4 books5 followersMark West was born in Coffs Harbour and spent his early years by the beach, fishing, swimming and writing short stories.
When his family later relocated to Canberra for work, Mark attended school with his older sister, Rebecca. Creative by nature and never particularly suited to the academic side of school, he found his place on the rugby field and often in the role of class clown.
After leaving school, Mark followed his father into carpentry, where his creativity found a practical outlet. Under his father's guidance, he developed a passion for craftsmanship, eventually starting his own building business and becoming a builder. While building remains part of his life today, Mark also works as a part-time carer and has found writing to be another way to channel his creativity.
After starting a family, Mark and his wife moved to the Sunshine Coast, drawn by the beaches, warmer weather and a more relaxed lifestyle. It was here that Mark began dedicating more time to writing, often getting up in the early hours before the rest of the house was awake.
Mark writes thrillers and horror novels, creating stories filled with suspense, twists and unexpected turns. When he's not writing or working, you'll usually find him with his family at the beach or out surfing whenever the waves are right.

Following from the first book, the story spreads its threads, twists and turns, reaching further and further and into new places - just like the zombie virus.
The pace is fast as Jackson continues his battle to survive with a horde of zombies after him.
Great read and looking forward to the next book.

After reading the first book ‘Surviving’ I was thrilled to get my hands on this new one. I loved catching up on old characters, getting to know the new ones and being blind-sided by a few unexpected surprises along the way. This was not an easy book to put down, its fast pace kept you eager to continuing reading. I would definitely recommend this book and will certainly look for other books written by the author.

As I said in my review for Surviving, I don’t usually do zombie books. But after the first book, how could I not read the second???
Another nail-biting book. Awesome attention to detail which left me wanting more. Now I’ve gotta wait for a third book??? Oh man!!!!!!!

I enjoyed Surviving, and Evolving took it to a whole other level. What I thought I knew from book one was completely turned upside and shaken (in a good way). My connection to the characters and their unique personalities had me on an emotional rollercoaster. That meal in the barn... the destruction of one fingernail... the change in Jackson... the return of no one ... all completely unexpected. I just couldn’t put it down. Thanks for another incredibly written novel, Mark West.
