At a fateful New Year’s Eve party, Georgina Maverick, a little bit drunk, a lot mired in guilt from her tortured past, trips and falls off a rooftop, tumbling ten stories to her almost death.
Little does George know, her friend and co-worker, Dexter Bridger, the man she discovers also happens to be her guardian angel, is on the case. He saves her from landing toe up in the mortuary, but he opens an entire can of worms when he nicks her shoulder and turns George into an angel, too.
With the help of the OOPS ladies and some divine intervention from Dex, George is learning how to be a guardian angel in the hope she can earn her permanent wings. But it ain’t easy when your newbie wings are strap-on (you read that right), and your angelic glow nearly fries the eyeballs right out of the head of your new cranky, vampire friend.
But worse? All the secrets that haunt both George and Dex are coming home to roost.
For instance, how did Dex become a guardian angel anyway, and why doesn’t he have his permanent wings after all this time? And for the love of all that’s good looking, why is he so stupid cute? How can a girl focus on getting it together with that kind of distraction?
Yet for George, the questions cut far deeper. Why is it so hard to overcome her brutal past and find the thing she’s always wanted—peace of mind and acceptance? And how the heck is she supposed to be someone’s guardian angel and guide them to emotional safety when her own life is such a wreck?
Worst of all? Who’s been lurking in the shadows trying to steal George’s wings? Because if someone gets their hands on her wings, guess what?

Dakota lives in the gorgeous state of Oregon with her real life hero and her dogs, and she loves hearing from readers!
Loved it was fun and flirty and had a great cast of characters. Although the story has some serious undertones to it in parts, Nina and her potty mouth livened things up as usual. Love how all these women of OOPS work so well together, each learning something from the current story, and we loved seeing Nina take a gentler approach with George yet still being Nina in the same breath. Loved Dex and George as a couple, so cute together. We have to say we really are loving this accidental series, Dakota never fails to make us laugh with her quirky characters. Definitely one of our favorite authors and always looking forward to her latest releases.
I love this series but this was not my favorite. Too much ‘warmed her to her core’ and Seemed to ramble at times. I really didn’t care for the narrator version on Nina. Found it grating. Love the OOPS ladies, but this story was a big oops overall for me.
Accidentally Divine is the delightful 20th addition to the series. This is a sweet story with a dark twist. The good guys are really good and the bad guys are totally evil. Then there’s Nina. I love how adorable George and Dex are. Sweet but not saccharine. Titus tickled my funny bone. This story is filled with moments that will make you say awww. Totally enjoyable.
When George has an accident at a party her guardian angel Dex literally swoops in to save her and accidentally nicks her with his wings. Now they need the OOPS girls to help with this accidental turn. George is trying to figure out how to get past her insecurities to become the best guardian angel she could be when someone try’s to steal her wings. Can the OOPS girls and Dex keep George and her wings safe? Will George be her best guardian angel?
I have read all the accidental books, and the OOPs women never fail in helping those who find themselves in a supernatural bind. In this installment, George Maverick has become a guardian angel- albeit with a few glitches in her transformation. To top it off, there is now a demon trying to steal her temporary wings. The OOPs women step in to help George come to terms with her new duties, which invariable allow her to heal and let go of some hardships from her earlier life. While the women are as unfailing as ever, the hidden secrets engaging, and the outcome satisfactory, this book took a long time to grab my interest...surprisingly. I was 25% in before things really picked up. I felt this exposition was far too long. My other concern is that the women are almost becoming too sugary and motherly as they involve themselves in the various stories. A hair is never out of place, they always say the right thing- even when swearing, as Nina does prolifically- and they never seem to meet an old person, animal, or turned supernatural they dislike. They are starting to seem too good to be true. Still, the book delivers as expected.
I'm sorry to say, but I didn't enjoy this one very much. The story itself wasn't bad, but the romance seemed forced just for the sake of the ending. At no point did the two leads have anything romantic happen between them. Their inner monologues tell us that they like each other, but they never really say it out loud until the final chapter. Then, all of a sudden, they're kissing, willing to die for each other, and in love.
