The Celtic Cock… the family pub Torin Flanigan ran with his sister. It took up all his time and energy, making it easy to fend off the multiple propositions he got from women every night.
But there was one woman that caught, and held, his eye. Erin McBride. She came in rarely to the pub when she returned from her military tours, but when she did, her haunted eyes drew him in, making him want to soothe whatever nightmares plagued her.
The Hope City Marathon was coming soon and running with her was a chance to spend more time getting to know the quiet beauty.
Will Torin be able to be the man Erin needs when tragedy strikes and her world implodes a second time?
As an Award Winning and International Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Kobo Best Selling Author, I have always been an avid reader. I joke that I "cut my romance teeth" on the old historical romance books. I’ve written as a hobby for over 30 years. In 2014, I finally gave in to the characters in my head pleading for their story to be told. Thus, Emma's Home was created.
My first novel, Emma's Home became an Amazon Best Seller in 3 categories within the first month of publishing. Its success was followed by the rest of the Fairfield Series and then led into the Love's Series. From there I have continued with the romantic suspense Alvarez Security Series and now the Saints Protection & Investigation Series.
My books are filled with sweet romance and hot sex; mystery, suspense, real life characters and situations. My heroes are alphas, take charge men who love the strong, independent women they fall in love with. I worked as a counselor in a high school and have been involved in education for the past 30 years. I recently retired and now can spend more time devoted to my writing.
I have been married to a wonderfully patient man for 35 years and have 2 adult, very supportive daughters. When writing, my dog or one of my cats will usually be found in my lap!
A very good bitter sweet story. There is as much liss and sad moments in thus story as there are happy ones. A great message of not giving into despair, and to continue to move forwards.
Most of the McBrides' have returned home from the services to new careers in Hope City. Unfortunately for Erin McBride she left emotionally shattered. Now starting to pull herself together and finding direction. She meets Torin. Loss is drawn to loss. Torin has had his own share of losses he came back to Hope City for home and family.
A good story. I do like the way the loss does make me appreciate to good much more. I think there is more to this story and a couple of the side characters to come in the later book and I am looking forward to this.
I’ve been waiting for Erin’s story. She returned from her time as a military medic. She has to find a way to open herself to getting help dealing with her PTSD and settling back into civilian life.
“You can’t rush grief. It has to be worked through, each at their own pace.”
She finds help from Torin… a “…tatted, ex-military, somewhat grumpy bar owner” who IRL is kind and caring and exactly what Erin needs to rely on when things get rough.
I love the Hope City series, each and every book has been a wonderful story on its own. -5 Stars-
Oh my stars!! Maryann Jordan has done it again!! This is a 5 star must read!!
This book literally had my heart beating and racing within the first couple of pages. I found myself not being able to put it down because I had to know what happened next!!
Torin and Erin have a beautiful love story that starts out as friends but turns into something so much more, but Erin experienced loss and heartache in the worst possible way and she’s not sure if she is willing and able to give her heart to someone else. Torin and Erin spend a lot of time running and it seems to break her out of her shell and she starts falling for Torin. But a tragic event, Erin is determined she is not going to lose someone else she loves!!
Please take a chance on this book, I promise you won’t be disappointed!! Way to go Maryann!!
Wow, just wow! Thank you Maryann Jordan for this wonderful addition to the Hope City series! Erin’s story was simply heartbreaking, her pain and loss hidden from her family and friends as she searched for a way to move forward with her life after the Army. Running is her way of fighting the nightmares. On one of her runs she is joined by Torin Flanigan, who owns the Celtic Cock Pub. As the two start running together, training for the Hope City Marathon, Erin finds his presence in her life bringing her peace, contentment and love. When tragedy strikes at the Hope City Marathon and Torin is injured, Erin is thrown back into the nightmares of her past. Will the nightmares claim her again or is she strong enough to weather the storm?
Although I received an ARC of this book, my review is my own and as usual I have purchased my own copy.
