***MUST READ SAVAGE DEVIL BEFORE READING TWISTED KNIGHT***
He watched me get handcuffed and led away for something I didn’t do. He stared with those cold, steely eyes and did the one thing that caused my blood to run cold. Knight smiled and waved goodbye. He had wanted me gone the moment he met me, and Knight King always got what he wanted. But here’s the thing, there wasn’t a person in the world that could hold me down. Knight had fooled Green Hills Academy. Twisted each person who walked those halls around his little finger. The world around him fell at his feet. But my mother hadn’t raised a fool. I knew what he was. He played his sick, bullying games on me and for a moment I almost fell for them. As I sat in that jail cell remembering the past year, there was one thing I had learned… Knight King was my enemy and he needed to pay.
This book is part of the Green Hills Academy trilogy and can Not be read as a standalone.
The story was so good. Somehow, the pace was a little slower than the first book, but definitely not less intense. Whereas the Savage Knight had a lot going on for us to see, lots of action and intrigue, Twisted Knight, on the other hand, wasn't as frantic. And that in itself is enought to leave the reader even more on edge.
Along this book we get to know more people, and every single one of them came with a heavy baggage of secrets. There weren't as many attacks as before, so you have a false sense of security, but at the same time you have this feeling in your gut that this thin protective surface won't be able to contain the chaos beneath it for much longer.
It's like the calm before the storm. The minute you let your guard down, you will pay for that, because no one is above suspicious. There is no telling who to trust or not, who has a vendetta, why people act this or that way, what they know that we don't, and oh boy they know something and it was unnerving being in the dark like that.
And Violet was right in the middle of it all. I have some theories as to what is going on, but there are still so many things I'm dying to know. And what is Knight's play in all of that?
At first, I thought he knew a lot about things, but now I think he is almost as unkowing as Violet, and that disturbs me, because if he is in the dark as much as it seems, they are both in more danger than I thought.
Being part of a trilogy, this book ends in a cliffhanger. And being the glutton for punishment that I am, I LOVED it.
I was hoping this series would get better after the first book, however it did not…utter disappointment. These characters were so all over the place it was just…weird. I felt no emotion towards any of them. The two main characters go back and forth hating each other and liking each other in a flash…not even in a good back and forth either just a fucking weird bazaar way…IDK…I’m giving up at like 86% I felt nothing and that’s the worst…now I’m bummed I wasted my time on these books…Fail
I received a copy of this ARC and am voluntarily leaving a review"
Note* does have a cliffhanger*
This is the continuation of the first book Savage Devil, and again I am left speechless haha. Just when you think you put everything into place you get twists and turns that keep you guessing. Violet was right to trust her gut when somethings fishy its best to trust its a fish. While she wasn't and still doesn't know who she can trust her and Knight have been going about finding answers all wrong. Voilet and Knight are just realizing how much they borh need to work together to find the truth. When bodies drop at the drop of a dime and old ghosts start to bring up unhealed wounds, will truth bring these two closer or drive them apart.
I guess we will just have to find out in the next book. Cause thes cliffhangers are killing me 😂😂
Twisted Knight Is phenomenal. This is book two and must be read in order. You are kept on your toes throughout the entire read. Violet and Knight are still hot as ever. As the mystery surrounding the deaths of Knight's parents and Violets mom slowly start coming out you are thrown for a twist a new player on the scene. I was glued to the pages this entire read as we gathered more information with Violet. I love Violet and Knight together so much. I'm on the edge of my seat for Broken Knight and wish I had my hands on it now. I'm so in love with the Green Hill Academy series. You get the heat and you get that added twist and suspense along side that bully teenage aspect. I could not get enough and you will not be disappointed. This book and series needs to be one clicked.
I have skimmed a bit I confess. I'm mostly just wanting to know "OK, who did it" at this point. If this was a paperback, I probably would have flipped rapidly to the back to see if I could "peek" at the names left (because one has to be it right?). Sigh. On to the next.
The second book in this trilogy is “Twisted Knight. And it picks up where the last bookended, with Violet Adler being taken into custody suspected of killing John Lenker. For those you you that need a refresher. John Lenker was one of the three men who, along with the Mayor, try to sexually assault Violet in the pool house.
One of the last images she saw was a smirking Knight, waving her bye bye as she was handcuffed and put into the police car. Thus lead us to get this inner musing from Violet -
“He played his sick, bullying games on me and for a moment I almost fell for them.”
Um…ALMOST?. You DID sweetIe
Well. It took me getting all the way to chapter TWO for disappointment to set in. Because that when Knight came to the damsels rescue, bailing her out of jail, before supplying her with some cockamamie excuse for his behaviour . And of course Violet excepted it because,…you know, he was hot and, duh! The orgasms. Aargh! I was so excited to start this book thinking …ooh, Knight is going to be a really evil POS. This is going to be interesting. Instead he was just a needy POS who was obsess with his parents death and F’ing the heck out of Violet. Between his Cock twitches, and her wet panties( plus! Hand nipples), it was a miracle that there was a plot.
