Books 10-12 in the Apple Orchard Cozy Mystery Series from USA Today Bestselling Author Chelsea Thomas.
Murders are a nuisance.
They get in the way of all the fun of small-town life. Pie-eating contests. Apple picking up at the orchard. Watching kids fly kites out in the field.
Miss May loves justice. So killers always get caught in Pine Grove. And when May teams up with her niece, Chelsea, there's nothing that can stop them.
Except for maybe a snack.
Add May's zany friend, Teeny, and you have three of the funniest ladies out there solving mysteries together.
When they talk it's like I Love Lucy and The Honeymooners are rolled up into one, plus just a little bit of murder and intrigue to keep the pages turning.
It's almost like they turn themselves.
You'll follow every twist and turn with rapt attention. And your mouth will water at all the delicious food in these books. Lucky for you, in this box set, there's always a new story waiting just around the corner.
You'll love this box set because everyone loves fun cozies with lots of laughs.

A woman her aunt and her aunt's best friend solve murders. And it's almost as interesting as it sounds. Lots of running around looking for clues trying to fool the police and talking over food.
Pretty much the most boring cozy mystery I have ever read.
I tried one of her stories then I got hooked. Usually I would read in order but this I am reading when I see them. Miss May and her team give you some good ones to solve along with them. They will have no trouble having you turning those pages. You best make sure though you have eaten before you read this or you might find it hard to put it down to take care of the cravings this might give. This being a box set you three all at one time so no need to stop. Delighted with these mysteries that is for sure.
This is the fourth boxset in the Apple Orchard Cozy Mystery series and includes books 10 – 12, The Smoking Bun; Dropping Like Pies; and No Cone Unturned. Three friends, Chelsea Thomas, her aunt and former prosecutor Miss May, and restaurant owner Teeny, help to solve murder cases in the small town of Pine Grove. The police force there, Chief Sunshine who seems to hate the three women’s interference in any case and usually cites all the cases to be accidents or anything other than murder, and her main detective Wayne Hudson who somehow has to do as she tells him, but also likes Chelsea a lot and always manages to be persuaded to let loose some of the clues or evidence in a case, whether he means to or not! There is also a touch of awkward romance with Chelsea and Detective Hudson, as they work together at times, but are restrained by their separate roles and his boss!
Each case always involves some of Miss May’s lovely baking, using the ingredients from the Apple Orchard she owns and runs in her retirement, often offering apple pies or some other baked goodies to any suspects they want to question. They always seem to meet up in Teeny’s restaurant to talk over any case and are treated to Teeny’s latest recipe to test out, or whatever grand dish is the weekly favourite, always with preferred service. The trio always seem to come across dead bodies or even bones, some of them even on their own premises, causing a few unwanted arrests by the useless police force. It is only by their own investigations that any of the murders actually get solved in the small town. They always end up in some sort of danger, with threats of losing their apple orchard and farm, or even their own lives. Food always plays a huge part and some of the food mentioned will make you wishing you could taste it for yourself. I feel sorry for those in Pine Grove, as for a small town they sure do have a lot of murders! But without them, we wouldn’t get to see what this trio get up to and what mistakes the police make on each case. I have bought most of the individual books and I am now making my way through getting the boxsets as well, as I love reading each one! I received an ARC copy of this boxset from BookSprout and I have freely given my own opinion of the boxset above.
Miss May loves justice. So killers always get caught in Pine Grove. And when May teams up with her niece, Chelsea, there's nothing that can stop them. You'll follow every twist and turn with rapt attention. And your mouth will water at all the delicious food in these books. Lucky for you, in this box set, there's always a new story waiting just around the corner. Below is a review of one of the books to give you an idea of what you’ll find in this set. Titles included are:
1. THE SMOKING BUN (#10) 2. DROPPING LIKE PIES (#11) 3. NO CONE UNTURNED (#12)
*** Reviewing “THE SMOKING BUN (#10)” *** Buck is the new chef at Peter's Land and Sea who had the audacity to steal one of Teeny’s recipes! So guess who is found dead in the out-of-order bathroom? Before the clues can become cold, Chelsea, Miss May, and Teeny are on the job once more to track down the killer of the arrogant new thieving chef. Of course their cheering section, the community members who love them and know the case is in good hands, wait expectantly for the capture of the bad guy as the Pine Grove Police Department tries to keep up.
This is such a fun series that never lets the reader down. I start out every book by laughing for 5 minutes at the clever title! The characters are charming, bold, and a delight to see in action as they relentlessly seek justice. Grab your copy and enjoy their pursuit as you try to figure out the clues before the team catches the bad guy! Then go on to the next mystery and do it all over again!
This box set contains books 10, 11, and 12 of the Apple Orchard Mystery series.
10 - Smoking Bun - This is the 10th book in this series and they just keep getting better. In this one, Chelsea and Miss May team up with Teeny to solve yet another murder.
Life in a small town is like living in a fish bowl. Everyone knows everyone else and they all know everybody's business. They are fighting the clock to get this one solved before one of them end up in jail.
11 - Dropping like Pies - Here is another installment in this great series. I love the fact that May and Teeny are always solving murders along with Chelsea, who is the nerd who is always there to help
12 - No Cone Unturned - Pine Grove is a great place to live until the loan shark comes to town. Sadly Miss May and Chelsea find the dead body and they need to bring their A game to get this one solved. This one happened at the local creamery. There is nothing worse than a murder in the ice cream shop! They need to get the murder solved so life can get back to normal