What an amazing read with all the feels and fair warning, tissues will be needed as we finally find out what has been up with Erin. It’s been over a year and Erin is finally coming out of her shell, opening up and dealing with her past and she has help, Torin, the owner of the pub most emergency personnel frequent, becomes her running partner and they develop a friendship, that grows into so much more. Seriously....tissues will be needed as grief, loss, a horrific incident and tragedy all play a part in both Torin and Erin’s past, as well as some heart to heart talks and quotes that would make an ogre misty eyed. I LOVED the no drama and how past loves were not compared, one not better than the other....perfect. These two had a connection, sparks, friendship, love that radiated off the pages, the story flowing perfectly, with amazing characters and a beautiful, sometimes heart wrenching and heartwarming read. *I voluntarily read an advanced copy and expressed my honest opinion*
Torin is book nine in the Hope City series and I can’t believe everything these characters have gone through to get here but I absolutely adore this series and can’t wait for more❣️
Torin is the owner of the Celtic Cock and meets Erin one night at the bar. Recognising the look in her eyes, he doesn’t think too much of it until they meet again on a track doing what they both love to do….run🏃♀️ When it’s clear they are both running in the Hope City marathon, they decide to train together. This leads to feelings developing but Erin still needs to acknowledge her past in order to move forward to her future❤️🩹 That is until tragedy strikes😢
An emotionally charged story but showcases Hope City coming together as a community and progress in moving forward towards a second chance at life🤩
It is through Kris Michaels that I was introduced to Maryann Jordan as a writer. They have teamed up to write the Hop City series and together they write some tense, suspenseful and wonderful stories. I love some seriously alpha men and the women that tame them.
Love these books and the spin off series. They keep on getting better and better.
You don't know what you are missing if you don't read these authors work.
A little bit sad. This story is heartbreaking and ultimately super sweet. Torin is one special guy, who gives Erin more than she expected. A little drama and intrigue. A super sweet and special ending.
The latest Hope City story is back with McBride family with Erin and pub owner Torin. Great story with all the emotions and feels Maryann Jordan's fans look forward to. Awesome characters with great chemistry.
Torin is the latest story in the Hope City Series. We have met him in previous stories and know him to be the owner and bartender of everyone’s favorite bar, The Celtic Cock. We have also seen him meet Erin McBride and notice his soft spot for her in a previous book too. Wow is this story fantastic! It’s got a bit of every emotion but leaves you with hope.
Erin used to be a nurse in the Army where her fiancé’s death, in her arms, leaves her with PTSD when she came home. She has had a difficult time dealing with the loss of her future as she saw it and her family has been worried about her. As a way of dealing with her anxiety, she runs. It is during one of these runs that she sees Torin whom she recognizes from the bar. They run together and begin to train for the upcoming Hope City Marathon. This is a great way for them to get to know each other better in a non threatening way since she is a bit gun shy. She begins to look forward to these runs and her time with him. It’s helping her out of her dark place and she is smiling more.
Torin has had loss in his life as well - his parents at a young age. He understands her loss and broken heart. He is drawn to her but realizes that she has things that she needs to work through and is patient to take it slow, which is why the morning runs work so well. An incident occurs at the marathon and Torin is badly hurt which triggers bad memories for Erin that Torin understands, but at the same time helps him to realize that Erin is who he wants and that life is short.
The character growth for each of them and their story is really great! It is a true WOW for me! Watching them both overcome their fears and find each other was a wonderful journey. Seeing the extended families and getting updates on their lives is always great too! Reading about the dedication required to do a marathon and all of the preparation work from the organizers and city officials gave me something to think about as well. (Not gonna lie, kinda made me feel lazy to read about all of their running as I was lying around reading! 😉). Can we talk about what a cutie Torin’s cover model is? When Torin was mentioned in previous stories, I had thought that he might be a bit older, but that baby face? Too cute!
Excellent job Maryann! I loved Torin and Erin and while they might not be my favorite couple in the series, their story definitely is!
