When Petra Baron entered the fortuneteller’s tent at her school’s Renaissance fair, she expected to come out with a date to the prom. Instead, Petra got the shock of her life when she walked out into Elizabethan England. Here, she meets a demon dog, a couple of gypsies, and a kindred spirit named Emory Ravenswood.
Emory must thwart the plans of religious zealots. Although Emory is on Heaven’s errand, he learned long ago that Heaven does not always play fair. His mission is dangerous, his enemies are fanatical, and Petra Baron is a complication that - Heaven knows - he does not need. Or does he?
As Petra slowly falls for Emory, she wonders if he really is who he seems, or if he is just as lost as she is. How can they have a future while trapped in the past? Throughout their journey, they both begin to wonder Time and Again what is truly possible?

Tate pens a grand story in Time and Again. I have read work from this author before, and I really enjoyed it. I like Tate's writing style, and how the author can write different genres and place her characters in settings that just fit. It is more that way in this story, as fate, and time travel, mixed with faith, and belief that good and bad, can coexist together. This author has a great imagination and I'm glad it's being shared with stories. This author is not just a writer but a great storyteller. It's a great story to follow and try to figure out what will happen next. This author's characters develop and interacts well with the other characters. Time and Again is a definite recommendation by Amy's Bookshelf Reviews. I look forward to reading many more stories by this author.
Wow! What an ending! This was such a great time travel book. I loved going back to the 1600s, and everyone not knowing what Petra meant with her 21st century speech, it made for some hilarious dialogue. Even knowing that this was a time travel book, there were times when I was totally with Petra, thinking that it was all a dream, especially with the twist at the end! I loved her little sister and the dynamic they had. I also greatly enjoyed a lot of the side characters like Anne and Garret. This book can be read as a standalone, but it does hint at a continued storyline in the next book, which I hope to someday read.
