Winner of the 'Nutrition Award' from ASIAN INSTITUTE OF GASTROENTEROLOGY, Rujuta is amongst the most qualified and sought after sports science and nutrition expert in the country and the only nutritionist to have associate membership from SPORTS DIETITIANS, AUSTRALIA. In the plethora of diet fads and fears, her voice rings loud and clear, urging us to use our common sense and un-complicate the act of eating. Having worked with people from all walks of life, of all age groups and varying fitness levels, she has fine-tuned her methods to fit the lifestyle of the urban Indian.
Her two books and the film 'INDIAN FOOD WISDOM' have been on top of the best-selling charts for more than 5 years now. Her third book on exercise 'DON'T LOSE OUT, WORK OUT' is out in the market now.
This (audio)book contains 12 clips of about 15 to 20 minutes -more or less- in which Rujuta Diwekar talks a wide range of topics such as; when and what to eat, how much to eat, kids and family health, exercising and such...
The best and most appealing thing about rujutas suggestions is that they all are very easy to adopt life practices. she never asks us to give up our local cuisines or snacks or never asks us to sweat our pants off in one go. For a south Indian middle-class low maintenance person like me her ways to achieve good health is just the perfect way.
The book has nothing new to offer to those who follow Rujuta Diwekar on social media platforms. Still its a good one to get motivated and to rectify our food habits gone wrong. It is in hindi, its available on audible(free of cost to audible members)
This is informative, no doubts on that. But it just made claims like rasins is good for your health and like how local food is better for both us and our economy. I have no doubts on that either. But these are just statements with no scientific evidence. I wish along with all these statements she included actual scientific research to support her statements. Otherwise this is just like reading another no blog post :/
A comprehensive nutrition solution audiobook for Indian audience.
I liked the way Rujutha did not use any fancy dieting jargons like intermittent fasting, keto etc and focused on sticking to our indian roots and age old healthy lifestyle.
She recommends eating local, seasonal and indigenous health foods like ghee, rice, achaar unlike blindly following westernised health foods and fads.
Recommended for anyone who wants a little knowledge on heathy eating habits and foods, also recommend for girls because she has covered a lot of health aspects related to women's health as well.
Very clear diction, concepts, practical and easy to follow. The myth busters and hard hitting home truths have been delivered well. I heard it on audible so enjoyed it more. Highly recommended
In simple words she takes us back to our roots..our childhood! Refreshes our childhood memories of food! I loved it as I feel I really wanted to be told to go back to eating what and how we used to while we were small. She did this convincingly. I eat everything homemade and local and trust me I really feel good. Feeling healthy is being healthy 😊
Such a fresh outlook towards diet and good health and overall well-being of our bodies. Rujuta Diwekar has really brought this audiobook at the best time. We all are so confused about diets and tracking and steps that we have forgotten to enjoy food. Absolutely a delight to listen to this book 👍🏽
What's great about this book is its simplicity. Diwekar suggests small changes, like enjoying local foods and not over-exercising. This is especially good for people who want to stay healthy without too much effort. The book doesn't offer much new information for Diwekar's social media followers, but it's still motivating for fixing bad eating habits.
Diwekar encourages eating homemade and local foods, taking us back to the simple eating styles of our childhood. This approach is not only nostalgic but also practical and healthy. The book is a reminder to enjoy food and not stress about diet trends.
Overall, "Secrets of Good Health" is a great read/listen for anyone who wants to be healthy in a simple, enjoyable way. It's about finding balance and happiness in our everyday food and lifestyle choices.