Torin (Hope City, Book 9) was beyond amazing! We have been getting snippets of Erin and Torin here and there in the other books in the Hope City series, and I could not wait for Erin’s story. I knew it was going to be worth waiting for, and I was right. Absolute PERFECTION! The first few pages are so very sad, and you just have to continue reading because you want so much for Erin. Erin was a medic in the Military, and is home and trying to heal from a horrific event that happened to her. I cannot tell you what that is because that will ruin it for you, but she is really suffering with PTSD. Going to school and working as a nurse, which does she really want to do this? Again, I am not going to ruin it for you. Her family and friends are worried about her, so she puts on this smile and says she is fine, but is she? Nope, not going to ruin it for you. Then there is Torin…oh, Torin, you had me at hello. He and his sister own the Celtic Cock Bar. He has seen Erin in the bar sitting in the corner, nursing her drink. He sees she is sad and withdrawn and wonders what could have caused this? Erin runs in the early morning and this seems to help her mentally. One day she sees Torin running, and they soon become running partners. He is very happy about this because he is really attracted to her. She is attracted to Torin, but how could she be after everything that has happened to her? Okay, really, that is all I am going to say. Erin and Torin’s story had me going for the tissues several times…just so, so heartbreaking. To witness their relationship go from running buddies to good friends to possibly more is breathtaking. Torin is very patient with Erin, and he calms her. Then, there is the family; of course all of the McBride’s and King’s make appearances. We even get to meet some new cast members. Along with Erin and Torin’s emotional journey of healing, you have this whole other storyline happening, which adds all the drama and danger to the mix, which makes for a spectacular book! I really loved all the quotes in this book. They really hit home for me. I did not think my heart would heal from this, but Maryann Jordan always manages to mend my heart. Erin and Torin’s story is truly a must read. I am never disappointed when I read any book from MaryAnn Jordan. I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
This is book 9 in the Hope City series and it absolutely can be read as a standalone although I recommend at least reading the books by Maryann before reading this one as we see how this character is throughout those books. With that being said-we get Erin and Torin's story in this one! Torin runs the family pub, The Celtic Cock, with his sister. He spends all his time and energy making sure it's a success. He usually doesn't notice the women who come into the pub beyond that they are customer's, but he notices Erin the first time she comes in. She doesn't come in often, but when she does there is something about her that just catches his attention. Erin knows she came back from the military different. She knows her family worries about her. And she is figuring things out and using her love of running to give herself an outlet. And with the Hope City Marathon coming up, she plans to run in it. Spending time running with Torin wasn't something she expected, but it is something that she enjoys and has started looking forward to. But neither expect the tragedy that happens.
I absolutely loved this story! I wanted to know what was haunting Erin since we first saw her. And it absolutely broke my heart in a way that I didn't expect. Our soldiers go through so many things when they are sent overseas but what happened just compounded this for her, and I absolutely felt everything that she felt. But I also loved how strong she was to know she needed help to move on. To actually ask for that help and go through the steps needed showed a strength in her that many just don't have. Torin has known his own loss and it changed the course of his life as well. But it also showed how much his family loved him and his sister and how strong some families truly are. The way these two come together starting as friends and then building upon that was beautiful to read. It couldn't have been done better if this author tried in my opinion! And then you add in the suspense in there? I was hooked start to finish and didn't want to put it down!
This is book nine in The Hope City Series and it is Torin and Erin's story and omg what an emotional journey but a must read. Erin was in the military as a medic and she had seen so much devastation but when her fiance John died in her arms while they were on tour she completely fell apart and suffers from Nightmares, Anxiety and PTSD and she was also having counselling to help her and along with her running and taking her degree in nursing she kept herself hiding to try and keep her memories of what happened from crowding her. Torin is ex military and owns The Celtic Cock pub with his sister and he was also a runner training for the hope city marathon. Erin and Torin had a connection between them that was so strong right from the beginning and the ran together but with everything that she had been through would she be able to take the next step that she needs to be with Torin and start to life again all will her memories pull her under keeping her from having the life she deserves. This book takes you on a journey of life's ups and downs along with danger, loss, heartbreak, hope, love, friendship and most important family that is always there for you to help and support through the difficult times and situations. This story was so emotional and I cried so much and I felt as if I was there going through everything with them and feeling all of their pain but I still couldn't put this book down as it takes you in right from the first page and keeps your attention until the last one and it was so addictive. Maryann Jordan is an amazing author and writer and she is also the Queen of Quotes that stay in your memory while reading her books and her stories always have so much depth to them that you feel like you are in her stories yourself. I absolutely loved this book and I definitely recommend you read it along with her other books and you will definitely not be disappointed.
I Voluntarily Reviewed an Arc Copy of this Amazing and Emotional Book.
Erin McBride returned to Hope City after serving as a medic in the Army. Erin returned broken, sad, depressed and suffering from PTSD. Her favorite phrase, “I’m fine…”, when she was anything but fine was her go to phrase. Her loving, overprotective family wants to help, but doesn’t know how. In effort to be “fine”, Erin finds herself at The Celtic Cock. Torin takes one look at Erin and knows she doesn’t want to be there and sees the sadness in her eyes. Torin finds himself drawn to Erin, but is too busy running the pub to take on anymore problems.
