I loved and disliked this one at the same time. The flow and characters were wonderful. I loved getting to know the Marauders and seeing Peter written to where you can actually see why he was considered their friend. I didn't like Lily's character at all. Her running away and hiding Harry's existence annoyed me to no end as well. I loved Jame's proposal to Hermione, though!

My biggest issue is that this is part one, and it left me with so many unanswered questions. I can not find part two anywhere, so I have no idea if it was even released. It left on such a huge cliffhanger. I also didn't like how Hermione literally made hardly any changes besides getting involved with James. She didn't make any effort to save anyone really or properly warn them, in my opinion.

Things aren't going as well as Hermione has hoped when the Golden Trio left Bill and Fleur's wedding to go find the other Horcruxes.
They destroyed the Diary and the Ring. They know that Harry is one as well as Nagini. But they haven't found the locket since Mundugus stole it and they don't know which other relic could be a hidden Horcrux.

Before they left Hogwarts, Dumbledore has taken Hermione aside and told her that if needed, she should go back in time and destroy the Horcruxes before Voldemort could return. To acomplish that, he gave her the last Time Turner in excistence as well as a journal of information he collected along with a note to his former self, to help her in this mission.
At first Hermione was against the idea of traveling back in time and messing with history, she now thinks that this is their only hope to win this war.
Find the Horcruxes and destroy them before Voldemort kills the Potters and unintentionally makes Harry one, without screwing up the time line of her own present....
Seems easy but isn't when you fall in love with the last person you should fall for, risking not only the future but the mere excistence of the person that is meant to bring down Voldemort.

I love, love, love James+Hermione stories and are always curious how things will end happily for them all while ensure that Harry will excist. I loved the route this story took with it and even though it was pretty obvious from the beginning that things would turn out this way, I loved the reveal of Harry's birth.

I have to say that I struggled a bit with the character manerisms at the beginning and even though I still dislike Hermione alot, I loved all the rest of them.

I wished that Hermione made more of an effort to change the lifes of the people she came into contact with. She didn't do anything to better the future or save anybody other than the Potters.
There were so many things that she could do to ensure the safe outcome of the people around her and she just didn't care to do anything.
All she focused about was her feelings towards James and how wrong it was to fall for Harry's dad and how this could mean that Harry would never end up being born.

She didn't try to save the Longbottoms.
Or Sirius,
or Marley.
She only warned them about Regulus's fate but found his death necessary to get to the locket.
She didn't try to make Peter's life better to prevent him for joining Voldemort and betraying his friends.
She literally spend all her time talking about her mission and sitting around, fighting her attraction towards James.





My feelings towards Hermione aside, I really loved this fic and can't wait for it's sequel to come out.
The story stopped with a cliffhanger and the promise of more things to come.
Part 2 kicks off right before 1981 and will take us through the final year of the first wizarding war with canon events happening.