As with most bully romances, by the second book there is very little bullying anymore, As by this stage the two are pretty hot’ n heavy for each other. The guy is usually dealing with his F’d up emotional issues, opening up to the female lead, so she can then mend the broken boy, all while catching feelings… How I’m I doing so far?…
Thrown in a nefarious mean girl Seraphina, and her equally wicked mother, has this book leaning heavily toward the world of fairy tales on which it is based.
C’mon.
The poor girl, wrong side of the track. Whisked away to live in a mansion that more like a castle? The male lead us called Knight?
Even the extremely old for her age Ava - younger sister of Knight is fixated with fairy tale/ Disney villains.
Speaking of Ava, I do t know to many six years old that possess the kind of vocabulary she has, or even acts like her. She comes across, annoyingly so as a lot older, until the author remembers she’s only six, and whips out the ice-cream.
So the storyline goes a little like this - We get a little bit of plot, and then we get scenarios set up so Knight and Violet can screw each other’s brains out.
Then we get some more plot…repeat and rinse. The sex scene’s between the two, as time were creepy. I found Knight to be a dominant Pr**! And Violet to be a needy, compliant.
“I hated that my body ached for his touch.” She says…haha!
Some part of this story were straight out of the bully writing handbook.
Partnered up for art?….haha! Really? The. The author overplays the danger to Violet from Knights Uncle when he manipulates her into moving back into his house… For protection of course…oh! And some more F’ ing.
Violet was SUCH a push over, putty in his hands. All she needed as just a little bit finger action from Knight. , And, sure enough, not 10 minutes after arriving back, he has her on her knees giving him head… Then sex. Well, we could all see THAT *cough* coming.
So, as thing draw to a conclusion, we are offered up yet another cliffhanger.
Things are looking pretty dire for our plucky girl from the wrong side of the tracks. Seems she’s destined to die trapped in the evil mother and daughters basement.
But! Fear not! Dear readers, as I’m sure a Knight will come to her rescue. *** predictable stars
OK so middle book of the trilogy and full steam ahead!
We pick up right where book left us - violet is now in jail with a 100k bail on her head. And meets Jewel and Drew. And aren't coincidences great? Drews cousin was the bus driver that fateful day who happened to mention the nice little bribe a little rich girl gave him.... He gave Drew his old phone with evidence of emails that she is happy to give for a price..
Things with Knight seem rocky. So much hot and cold it's enough to give anyone whiplash. It seems the minute things are OK, some tidbit kernel of info comes to light which then sheds some questioning on their relationship again and on and on it goes..
Suddenly Seraphina is being nice to violet. She's not dense. She knows there's a reason, but no one can see what it is. Seraphina mom- Crystal- set the nice tone, and Seraphina seemed to follow in her footsteps. Violet appreciated Crystal kindness as she originally came from the South side as well, and violet thinks this makes a difference.
However, knight is dubious of crystal. Saying that when he was there she treated him like one of the staff - like he was below her. But violet isn't convinced.
So invited to a pumpkin luncheon thing by Crystal(having already been to Seraphina bday and numerous little outings) she thinks to go and come back home early. Checking the invite, she arrives at noon.. But oh dear, she was given an old invite and is 2 hour early now....
*alarms already going off now*
Crystal asks her if she minds helping, which of course she doesn't.....
She sends her to the basement to a little room to get a box.
*ding ding ding ding ding*
Cliffhanger and another one after that ensues but needless to say, knight was right about crystal.....
But we need to know what she needs Violet out the way for!! Who's killing these men that have been hurting violet? Where's the mayor now?? DID he kill knights parents? And which Jack is Violets dad? Does he own Jack's Place? Or what about the Jack that was flying the plane with knights parents?
A lot of questions which means a satisfying (hopefully!!) book that's due out I believe in March 26th!! Not too long to wait!!

Insofar as the technical aspects, there are enough typos and editing errors that you notice, but not enough to interfere. Creatively it's a very interesting story, however, as much as I want to like this book and give it a resounding recommendation I cannot. The biggest reason for this is simply because I hate the female lead. She is so stupid it's difficult to bear.
Violet is such an utter pushover she falls short of the claim that the author writes "fierce heroines." While she's got lots of sass, she has little to no real self-control, continually falling into bed with a man that treats her like cheap garbage; something she even admits to in her inner monologue and yet continually tolerates. She keeps finding out horrible things about Knight, but always believes whatever excuse he gives her with hardly any thought only for it to happen again and again. Then there are all of the clues that are dropped regarding her past, who her father is etc. but she never seems to be able to make the connections. I don't quite understand why the author would give us the clues and allow us to figure it out so easily but have her character remain clueless. The worst aspect of this character is how gullible she is when it comes to how people treat her. She falls into trap after trap, lets people use her, or continues associating with people who are obviously out to harm her over and over again and she never learns. It is just too frustrating to be believable or enjoyable.