Boring!! I am sorry to say that, but the formula, Ms. Thomas used to write these stories was sticking out all over. I read the previous 9 books and decided the boxed set of 10-12 was a good deal. I couldn’t wait to get them over with.
Granted, there are some fun and funny characters. I hate that the romances never seem to go anywhere, at least change it up a bit. At the last minute they miraculously know who the killer is.
I really disliked were the “asides” Chelsea would use, as though looming into the camera the way it’s done in the movies. It felt like the author tried to go too hard for the laugh. Why was it necessary to know each and EVERY time the Chelsea character got in their truck, the author felt compelled to tell the reader it was blue. Made no sense. How 3 people who eat their way through their mysteries can even fit into the pickup truck I don’t even know. Their world seems to revolve around what they eat, where they eat and what they want to eat next.
These last 3 books did it for me. It will be a long time, if ever, before I give her books another try.
This family-friendly trilogy is perfect for a long weekend.
The Smoking Bun: It all starts with Teeny slamming plates in the kitchen at *Grandma's* and continues at Chelsea Thomas's usual breathless pace. Family-friendly and takes about a day to read.
Dropping Like Pies: Set aside a day for this family-friendly procedural set in October in Pine Grove, New York, and told in the inimitable voice of Chelsea Thomas.
No Cone Unturned: Allow a full day for this family-friendly cozy set in Pine Grove, New York in the month of March with all the laughs Chelsea Thomas usually provides, this time revolving around a predatory lender named Todd.

This boxed set includes the 3 newest Apple Orchard Cozy Mysteries. Each one can be read as a stand-alone book, but reading them in the order of the series allows the reader to follow the adventures of Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny in sequence. As they continue to solve murders in Pine Grove the reader gets caught up in their adventures while also waiting to see how Chelsea's love life progressing. The biggest question being will she and Detective Wayne every go out on a real date. As with previous stories the 3 ladies must also be careful not to bring the wrath of Pine Grove's Police Chief down on them, preventing them from finding the killers they are looking for. This set is a great addition to anyone's library.
The boxed set collects books 10-12 of this cozy mystery series. These are clean cozy mysteries filled with plenty of humor and all the little elements you would expect from this genre. If you like small towns, interesting characters and the occasional witty banter, these should suite you fine.
The stories are well written with easy to follow plots, but that does not mean easy to solve mysteries. There are enough twists and turns during the investigations to keep the reader guessing until the end. The characters are also fun and well developed as is the setting. Overall this collection makes for plenty of relaxing entertainment.
Highly recommended.

