*dries my tears* I can’t believe the series is over?! It feels just like I just started reading Crystal yesterday and fell in love with Crystal, Dylan, and Jaik. I’m honored to have been on this journey with Darby!

Legacy brings yet another round of angst, romance and action for readers as our beloved characters become who they’re meant to be. Saying goodbye to them as their journey is brought to an end is bittersweet, yet satisfying as well.

Darby has done it yet again, ripped out my heart and put it back together again. Let’s start with Jaik my poor baby has been throughout and back, a lot of it had me crying, I still want more of him but you know that might just be me. Also, Seeing Dylan and Crystal grow as a couple and as separate characters, was just so beautiful.

This is such a wonderful conclusion to and even better trilogy. Darby is definitely one to watch, I can’t wait to see what else she writes and how she blows us all away.

This book was my favorite installment of the trilogy. I absolutely loved getting insight into yet another planet. Darby does such a wonderful job creating different worlds with unique but believe able lifestyles and cultures. The plot kept me on the edge of my seat because the twists and turns were so good. And the ending was so satisfying.

The romance was interesting because typically I lose interest in a couple once their together, but needing to deal with the ramifications of jumping into such a serious relationship so quickly coming back to haunt them kept it from going into boring established relationship stuff. It was great.

I hope there will be more awesome books from Darby to come now that their trilogy is complete.

This one is my favorite of the trilogy. I love how much the characters have grown during the three books. This one had me on the edge of my seat the whole time and I was blind sighted a few times because of how well it was written.

If you're looking for a really fun sci-fi adventure with characters you'll fall in love with, this one is for you. 💫💫💫💫💫

In this epic conclusion of Crystal Akinara and friends journey to save themselves and their home world, one can tell it is Darby Cupid’s strongest work yet. Throughout the entirety of the series, each book gets more complex, heartfelt, heart wrenching. If you’re in the market for an indie YA space opera, this is for you. Each character feels so real and the challenges they face along the way only connect you deeper to them. Crystal, Dylan, Jaik, and the rest of the gang will make your heart melt at this stunning conclusion to the Starlatten trilogy.

Legacy is the third book in the Starlatten series and follows our crew Crystal and her royal council, as they try to do right by their people and bring peace to their world. It's a story with a lot of sacrifice, emotional mess, new friendships and what the hell moments. TW : There are battle scenes with lots of blood and deaths of people.
.
First, can we just appreciate the fact Jaik was a sarcastic cinnamon roll and his conversions with everyone just made me snort with laughter. Crystal and her crew took so many difficult decisions and we got to see them grow as individuals and as a group so much. The responsibilities and the repurcussions of their actions were heartbreaking to read about. It felt like Sci-fi soap opera but in a very good way??
.
Second, I really loved the storyline and the characters development we got in this book. The plot took turn for the best and I was sucked in. Especially the scene where J had to explain what an Embrace was to A was precious! I definitely think my Wonderboy had the best Character development and I was so proud oh him and his actions and his progress. (Cue proud Mom music)
.
There were a lot of relationship issues we got to see in this book which was realistic and made sense to the story as a whole. I loved reading more about Starlatten and it's past history with it's war planets. Without any spoilers, let's just say this book was colder than the first two. Overall, I really loved this book, much more than the first two to be honest. It was much more developed, more emotional and had really high stakes. I can't wait to read more of this series now that I'm addicted to the characters!!

This was such a satisfying ending to this trilogy. I’m so glad that I got to go on this journey with Dylan, Crystal, Jaik and Co. It was epic to say the least, and full of emotional ups and downs, drama, trauma, action and betrayal and a few twists that left me surprised.

The emotional arcs that Dylan, Crystal and Jaik go through in this book are intense and felt so realistic. They’re all struggling under immense pressure and weight. They don’t always handle every situation right. But in the end, we get to see them grow into the people they were always meant to be. Faced with nearly impossible odds and facing the unknown, it’s not surprising they struggle and lash out. But the fact that they always work through the problem versus letting it fester is so good.

