find out who’s behind this. She’s a whiz with the computers but doesn’t have the special skills of the eight guys on Terkel’s team.
This is a series that is continued. Damon and Tasha’s romance is complete in this book, but the story continues to find out who is behind the attack and if the other team members can recover. Looking forward to the next story.

Terkel's team has been affected by a betrayal from within which has meant that they fell one by one within a short space of time. Can he get closer to the persons behind the murderous plot and find out who has used the very skills that his team used on themselves? There will be lots of drama, danger, betrayal and even psychic skills as the fight to put the team back together starts while investigating the source in parallel. Damon is one of the team and he has always wanted Tasha but he firmly kept everything professional between them. Maybe now is the right time to correct that?

I really enjoyed this story which has a great combination of the drama and danger of a special ops type book with the addition of psychic skills. The mystery as to who was targeting the team merged into the team dynamics, their allies and the relationship between Damon and Tasha was really enjoyable. Easy to read, understand and feel their thought processes and emotions. Contains some sexual content at the end.

Great start to another team's adventures. Terk's team worked for the government. His people used their special powers to accomplish much needed tasks. However the government has closed this black op department and now the members of this team are being attacked physically and are losing their powers as well. Also someone has sent a woman, who Terk doesn't know, to Levi and Ice's compound. This woman is wearing a C-4 vest and apparently pregnant with Terk's baby. Merk, who works for Levi, is Terk's identical twin except for the special powers. Merk joins in the quest to keep his brother and his team safe. He also wants to find who is responsible for the attack on his brother's team. An intriguing story which captivated my attention. The epilogue talks of this story continuing and I'm ready for more of this new adventure with these very interesting characters who are quite likeable as well.

Terk is worried about his team when Damon shows up he has half of his psychic abilities. He's still trying to get them back but doesn't know if he ever will .He asks Terk,about the team when Terk,tells him that they are in bad shape. He says two are in a coma but seam to be trying to fight back he says one is in a coma but he feels him getting stronger but two he feels are on life support an their life link is weak.They don't know who's after them.They don't know if its their own government or if its Iran .When Terk says they need the computer staff Damon asks if he thinks they are alright. Damon says he'll go check on Tasha.Is Tasha and the other two alive? Have they been eliminated? There are so many twists an turns you will be riveted until the very last page an leave you begging for more. I love the chemistry between Damon and Tasha its sizzling hot.Will Damon finally show Tasha how he feels? Will they find out who's after their team?

What a kick off to a new series! I love all the different elements being combined in this, energy, physcic minds, plus the usual alpha male full protection aspect. It's a whole mix of various styles used in other series put together, lots of excitement and suspense, along with the who-dunit? As Terk and Tasha along with a recovering Damon try to pull together and figure out just who is behind attacking the whole team including the admin/tech people. It's a fast paced read and I would have read it much faster if I had been left alone to bury myself in it. It stretches my mind to possibilities and the endless things that could happen and to be able to do, from healing, telepathy to protective shields and bubbles just as example. As soon as their psychic black ops team was disbanded, their team was attacked. Terkel isn't sure who is behind it. Damon is able to retrieve their admin Tasha who has great hacking and research skills. With Tasha's help, Damon will try to trace back the attack while Terkel tries to keep the team safe. This is a terrific start to a new connected series that intertwines a mystery, psychic abilities, suspense, and a romance. Adding to the suspense in the story, Damon has to cope with not having his full psychic abilities. I love that Tasha is hesitate to trust Damon when he ready to show her how he feels about her. I also love that even though we have resolution in this story, there is more to the overall mystery of the series waiting to be solved.

Terk and his team have been attacked both physically and mentally, with only Damon still partially functional but still needing to recover they track down their three admins with only Tasha able to regroup with them. This is a hard and fast learning curve for Tasha with being on the run, not having a full team then the bad guys nipping at their heals and having to see Damon again and learning so much more about what the team she work with for the past few years are or were capable of. This has the perfect mix of action, attraction, second chances as well as devastation, danger along with a few good laughs, old faces and betrayal you don't see coming leaving you needing to read the next book and find out what happens next and hopefully learn more about who is behind everything!

