This one came as a freebie with one of the newsletters I receive and I decided to give it a go.
This is an OTT novella, good for about 2 hours of romance! Nothing complex, just some simple entertainment. Due to the length of the book we get some instalove / lust. And even though I felt the lust, I have to say I didn’t feel the love. Even though Blade is a sexy cowboy, he was a bit too arrogant? Like not in a good way? I’m not quite sure why he didn’t work for me. I also really don’t understand why they hired an attorney to come all the way to them and she had like 5 minutes of work. Why would she need to stay with them for a whole week? Bit strange. Anyhooo, it is fiction so everything goes ;-)
I did really enjoy the country environment and could totally imagine myself there. Blade’s parents were sweethearts. Even though I enjoyed this one for what it was, I don’t think I will be reading the next novella.

Reading the words "give me all that cowboy cum" gave me the ickiest ick. I almost dnf'd there, but unfortunately, I'm not a quitter. I'm gonna think about that for some time, I'm sure, and my body will shiver with repulsion.

Prepare yourself for a rant…..you’ve been warned
I was on the fence for about the first half of the book, and then it turned into an absolute dumpster fire for me. Not all writing styles are for everyone, so I wasn’t going to let my preferences get in the way. Then came the absolute lack of editing and I was like, ok I’m not the grammar police but this is beyond distracting. Did the author even have a friend proofread it? Follow that up with nickname the MMC gave the FMC, Sugar Whiskey, guess he figured since he was a mouthful her name should be also. The straw that broke the camels back was the random unnecessary plot twist at 60% FMC is getting a tour of the parent’s house and while on said tour the Mom tells FMC, who she has only known for like 48 hours and only because she is their attorney, about the death of her brother and sister in law 20 years ago and that the 7 kids are actually their nephews and niece. At which point two things happen that take the ridiculous meter even higher the Mom/Aunt says to the FMC “For some reason I thought maybe Blade would have already told you.” WHY! Why would he tell her that she has known the dude 2 days, in what alternate whiskey laden reality would that come up in conversation. The FMC is an attorney who specializes in easement rights, why would this be pertinent information. The second thing bugging me was that the author wants me to believe the MMC who was 15 when his parents died and as we were told he was close to his mother, now calls his aunt and uncle, mom and dad, nope just nope, you are bending reality to far for me. The author would just drop these weird, out of place, and sometime jarring plot points in as a way of moving the story along. I’m mean seriously the FMC thought the MMC was a player until she finds out his parents died when he was 15, because obviously with that kind of trauma you can’t possibly be a player. Dear baby Tom Cruise please save me from this ridiculous writing. Don’t even get me started on the vivid flash back of the bathroom bang, “Sugar-whiskey reaches up and grips the stall door. She finds the toilet seat with one of her high-heeled shoes and braces herself on it” Ah wuv tru wuv 🤮 Then “I watch, transfixed by the sight of her small, hot glove expanding around my thick, girthy rod” 🙄 and this isn’t the only time the author used “glove”. Ugh so much cringe and cheese in this book.

After an unforgettable night who should she see the next morning? Yep, Blade Parker, her one-night-stand. He’s suspicious that she knew who he was and she is afraid to diminish her professionalism by getting involved. But they cannot deny the fireworks. OMG there is humor too. Like when he allows his male appendage to talk in italics! LOL funny.
This is one VERY steamy billionaire cowboy romance which starts off Ms. French’s new series. I didn’t think it was possible to be better than the Wild Wests series, but she may be on to something. I love an Alpha male cowboy who knows what he wants, SAYS what he wants and goes after it. If this is a theme that you also like, read this book. You will not be disappointed. Book 1 of Billionaire Cowboys Gone Wild series (alpha male/insta-love). This is one spicy story! It has generously descriptive and entertaining details. Told in dual POV, strangers share an unforgettable one-night stand and later meet again in a professional setting. Surprise! Blade is happy but Annalisa is mortified. What will it take for Blade to convince her there's more between them than strictly business? I like this romance for it's likable characters - surprising depth shown in them for a short story, easy plot, funny dialogue, convincing details regarding both of their professions and sizzling chemistry. Looking forward to next story from the Parker family of cowboys!

i fucking ate this book up. i started it and it immediately was pretty intimate so i was slow to get into it but when i did. goodness did i jump all the way in. i remember looking down at my phone 2 hours later not even realizing it had been that long. i ate this story up. i loved the drag. it was just enough drag and enough bread-crumbing for me. i loved the fact that her nickname stuck. i loved that they connected on that deep level w the death of both of their parents. i loved how welcoming his family was and how Annalisa immediately fit right in. i however didn’t like how rushed the ending felt, i didn’t like that they immediately went into engaging but nonetheless i loved their story. i loved this book so much. i had a great time reading it and am definitely glad i read it.