Torin Flanigan and his sister suffered great loss at a young age. Their grandparents gladly took them in and raised them. Feeling the need to find himself and see what life had to offer, Torin enlisted in the Army. While serving, Torin realized home (Hope City) was where he wanted to be. He returned home to help his sister run the Celtic Cock. He lives a simple life and doesn’t want for anything….until he sees Erin at the end of the bar.
This novel has ALL the feels! The awkwardness of a new relationship, loss, family, protective older brothers, and suspense abound. Maryann Jordan delivered with her portrayal of someone suffering loss and PTSD. I felt as though I was the one holding my loved one as they died. I loved that Torin didn’t push Erin and let her heal as her own pace. The last part, with Erin looking out the windows into the sky….sooo many tears. Poignant! The suspense at the end had me at the edge of my seat! I loved every minute of this novel. I read a gifted copy and all opinions stated are my own.
This installment of Hope City is about Erin McBride and Torin Flanigan. This story is powerful and full of emotion as Erin works towards coming back to a full life instead of the half-life she has been living since leaving the Army. The reasons why she has been sad and withdrawn are explained and will bring tears to your eyes, at least they did mine. Torin is her light after dark days.
I enjoyed "meeting" Torin and Maeve's, grandparents, they are the kind of grandparents everyone should have. Momma McBride may hover but she is amazing in her own right. She loves her children unconditionally and always has wonderful advice for her kids even if she drives them crazy sometimes. I always learn something new when I read Ms. Jordan's books and in this series, I have learned a lot about the stars and constellations thanks to Colm McBride.
Ms. Jordan has written an emotional story of loss, family, and the love that can heal you. She can draw you into the story and make you feel for the characters, grieve with them, love with them, worry with them, and laugh with them. She definitely does her research as she did with the pub, The Celtic Cock. Its meaning is perfect for this story. The ending to this story is heartwarming and brought tears to my eyes. Erin and Torin's story will stay with me for a long, long time to come. Settle down with a box of tissues, enjoy this story of loss, find the way back to a full life, and most importantly, love.
Whenever I pick up a book by this talented author, I know it will be not only a wonderful story, but also one I will remember for a very long time. This one proved my point. Erin McBride returned from a tour in Afghanistan a shell of her old self. She not only had to see the devastations of war as a nurse, but she also had very personal losses that changed her forever. Torin Flanigan and his sister run the family pub, The Celtic Cock. A place where law enforcement and first responders meet after work, and where the woman with haunted eyes has come on occasion. He’s drawn to her but also understands she needs space. A chance to spend time together occurs with the upcoming Hope City Marathon . As they spend time together, a relationship develops. Time to heal and find love once more. But what happens when the unexpected occurs? Will it stop Erin from giving love a chance? The plot was engaging from the first page to the last and the characters well developed. Paraphrasing the author, love gives us an opportunity to accept everything in life and it helps us deal with the losses life presents to us. So very true. I was entrusted a copy of this book. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Torin is co-owner and operator of the Celtic Cock Pub, a bar due to it's location and atmosphere is the popular hangout for most of the first responders in Hope City. He is former military and a runner. He is of few words and pretty much keeps to himself. Erin is a former medic in the Army and currently working and going to school to get her RN certification. She left the Army after a particularly gruesome event in which she lost the love of her life. She is now back home in Hope City trying to get her life back on track and fight the darkness threatening to drag her under. Can this unlikely couple find some common ground while running and training for the city's annual marathon?
Another awesome book by Jordan! There is so much to love. She does a wonderful job dealing with PTSD, job loss, and loneliness. There is plenty of action and feel good moments right along with the difficult issues. The characters are real and likeable. They have a depth to them that makes the story feel like you know them and could be living right next door. I recommend this book and any book written by this author!
I received a review copy of this book from the author. I am voluntarily leaving a review.
Another fabulous addition to the brilliant Hope City series, Torin does not disappoint in any way. Returning home with from PTSD after suffering loss and heartbreak in her last days as an army medic, Erin McBride is struggling to open-up to her family, pick-up her life and move on. Then she meets Torin and their friendship builds and grows into something more over a shared love of running and Erin realises that maybe her fragile heart can find love again. Just as their happiness starts to grow and the relationship deepens tragedy strikes and Erin is flung back to the horror of her previous heartbreak and suffering. Can she overcome her fear of loss and risk giving her heart again? A beautiful love story, Erin and Torin are perfect together, lots of emotion, heartbreak, action, suspense and heat and more of the wonderful McBride and King Families. Really enjoyed reading this and would thoroughly recommend it. I received an arc from the author an am voluntarily leaving my honest review.
