I don't like compilation albums very much I would much rather hear Fred Bloggs five studio albums rather than The Best of Freed Bloggs, so maybe I would find the original collections more engaging, or maybe I just didn't identify with Adamson, or maybe they were not that great.
I tend to think it is a combination of one and two.
Give me an 80 page original collection where they fit together and act as a work rather than bits and pieces selected from hither and thither, and also maybe I wasn't in the right head space fro them too truly affect me as they otherwise might.
I will revisit Adamson, but I am thinking of aiming for a "studio album" piece rather than a "greatest hits"

And how was this not on Goodreads anyway? I had to add it, such a travesty! Well hit was a bit of a surprise anyway.