Oh, and Nina. Normally, I love her character (This is the 21st book I've read), but she was just so grating this time. It was as if every chapter tried to one-up itself as to how many times it could drop the f-bomb. Also, Marty and Wanda just came off as wimps this time out.
Because I've read all of the original series and most of this spin-off, I'm not giving up, but I sure hope the next book is better.
Accidentally Divine book 20 of the Accidental Series was a complete page turner. Our hero, Dexter Bridger, and heroine, Georgina Maverick, are brought to life on the pages with real life hard-hitting problems and issues. They have both experienced past traumas that have shaped the people/angels they have become.
The OOPs ladies, Nina, Marty, Wanda, and crew play a crucial role just by being who they are as a family. They pull together and rally around another accidental turning and make some great friends along the way.
This was a fun and heartfelt story that had me laughing and crying. Don’t miss out on Dexter and Georgina’s journey. I will be looking forward to seeing how Dakota Cassidy uses her angels in future books.
I love this crazy series. Dakota kudos, this one was great. Writing this story of abuse and trauma a dark topic, but turning it into hope and love much needed in the current world. Thank you and keeping writing I love the brassy vampire lady with a huge golden heart as well as all the other ladies and gentlemen of OOPS.
Wow, book 20 and I am still wanting more. Love this series, the characters never get old and the hijinx keep me laughing and cheering them on. This book especially touched my soul because it has a very important message to all of us. For that and so much more, I wish to thank Dakota Cassidy for taking us on this wonderfully journey.
One of my favorite series. This book with all it's intertwined humor touched on very serious subjects. It has a very good flow, one minute you're smiling and the next it makes your eyes water. Still, a HEA. Can hardly wait for the next book in the series.
I really love all Dakota's books, but this one was really heartfelt. I cried and laughed and it was hard at the end but I pushed through. She does a great job of showing how her ladies can dig themselves out of a bad situation and become heroines in their own right. Definitely recommend this book for anyone needing a boost to go for their own crown.
I loved this book as much as I love the series. Dakota seems to be moving towards a more found family oriented storyline for the series which is a refreshing change. I do miss some of the romance that comes along with these books, but I also like Nina's character better than that element so I'm still satisfied.
This is a terrific, laugh-out-loud, entertaining story that I couldn’t put down. The characters are a bit zany, but endearing and intriguing; the storyline is captivating. There is something for everyone to enjoy from humor, a bit of mystery and so much more. Definitely a book worth reading.
I love all of Dakota's books but this series is my favourite and this one was so good. I couldn't stop reading it. It is definitely in the top ten of this series.
I love Dakotas writing and the OOPS ladies are the best. I'm always sad when I read the last line because I know I have to wait until she writes a new book.
This was a quirky little story about an accidental angel. It was amusing and brought back a few characters from previous Dakota Cassidy books. I always enjoy the Dakota Cassidy book and this was no exception. Treat yourself.
This series is one of my FAVORITES of all time! None of them disappoint. In fact, every one exceeds expectations, including this one. I loved watching the main characters grow. She found a backbone! He let go of his past! Such a great read.
This is a really sweet funny positive story that hits a lot of important topics in a way that didn't feel pushy. As an animal lover it hit a lot of happy high notes for me.
Great storyline which involved a cause near and dearto my heart ..rescue animals. Love snarky Nina and her cohorts as they help "Wings" earn her .. well.. wings!
Another great book from Dakota Cassidy. I just love this story because it has everything good guys, bad guys truly evil and what can I say Nina rounds out the bunch. Amazing story and characters. I received this as an Arc for an unbiased honest review.
Wow another hit by Dakota.. love all the series the best. In this one the girls r back to help but different. Dex has to help her first and she has to learn to trust and believe I herself. Great book.. 😇
This one had a slow start, but once the extended gang from OOPS got involved all manner of hijinks ensued. Nina was in rare form, earning herself a new nickname.
This book has a new reader. And she gave the characters different voices. Maybe if I wasn't reading them back-to-back. It wouldn't be as noticeable, but it kind of throws you for a loop when you hear a different voice for a character that you've already pictured in your head as one way.
Was a rollercoaster ride . Seeing the women of opps growing together finding their stride . Arch is awesome as always. Carl finding himself. Great book