Torin the newest installment of the Hope City is filled with heart, some heartbreaking some filled with joy. When Erin returned from her deployment she came back a shell of herself. After talking with her sister and then a therapist she’s moving forward. Going to school to get her RN and working as a home care nurse also running has become her thing. While running she comes across Torin at first they’re friends but he helps her really move on. This is my favorite quote: “The heart never quits beating, Erin. Not until we reach the end of our life. But until then, our heart can hurt, feel like it’s breaking, it can swell with pride, pound with energy, and dance with joy, And the reason it can do all these things is because of the ability to love, Love does not equal loss. Love is what gives us the courage to accept everything in life and help us deal with loss when it comes.” While running a marathon there’s an explosion that’ll actually show Erin has far she has come. I love this series, there’s so much heart and family with just enough suspense that’ll have you turning the page!
The Hope City Marathon is celebrating its 10th anniversary, and the organizers have gone above and beyond in preparation. Among the Kings and McBride, a number are participating, with spouses and significant others. Erin McBride, Army veteran and medic who is now finishing a nursing degree, has been sleepwalking since she came home. No one really knows what happened to her and she has kept it all bottled up. Finally seeing a counselor about her issues, she finds that running helps her stay in the world. Another runner, Torin Flanigan, owner of the pub where many first responders hang out, finds her beautiful and so sad it hurts. They begin to talk and meet to run some mornings. They find commonalities and a strong attraction. They also decide to run the marathon together. Unfortunately, an angry, abusive man and his two sons have decided to make their own statement at the marathon, resulting in multiple deaths and hundreds of injuries. The couple have to heal their wounds but they can do it together.
Hospice LPN Erin McBride has been going through the motions since her army discharge through most of the family had no idea why. It took a chance meeting with bar owner Torin Flanigan, while practicing for an upcoming marathon for Erin to realize she was ready to move on. As Erin realizes how quickly and deeply their running partnership is moving toward romance, its time to let go of the secrets that are holding her into a version of herself she’s ready to leave behind.
Torin’s looking forward to running the marathon with Erin and the extra dollars that will be in his coffers since his bar is a street over from the main racecourse. Meanwhile, a group of recently fired, disgruntled dockworkers put their plan in place to make the city pay for them losing their jobs. The blast goes off when Torin and Erin are less than a mile away, The McBride and King families, on-duty or not, leap into the fray Seeing Torin seriously injured, flashbacks send Erin crashing into unconsciousness! Rating: 4.25stars
Torin is the latest in Maryann Jordan’s Hope City series and it is by far the best one yet. This was an absolutely beautiful and emotional story that hooked me from page one and when the end came I wanted more! The story begins with us finally learning about the ghosts that haunt Erin and let me tell you, it was so heartbreaking. Erin runs to help her deal with her PTSD and on one of her runs, she ends up running with Torin. Torin was enamored with Erin the first time he saw her in the Celtic Cock and the two begin to form a friendship as they begin to train together for a marathon. From friendship, they find love and Erin finds the courage to open up to her family and to allow herself to fall for Torin. Unfortunately, their love is tested by a devastating event and you will want some tissues! By far, this is my favorite Hope City story. I’m looking forward to Caitlin next and hopefully Cieran! I received an authors copy and I have left an honest review.
Maryann Jordan had me laughing, crying, upset and angry with Torin’s book. Torin Flanigan runs the Celtic Cock with his sister Maeve, which they took over from their grandparents, whom they lived with after their parents passed. He had many women trying to pick him up, but the only one who caught his eye was the woman quietly sitting at the bar barely sipping her beer, the one who when he looked at her he recognized sadness in her eyes. Erin McBride. She came into the bar rarely when her family & friends made her get out after she returned from her tour in the Army, and that time obviously haunted her. A chance meeting while running and getting ready to run the Hope City Marathon gave them a chance to get to know each other better. There is, of course, something else afoot that could tear them apart. Like I said I went through so many emotions with this book, I can honestly say it’s my favorite of all of Maryann Jordan’s books.
