Orphan Harriet Jensen inherits a beautiful manor house and turns it into the successful Windrush Hotel. But her estranged relatives — including the handsome Giles — believe they should have inherited the property. Despite their battles, Harriet and Giles find themselves drawn to each other.

Vania McAllen runs away to England from her stifling life in America. She gets a job in Harriet’s hotel and the two become firm friends. Then, the man she loves tracks her down. But can she trust him or is he only after her money?

This was another enjoyable mystery of sorts mixed with romance (would be better without the sex scenes but that's personal preference).

The characters suited the plot and there was some tension and suspense. I liked the writing style and how quickly the characters were defined.

These stories have an old-fashioned feel rather than set in the modern world but that could be because of the wealth involved.

Overall, an entertaining read.