This book will have you on the edge of your seat from the very beginning. There is an attack, murders, attempted murder, with danger at every turn. Terkel's Team has been attacked and most of the team is in bad shape. Terkel and Damon are trying to keep everyone safe. When they decide to check up on their support staff they discover the support staff has been attacked as well. Damon has an attraction with Tasha but he fears the worst when he goes to check on her and discovers there was an attack at her home. Was it their own government or a foreign government. Shutting them down and disbanding the team wasn't enough, now someone is after them all. Will they be able to keep everyone safe or will they end up loosing some of their team? I love this book, original story with amazing characters. This is a must read

(4.5) Great start to a new series. Special OPs with special abilities. They are being disbanded and attacked. All their abilities are being shut down. Damon is only at half capacity and Terkel is trying to hold onto everyone and keep them alive and protected while they search out what is going down, who is trying to destroy them. Ice team is involved , and its Merck his twin brother who comes out to assist. The real stand out in all of this is Tasha. Holding it together, using her knowledge and training and telling the guys how it is. Loved this new start as we go down the rabbit hole, is Cecila a victim or a participant? Is it Iran or their own government? And the betrayal of a family member is heart wrenching. Thank you for the arc! I freely volunteer my thoughts and opinions.

Terk and his team find themselves in a dire situation when they are attacked and the special skills that each member possesses has been compromised. When he and Damon are reunited their search for the other members leads them to Tasha.

Tasha’s IT skills are second to none and she is determined to search for answers despite the jeopardy it places her in. As the chemistry between her and Damon escalates so does the danger but in their weakened position will they be able to find the answers they need?

I enjoyed seeing Damon and Tasha finally acknowledge the feelings they have for each other, and it was great to catch up Terk’s brother Merk who we know from other books by this author.

This is the start of another multi-book interconnected series in which we get a piece of the mystery in each book along with a HEA for one of the team members. In this series, the members of Terkel's team all have special abilities that either get wiped out or severely diminished. As Damon and Terkel begin to unravel what has happened, more people turn up dead and a lot more questions come up. Tasha was one of the admins for the team and for year her and Damon have had an attraction to each other but never acted on it. The story is full of suspense, mystery, betrayal, and so much more. I'm so looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series.

Damon’s Deal is the first book in Terkel’s Team series by Dale Mayer. Terkel is the brother of Merk who readers of Dale Mayer’s series Heroes for Hire have been given mentions of now and then. Terkel was always giving warnings of an event about to happen. This new series gives an up close and personal view of Terkel and his team. In this book we learn about Damon and Tasha. Tasha is a computer hacker getting info to the team. Great story. Finished this book in one sitting. It was not only an interesting story but one that had me completely absorbed. Looking forward to finding out about Wade and Sophia in the next book, Wade’s War.

Terk is fantastic on his own but with his team he is out of this world. Unfortunately some of his team are in Comas, some are dead and some have very little of their abilities working.
Tasha is great at what she does and set to work to find the people responsible for what has happened to the team. I always wondered about Terk from previous books mentioning warnings he has sent. Damon and Tasha need to deal with their lack of understanding of how they feel about each other. It all comes to a head and brings this book to a close. Ready for the next book.

Taut tension, exciting thrills, adrenaline pumping action, intense emotion and keep you guessing suspense are skillfully woven into this edge of your seat, heartbeat raising, breath stealing read. Add in a terrific romance, likable characters and great chemistry and you have a book that delivers plenty of feels along with some solid swoon and I was definitely in my happy place. What a way to start this series.
1. Introduce to the mystery of what happened to the team?
2. Who is left?
3. Who can they trust?
4. Learning to believe in things that are not normal.
Introducing Damon. Damon and Terk are the ones left standing or so they think. When Damon checks on Tash they realise that not only their team was hurt but all parts including the admin part. Finding Tash they start to put the puzzle together and maybe a relationship for a future together? A nice pace story and kept me turning the pages.

Damon and Terk are the only members of their special team standing at the moment . Each member has different special abilities . They were attacked by another unknown source . They are working together to find and stop them before they finish the job on the other team members . Damon heads to Sasha one of the three computer specialists on their team . If finds her scared and hiding because of the assassination attempt on her . The three set up to stop the threat and get answers . Damon has kept his feelings for Sasha locked down far to long . During all that's happening it's time to release them . This story is outstanding and full of suspense and intrigue . I couldn't put it down . I highly recommend taking the time to read

This book gives an overview of events and introduces us to some of the new characters as well as some fan favorites. Damon and Tasha are working to help get answers. What follows is an action packed suspense filled plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat. Add a dash of romance and you're hooked. This one has aspects from other series we've come to love from Dale Mayer and the combination is intriguing. I can't wait for the next one.

What a great read and wonderful start to Terkel's Team series with characters who are dark ops SEALs and have special senses and skills needed to solve intrigue, betrayal and murder. I was blown away with the undeniable attraction and chemistry between Damon Wilcox and hacker Tasha Wilson and loved their interaction with the other characters in this can't put down suspenseful drama.
