Shattered Visions

“I am strong. I am a warrior. I am a survivor. I am not done fighting.”

TRUST WITH THE LIBERTAS ARMY HAS BEEN LOST, and Adaline must find a way to fix what Zavy has destroyed. Back on Dather, on the enemy’s land, Adaline and Alexander struggle to reunite their army and fight off the looming threat of war. But they are out of time. The war is here and the broken army must come together if there is any chance of a victory against King Renon and his commander, Paylon.

However, being back on Dather bears more than the threat of war. Old memories – and enemies – resurface as Adaline fights for the freedom she’s always longed for. And amidst the fighting, the betrayal, and the loss, Adaline cannot stop thinking about her father’s vision. The one that saw her crumbling into the cliffside and plummeting to her death.

But is the future truly out of Adaline’s control, or is her fate still to be determined?

In this gripping and powerful final installment, join Adaline as she fights for her freedom against the tyrant king and her father’s proclaimed future.

“You are not defined by your blood, but what you do with it.”

I was honored to be a Beta reader on this final book of The Markings series. I have read the other two books in this series so I was looking forward to this one.
I think this is the best book of the 3 in the series, they are all good and Catherine tells this story beautifully.
There are surprising twists and turns that you will not see coming, but in this last book all the questions are answered.
I loved that the maps and gifts really came into play in this final book.
There are exciting and touching moments that will linger with you after you lay the book down.
If you enjoyed the first two books, you don't want to miss this one.

A mind-blowing, action-filled conclusion; Shattered Visions managed to make me feel every emotion out there! I fell in love with trilogy since book one and it was such a pleasure for me to see how the characters developed and how the story evolved each book.

I can say that this book managed to touch me personally many times, I shed tears and laughed and swooned and had so many emotional experiences which made me fall in love with the characters even more. I absolutely love how badass Adaline is!! She’s one of the strongest characters I’ve read about and I love her more because I relate to her personality in so many aspects. I also love Alexander a lot but not gonna lie, I love seeing Max with Adaline more. If you have read the book, I am sure you can guess why I love them together.

Besides the characters, I absolutely loved the action-filled plot line. It was so intense and so well done, I felt completely addicted to the story. This trilogy will forever remain special for me because I’ve been on this journey since the first book released and I got to see how each character changed and developed and how each one of them became stronger and fiercer!! I’m a bit sad that this story is now over but I’m extremely happy that I got to see the ending I wanted to see!

I highly recommend this to fantasy and dystopian lovers! You are in for A RIDE!

Note: Thank you to the author for providing me an early e-arc of the book!

Unlimited stars are deserved by this book

I cannot express my love for this book, for this book series enough. I am so in love with the character development of not only the main characters but also you can notice how much progress the secondary characters have made and how life does not stay still and it goes on even after you made some mistakes. I highly recommend you to read all three books with the playlist available on Spotify, it made such a difference and it made the books so much more enjoyable. If you did not read this yet, what are you waiting for?
My only fear is the author might stop writing for this series and this has became one of my all time favs 🍷 hoping to see book 4 or at least a spin off. At some point in this book I had to listen to the song “all the things she said” from Tatu because it just fitted in the story and so many more from the playlist named “Alexander” in the author’s Spotify. Truly a series to break your heart and offer you a hand to put it back together.

I was fortunate enough to beta read this trilogy for Catherine and was thoroughly impressed with each installment. This third book does an excellent job of tying the series together and makes wonderful references to scenes and lines from books one and two. The storytelling is engaging and creative, a thrilling ending to a roller coaster of a ride for Adaline and Alexander. There were so many twists and surprises, I found myself enjoying each page. Cannot recommend this quick-read trilogy enough for any avid reader who enjoys adventure, dystopian society, action, love, sacrifice, and incredibly relatable characters. Will rate 5/5 every time.