As they go about their daily lives in Pine Grove they are on the trail of murderers as amateur sleuths. The Pine Grove PD is lead by the beautiful but very inept Chief Sunshine Flanagan who seems more determined than ever to stop the trio in their tracks. Detective Wayne Hudson is caught unwillingly in Flanagan's sights, as he starts dating Chelsea, Flanagan's jealousy reaches even greater depths.
But the folk of Pine Grove are totally behind the unothodox methods used by their locally bred and raised team.. I mean, who wouldn't love a handbag apple pie to sweeten the deal while being peppered with questions?
Funny and relaxing reading perfect for a holiday..
A marvelous collection of 3 of Chelsea Thomas’ Apple Orchard series! Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny find themselves in the middle of more murder mysteries. In No Cone Unturned, what started out as a romantic evening out for Chelsea and Wayne, her boyfriend and the local detective, goes all wrong when Chelsea discovers a body in the empty building next to the ice cream shop. When it appears Emily, the owner of the ice cream shop, has become the prime suspect, Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny jump right in to find the real killer and clear Emily’s name. With a host of suspects, plenty of laughs and some sweet budding romances, you won’t want to put it down!
I received an ARC copy of this book for an honest review. If you're looking for a boxset of cozy mysteries with murder, mayhem and laughter along the way then this is the boxset for you. I promise you won't be disappointed, these book's have it all, with plenty of plot twists and turns to keep you gripped and guessing who dunnit until the final chapter's. And Teeny is always good for a laugh as she always speaks her mind, which in some case's isn't always a good thing. I'd definitely recommend this boxset if you enjoy a good cozy mystery 💗
Miss May and Chelsea are after more killers in this group of murder mysteries. Detective Wayne, boyfriend of Chelsea, needs all the help he can get. Love the characters of Pine Grove and all their relationships. These two ladies get into some interesting situations and the banter made me laugh a lot throughout the series. The suspense of who-dun-it will keep you on the edge of your seat as the author does a superb job of keeping the mystery alive. Very well done.

A wonderful collection of books from the Apple Orchard Cozy Mystery series. Each story is captivating, smooth flowing and enjoyable. The characters are fun, engaging and delightful to get to know as you turn the pages. You can choose to read just one or read them, but trust me you'll want to read them all and all the previous books if you haven't already.

The girls are at it again. I didn’t know I missed any of the series but turns out I had not read two these. The fun never ends with Chelsea, May & Teeny. Teeny’s malapropisms are at their best in these three books. It’s a wonder they can actually solve crimes with the other activities that pop up. But they manage. Finally Chelsea & Wayne seem to be on the romantic track. I’d you haven’t read this series you won’t be disappointed when you do.
Chelsea, Miss May and Teeny solve puzzling and bizarre crimes and recipe issues . Now if they could only help Chelsea be less clumsy, or have better luck with romance
Small town crazy culinary and community adventures and romance

Aunt May, Teeny and Chelsea and the funniest and most productive sleuths around. You will be amazed by their methods and the situations they keep finding themselves involved. Try the Apple Orchard mysteries and try the recipies you will be delighted you tried both the books and the baked goods. Highly recommend to all cozy mystery lovers.
This is the box set of the series of Apple Orchard. Miss May, Chelsea her niece, and Teeny a close friend go around and find ways to solve murders, which makes the local police department look rather bad. Also, there is a hint of romance between some of the quirky characters. I have read all of these books. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Wonderful wonderful reading! I absolutely adore these books written by one (or2) of my favorite authors. These stories are always filled with crazy murders, funny people and beautiful scenery. I would love to visit some of these towns. Maybe even meet some awesome sleuths!!
These are cute and interesting to figure out. Could have had a higher rating, but the editing is horrible. Misplaced words, extra words and incorrect words. I don't know how books like this get published. Please, Chelsea, get some attentive editors. If you can overlook the editing you can join Miss May, Teeny and Chelsea in solving interesting murders.
A very enjoyable cozy mystery set. Miss May, Chelsea, and Teeny will have you laughing out loud as they investigate all the quirky characters on their list of murder suspects.

I'm totally in love with this series, I love it an apple orchard is the perfect setting for a cozy. Chelsea, her aunt and their best friend are at it again solving murders and doing a much better job then the police go figure. I received this as an ARC and voluntarily choose to reveiw.
Another successful read. I really enjoy reading about Miss Hall, Teeny and Chelsea. These amateur detectives are delightful and are forever getting into trouble
I have read many of the books in this series. They are always a fun read. I hate when a heroine does breaking and entering to find clues, but here it just goes with the stories.
