The Recipe For Empowered Leadership: 25 Ingredients For Creating Value & Empowering Others by Doug Meyer-Cuno is the work of a man who discovered a flaw in his leadership and searched for ways to prosper his business and people. Discovering he micromanaged his workers so much his business was stagnant, Doug reestablished his approach. Not only did this work in his business, but this tactic also worked as he merged two families into one.

I love how Doug Meyer-Cuno often teaches a powerful lesson then backs it up in how you can; invest, inspire, and ignite. The Recipe For Empowered Leadership has multiple charts to check and enforce your progress. Influential quotes begin each chapter and steps that emphasize the main points taught. Chapter twenty-two was my favorite chapter and probably the one most needed in our country today.

The Recipe For Empowered Leadership: 25 Ingredients For Creating Value & Empowering Others by Doug Meyer-Cuno is a well-written book with the ingredients you need for success. After having a bit of an epiphany, Doug decided to change his leadership style which changed him from a micromanager to a "grower". This mindset change is the message contained in this book. Written in an easy tone and a friendly manner, Doug shares his vision for the future of management. He shares many of his experiences along the way and in doing so, opens up a world of possibility. If you are in a leadership role and wanting to support your team more effectively, this is the perfect book to accomplish that task. Highly recommend it for a down-to-earth and practical advice kind of business book.

A Hand-Book For Business
Author Doug Meyer-Cuno is an example of an author who knows how to best approach a subject matter. Doug uses the story of his life as a business owner to educate on the ups and downs of the business world. In sharing his experience as an author, Doug drops some vital lessons that are useful for every business owner. It is also a handy book for those occupying the position of leadership. The author approaches this book humanely and understandably.
There are a lot of possibilities when it comes to business and the author opens our world to a whole new perspective in this book. I strongly recommend this book to those looking for ways to support and grow their businesses. The book contains advice that you can apply to your business daily.

Author Doug Cuno pens his recollections of lessons he has experienced during his growth from a small-business owner to the leader of a multi-million-dollar company. His faults and his successes are here to give you an idea of areas that can use improvement in your own leadership skills.
While informative and well written, the information was not new, nor was it presented in a thought-provoking way which would prompt me to reach for this book again to reread certain sections. So good book, but not one that will be very memorable.