I have to say this story deeply touch my heart. Erin McBride had been through something tragic that she couldn’t even share with her family. She meets Torin Flannigan the owner/bartender at the Celtic Cock which is a pub that many first responders enjoy. They both run and start running together to prepare for the marathon. This relationship develops over time and they do fall in love. There is also a plot to do something terrible and as a reader you will know who it is and why. Maryann Jordan has written an amazing story about a developing relationship that touch my heart and soul. My favorite science is an encounter that Erin has with a hospice situation. My eyes teared up as I have experienced this situation in my life. I wanted to hug Erin so hard and could relate to this amazing character. This is a very emotional and it’s so satisfying at the end. This is my very favorite story from this author and in fact one of my favorites ever.
Erin McBride has returned home to Hope City after serving as a medic overseas in the military. After seeing and going through great loss she's trying to find her way again. She's fighting her way back through depression, PTSD and going back to college to get her RN degree. When she joins her family at the local pub, The Celtic Cock, bar co- owner Torin Flanigan can immediately tell she's struggling.
When he's out running the next time he's surprised that she's also a runner. It's not long that he's convinced her to be running buddies to train for the upcoming Hope City Marathon. It doesn't take long for them to develop a deeper friendship.
I like how Torin was with Erin. He never pushed her. He was exactly what she needed. She was also what he needed. She brought brightness into his life.
What I really like about this book is that it is part of a series (book 9) but it can definitely be a stand alone.
Sunshine after the shadows. Torin, the owner and bartender of The Celtic Cock has noticed Erin McBride and her sad eyes. He is thrilled to bump into her whilst running early one morning. They discover a mutual love of running and a mutual attraction . Erin eventually opens up about her traumatic past in the military as a medic and realises that she can begin to move out of the shadows and into the sunshine. Torin and Erin and several friends and family decide to run in the annual Hope City marathon, those that aren’t running are working or cheering them on. Unfortunately tragedy occurs and lives get shattered again. This is a fabulous book, full of emotion and action. I loved it , Hope city gets better and better. I received this book as an ARC in return for an honest review. Highly recommended.

This book spoke to my soul in more ways than one! A story of love and loss, of PTSD and the suffering it causes. But also a story of friendship, of family, of what life can bring if you allow yourself to open up! Torin and Erin start their journey as friends with a love of running and their love grows from there! As Erin learns to believe in a new future tragedy strikes but with the love and support of her family and friends Erin learns that she needs to trust and believe… but it’s Torin who really understands her and allows her just to be! This story had me in tears as Erin learned what love truly is! The relationship between Erin and Rory and Erin and her mum was so heartwarming! Please pick this book up you will not regret it!! Thank you Maryann for the ARC and for your gift of writing 💕
Torin is book 9 in the Hope City series by Maryann Jordan and Kris Michaels. Torin has an intense, heartbreaking opening that enlightens us as to Erin's sorrow. My heart broke for Erin but her strength and determination shine through. Running is a major theme in the book since it's centered around the 10th annual Hope City Marathon. It made me wish I could still run. Erin and Torin, who have met previously, meet running and become running buddies. Watching their relationship grow was a joy. Erin finally confides in her family about what happened overseas and they circle the wagons around her. It's heartwarming how these families all support each other. I could hardly put this book down. Have your tissues handy. "It represents the night has passed and a new day awaits. Light comes after the darkness."
This is the 9th book in the Hope City series and it's written by the amazing Maryann Jordan. I have been waiting to read Erin's story for awhile now and it definitely was worth the wait! Erin has returned home from being a medic in the Army. Her family knows that she is dealing with something from her time in the military, but she's not ready to open up at first. She tries to hide her pain and loss from everyone and is dealing with PTSD too. Erin and Torin start out as friends and the relationship grows, but Erin is still dealing with her demons. When tragedy strikes Erin is thrown back into her nightmare and she has to decide if she can deal with her demons once and for all. I received an ARC copy of this book from the author, but this review is my personal opinion on this book. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves romance, action, and a little suspense.
Torin and Erin! This was such a beautiful story! I knew this one was going to be an emotional one after we met Erin in the earlier books and boy was it ever but in a perfect way. It wasn't so much you didn't want to read it just perfectly so. Torin and Erin were perfect for each other and really were kindred spirits looking for their match. Torin was exactly what you hope for in a book boyfriend, swoony, sexy, tattooed! It was nice to see Erin open and up to her family and to Torin and I loved the way the PTSD was addressed. I can always count on Maryann Jordan books to bring to light a real issue and show the realness of it and not sugarcoat it. I love this series and this was a great read and brilliant addition to the series. Enjoy!
