An excellent collection of sources introducing Christian traditions little understood here in the West. Extensive bibliographies point the way to further reading for those interested, but the sources selected and translated here are fascinating and helpful doors into different worlds.

Some of the introductions betray a more modern way of thinking than I’m ready to get behind, but the texts are translated and presented accessibly and are well worth the time and price tag.