The next day Annalisa discovered that she worked for the Parker Family helping them settle a dispute with the county finding away across Parker land to public land. All Annalisa could see was her career going up in smoke. She had to get across to Blake it was a one night only thing, no matter how bad he wanted it to happen again. Blake had to convince her no woman ever told him no. This was a fun loving story with humor and other heartfelt moments.

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Annalisa and Blade have a steamy night together not knowing who the other was. Come to find out, she is the real estate attorney working on a kind deal with the Parkers. The one time she let loose and now she is in a bad situation professionally. What makes it worse is that she cannot deny the chemistry between them. Blade has other ideas about their night together. They have a few obstacles in their way, but then their happy future together starts. I enjoyed this short love story.

I enjoyed this relatively short but very sexy romance with instant lust and love. I liked that Annalisa was a strong professional woman who had ethics and was determined to stay away from Blade once she knew he was a client. Like his father, Blade trusted his instincts and followed them. He was open and honest about his feelings and clearly a hard worker who had helped his family become successful. The world building and characters were wonderful and I did not come across any grammatical issues that bothered me. Nice story.

Loved this start of a new series!! The Parker family has bought the ranch that used to belong to the Johnson’s. You remember them? They were the next ranch over with The momma , Cletus and that other one all went to prison for moving drugs through there. William and Jen were the good ones. Along of course with those Wild West Brothers! I think Blade Parker and his siblings are going to give them a run for the money. Hot as all get out and hunkalicious! Anna Lisa has already snagged the oldest for herself! Can’t wait to see what stories come out next in these adventures!! Ride em Cowboys!

This reminded me of why I don't like billionaire romance. This guy acts all entitled and can't fathom the woman rejecting him because she wants to be professional and keep her job. No siree, she's just playing hard to get, or something. A lot of what he does can be considered sexual harassment, but he gets a pass because he's hot.
I picked this up because I thought it was a cowboy romance (which I like), and therefore would be different from your typical billionaire crap, but nope. It's just an entitled arse on top of a horse.

This book is something alright. I found it and saw that took place in my homeland so I was like cool bro I’ll read this. It’s very cheesy and heavy handed with the over the top smut- so this definitely has an audience! This is definitely NOT a bad review! Nope. I like think cheesiness has its place and it’s cute in that insta love kind of way- plus it made me laugh a lot- anyways I edited the review from original because I think it came across harsh. And I don’t mean it that way! Read this is you like, cute, high steam, insta-love novellas with an HEA.

Wow, love me some Blade Parker, definitely a cowboy who can back up all swagger, when you get to know him. A life changing one night stand leaves Annalisa in an awkward situation, but one that has so much promise if she takes a chance. I absolutely loved how this couple kept going back in their thoughts to each how they remembered their one night, one for the charts. Great ending to this new set of characters.

I was ready to read about a sexy cowboy coming in and tearing his main lady’s life apart. That being said, I think this book didn’t have that sexiness factor, at least not as I was expecting it to.
Where’s the ranch work? The glistening sweaty chest? The falling into mud and cow poop? The falling in love with a baby pig? The rebel hose that gets everyone wet, and out of their clothes?
So much that could’ve happened, there was so much room for adventure.

He's a billionaire and extremely important (one night stand too, oops!) She's a property attorney. They met in a hotel bar and hard a steamy night together. Then they meet again...such a fun story. Yes, he's a dirty talking cowboy, but it really adds to his character. I love these characters. Such a fun book.

This is a super quick read and it is very insta love. But I thought it was cute and I really enjoyed it. I liked it so much that I’m thinking about reading about the other brothers in the series.
This was a nice quick read between books!

June 24, 2023DNF. This author knows nothing about horses or cows. Couldn't even respect the reader enough to do a simple Google search about Black Angus. If you know anything, and I do mean anything, about riding horses do not read this author. It will insult your intelligence, yank you out of what should be a fun story, and leave you frustrated and NOT in the fun way!

Blade/Annalisa. This book was ok. This is the first book I’ve read by this author. Would have liked more of a story than just about their obsession for each other. Hard to believe in less than a week this couple is head over heels in love with each other. Got this book for free. If I have to pay for the other books in this series I didn’t like this book enough to pay for the other books.

Not a bad story, although the story seems to be cut at points in order to keep the book short. It is insta love but there were times where you can see the obsession (and boy was it lusty!) but the love seemed to be missing. It was a good little inbetween book that filled a couple of hours and a nice break from a heavy series.

A very enjoyable story that starts out with some incredibly intense moments between the two main characters. It was s fast paced story that was fun to read. I enjoyed every moment of it.