I loved how Dylan is very emotionally open in this book. He’s dealing with so much, fear, insecurities, needing to prove himself…and he becomes this incredibly strong character. He proved himself time and time again and for someone who has like, basically no training, it's so damn impressive.

Crystal is dealing with the weight of being a young queen, unearthing long hidden secrets and trying to make things right. All while questioning everything around her. Her fear causes her to doubt herself and it causes some angst and tension. Crystal makes some hard choices, and they don't always pan out how they should. It gives her interesting moral dilemmas.

Jaik delivers a lot of snark and sass in this book. While it’s entertaining, I will say that Jaik wasn’t my favorite character in this book. By the end of the book, as he really came into his own and matured, I found myself liking him so much more, and I’m so glad about the way his arc came to a close. It’s fitting and so deserved. I love it when a character goes through change and they come out better for it. He's ultimately such a sweetheart, but sometimes he lets his emotions rule him, and that's when I'm not his biggest fan.

This book has a few twists and turns you don’t see coming, so heart wrenching moments and jaw dropping ones. It has epic feats of strength and sacrifice. We get to see these characters come into their own and strive to make the world(s) a better place. I’m sad that this trilogy is over, but I’m not upset with how it ended. I’m so glad I stumbled upon this series and got to read and enjoy it.

If you love science fiction and you love fantasy, then you’re going to want to pick this series up. It’s 100% totally worth it, and watching the relationship between Dylan, Crystal and Jaik grown, and change is the best part. Through it all, the bond they form crosses whole solar systems and it just leaves you feeling happy.

This book is out of this world. Literally. It was like a star, fallen from the space to the planet Earth. The story of this trilogy started when the fallen young princess of Starlatten landed on Earth and have found friendship throughout her journey there, but that doesn't end there. There were far more problems and way harder than she thought.

In this final installment for the trilogy, she has to face many challenges that her ancestors have done. I really admire the concept of this book, knowing that its really hard to create a whole new world and still with a mixture of our real world. I was a bit confused on the world building but it amazes me.

For the characters, they were realistic. They make rush decisions but still solve what needed to be solved. I can see the development of each and everyone of the gang. The bromance between Jaik and Dylan? Perfect💯 They've grown so much throughout the whole trilogy and I just had to shed tears when I felt proud of what they become.

The conflict of the story was well written too. It ws not confusing and the motivation of the antagonists is a natural thing to do when someone is hungry for power. I admire Crystal for not turning her back from the dark secrets of her royal bloodline instead she faced them along with the people whom she found friendships with.

Overall, I am saying this again: this book is totally out of this world. It exercised my imagination to think of something out of the box. I mean outerspace? Come on, its super cool! It was like a movie with all the fantasy and scifi vibes playing on my mind when I read this.

Ohhhh wow!! What a ending to this terrific sci-fi triology. From all the 3, I liked this one the best. Going to a new planet, just on the basis of an intuition and words said by the enemy, was brave. Character development was best, Dylan omg was freaking awesome with all the hardwork he’s putting to match up with Crystal. I even loved how Jaik got all the happiness at the ending.

Legacy has got all traits of the good book, great story line, unexpected turns and revelations. At one point you think oh shit what just happened, it should not be like this. And then you can’t stop reading, you just want to make sure that everything goes back to normal soon.

Wow. Just wow. Another book I could not put down. I needed it all at once. In the same instance as the second before. Cupid delivers again with the conclusion of Crystal, Dylan and Jaik's journey. It was filled with ups and down, dangers unexpected and twists that rendered multiple double takes. I could not be happier with how this series ended. Kudos to Cupid for an amazing YA scifi adventure that was spicy and sugarcoated and sprinkled with so much wholesome goodness, I wish I could order seconds.

