No-Fail Communication

Rate this book
What if communication was your superpower? What if every member of your team had perfect clarity about your intentions and expectations? And what if you had perfect insight into theirs? What if you and your team said yes only to things that moved your business forward and were skilled at saying no to everything else? What if every meeting, every email, and every project plan left no doubt about about the intended outcome? What if you and your team could communicate as effectively when working remotely as you do in person?

How would that change the culture of your business? What would it do for the morale of your team?

That's a picture of clarity that will transform your workplace, and No-Fail Communication can make that a reality for you and your team.

I listened to the audio version but will return to the written version. Short, concise, practical. A very helpful guide on avoiding communication mistakes and making good communication your superpower.

Very simple communications principles and practices, but so tangible and worthwhile. This might be the quickest book you’ll read all year, and it’s worth adding to your shelf if you want to increase effective communication within your workspace.

I love a practical read! This book addresses some incredibly common communication challenges in a tactical manner; as stated in the 'Lead to Win' episode by the Hyatt team accompanying this book's release, its format is much like a guidebook which can be easily and repeatedly referenced. These strategies can serve equally as valuable reminders for career veterans and as outstanding coaching for less seasoned staff. It is content which I sometimes found painful as it brought vividly back to mind some hard career experiences; the content is refreshing in its engaging manner and equipping me with some new language for age-old problems. I'll be revisiting this handbook regularly and recommending it for a few specific team engagements!

Coach and author Michael Hyatt offers very practical tips on how to supercharge your communication skills. While much of the advice is tailored to the workplace, much of what he writes is applicable to everyday life. The book focuses on everything from basic communication challenges, unclear communications, confusion in the ranks, remote communications, and how to have difficult communications with your employees.

At one time or another, we have all faced the challenge that Hyatt writes about. In this book, her offers great advice and helpful templates to make us all more effective communicators.

Good, but most of it seemed like common sense or fairly basic. Good principles, but overall just lacking depth.

Michael Hyatt always has smart, concise takes on management and efficiency. This short book doesn't share anything new or revolutionary, but it presents information in a well-organized way.

One I read yearly. Hyatt does an excellent job getting his points across without fluff. Recaps at the end of each chapter are also helpful.

This book exceeded my expectations. I thought it would be more of the same that is typical in this topical area of communication. It was as though Michael Hyatt was my personal coach and knew the current environment of my workplace while coaching me through how best to implement needed change.