I absolutely love Darby's "skill with a quill" and Legacy was no exception to this. Every moment was packed with adventure, a roller coaster that I was thrilled to be a part of. I loved seeing the growth of Dylan and Crystal's relationship, as well as my personal favorite Jaik (and there were definitely scenes of his that had me bawling).

I am sad to see the end of this series, but can't wait to see what Darby has planned in the future (maybe some novellas?????).

But seriously, you don't want to miss out on this amazing series and especially this last book.

When I first picked up Crystal months ago, I hadnt known that I would be so invested in this world. But here I am, and still crying over the fact that this is the last book of Starlatten and in need for more.

Legacy was fun, catastrophic, angsty, action-packed, romantic— all the good words you could possibly describe a book tbh! This finale wraps up the series so well. Conflicts were solved, lots of character development, the setting (as usual) was well-written, Icould just imagine that purple glass and green sky so vividly. PLUS, my faves were safe! So that adds to my plenty love for this book.

This series is amazing. And I would recommend it again and again. Signing up for the Rebel book tour a few months ago is now something unforgettable for me, I discovered these books and I am so thankful for it.

I’m not sure how to even begin..

Crystal and the gang have been in my life for over three years now. I’ve read and reread the books. Crystal has been challenged in the last few years of being a teen to a degree that is hard to comprehend. The rollercoaster of grief that she rides, more times than is fair, has shaped her as a person in ways she wouldn’t have thought. With everything that has happened to her in the trilogy, it’s a wonder she is so sane. She will have her struggles of course but she copes on a daily basis incredibly well. I’m so happy that things worked out for her and that she is coming to terms with the fact that she has lost people close to her.

Jaik... I’ve gone on a rollercoaster with this character. I’ve disliked him, loved him, wanted him to end up with Crystal, wanted him to leave Crystal alone... and so on. I’m so happy he got to a place where he could accept and be happy with being nothing more than friends with Crystal. He found someone perfect for him too, but I’ll never not be sad that Ava didn’t move to Starlatten. Kara and Crystal were beyond devastated when they thought he died, and they still had to say goodbye regardless. I would have loved a happy ever after, but that isn’t realistic. There has to be other feelings when reading books, I just have personal struggles when they are of happiness 😂

Dylan... he was a love-struck teenager when I first met him, and now he is a confident and content king, reigning beside the queen of his heart. I’m a sucker for a love story so this makes my heart squeal with happiness. BUT. I’m so insanely sad that he didn’t get to say goodbye to his Mum and sister, and that he didn’t get a hologram message from them. In my unrealistic head, I wanted the whole Earth gang to be shipped to Starlatten and everyone lives in the happy neighbourhood on the same street 😅. But I’m so happy to have seen him develop as a person with Crystal, and as a leader and being comfortable with his new role. He has a special place in my heart his love for Crystal is something else.

I don’t know what else to say, expect I will miss these characters SO much. I grew to love them and sad that, although their journey and adventures will never be over, this is the last one that will be written. I have so many questions about the future. What will Crystal and Dylan’s kid be like? Will Jaik and Ava move to Starlatten, will Cadya and Kara get married? Does Dylan hear from his Mum and Sister, do the Earth gang ever visit Starlatten? I guess I can decide for myself for now. Here’s hoping for something in the future.

For now, goodbye Crystal and the gang. Thank you for the last 3.5 years 💞

Wow 🤩!!

What a journey! Starting with Crystal landing on earth after the devastating attack on her spaceship, I don’t think I was quite ready to go on this very turbulent ride!

I anticipation I suffered through this series especially in book 2 and 3 (especially 3) was intense!

When I was 3/4 of the way through book 3, I did reach a point of wanting to stop life and crawl under a thick blanket until some told me it was going to be ok, I was scared to read on, but couldn’t stop reading it! (Love it when that happens)

Darby Cupid has hit the nail in the head with these three books, they are a perfect mix of genres that leaves you far from bored! I am not really a sci fi girl, but reading books like this will definitely change my mind!