Then there's the male lead, who is an arrogant abusive hateful scumbag. I wished I could say he had redeeming qualities but he's so busy using everyone around him it's difficult to drum up any sympathy. Then of course there's the way he speaks to her as if she's a thing to be used for sex and whatever intrigues he deems necessary.
So between hatefulness of the male lead and the stupidity of the female lead I just couldn't give this story more than three stars.
Pretty good story. There were some pretty big contradictions in the storyline that kinda bothered me. In the first book Knight supposedly goes to Seraphina’s house to get her dad to sign the mansion over to him and out of the mayor’s name (which is kind of a big deal since it gets rid of him) but then in the second book it’s like that convo never happens because Violet asks him AGAIN if he went there and he says it was just to get his phone back?
Also when we get that flashback of Knight being at the pond the night Violet’s mom was killed, he wants to scare the guy away so he shines his phone light into his eyes to make him run so he can see what he was doing (with what he assumed was a body) in the canoe, but then when he remembers later he said a bird flew and spooked the guy away.
Another one is when Violet plays with the locket around her neck, with her baby picture inside. Twice. But then that locket actually belongs to her mom, and was lost and Violet hasn’t seen it since the night her mom died?
Violet remembers her mom mentioning her dad was named Jack from the North Side… but doesn’t put that puzzle together about why the mayor could potentially want her, when the pharmaceutical company CEO has the same name as her dad? 🤔
The amount, or lack of, communication between the two main characters is always so annoying in books. So much could be resolved if. They. Would. Just. Talk. Haha. But then I guess, there wouldn’t be much of a book then, huh? Since they’d put their ideas together, solve the problem and move on within 50 pages.
Twisted Knight is the second book in the Green Hills Academy trilogy by Josie Max. The story is narrated from the dual POV of the main characters Violet and Knight. This book begins six months after the epic cliffhanger in the previous book Savage Devil.
Wow what a crazy, wild and unpredictable ride this one was!! Violet and Knight are back at it again in another amazing story. Violet has been through the wringer but now she is stronger than ever and ready to face her problems head on. Knight is his usual secretive, shady, hot and cold self but this time there is some extra swoon worthiness.
Some new characters are thrown into the mix but all of the loveable characters from the previous book are thankfully still here (waves at Arabella) also included are the cringe worthy ones that I can’t stand (I’m looking at you Seraphina).
This story had more drama, revenge, betrayal, shock factor, twists, turns and an abundance of secrets. I didn’t think that I could love this book even more than the previous one but I did and I never thought that the cliffhanger could get any more shocking but here I am with my mind totally blown.
You did such an amazing job Josie and I can’t wait to read the next book.
I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.
It wasn't that this book was terrible. It's just that it was BEYOND frustrating at times. Literally NONE of these people had common sense or self preservation. ESPECIALLY Violet. Just a smidge of discernment would've saved her so much trouble. Usually I can put myself into a character's shoes and at least attempt to understand where they're coming from, but at very few points could I do that with Violet. I swear she made decisions just out of nowhere. Like not even realistic worst case scenarios. No, she got creative. 🤣 I liked Knight, but he was annoying at times. I feel like there was too much time between their dual povs so I tended to be confused when he came back into the picture. I almost forgot it was dual POV at times. I feel like the ending of the series is gonna be so obvious. I mean, we already have her father's name. How has she not put two and two together yet? I just want to find out what Knight was doing at the pond that night and who drugged Violet and why... I'm pretty sure I have the rest figured out. I'mma read the next book, for sure. But if the ending is stupid, I won't be able to recommend the series in good faith. But again, it doesn't have to be good to be enjoyable and this series (so far) is holding my interest and scratching an itch in my brain. So I'll stick with it.
There are so many inconsistencies in this book. In Book 1, her mom’s locket is lost in the pond and Violet only has a bracelet. In this one, she suddenly has the locket again—with a baby photo inside. Did I miss a magical retrieval scene? Also, she already asked Knight about his sketchy night at Seraphina’s in the first book, where he explained he was there to get help from her father to transfer the mansion to his name. But now she’s asking again—and this time he says it was to get his phone? Huh?
It’s pretty clear who Violet’s father is from the first book, and yet she’s completely clueless. And honestly, Arabella deserved her own reverse harem at this point—why not give her something? She’s always third-wheeling.
Violet remains the queen of doormats, while Knight’s still acting like an elitist jerk while masking his toxic behavior under the guise of being a brooding, misunderstood dark prince. He treats her like garbage, uses everyone around him, and somehow that’s supposed to be sexy?
Jewel’s whole plotline—why did she even want to get into the school? Still a mystery, apparently.
The best part of this book is that it gives you plenty to yell at. I’m only hanging on for the drama at this point.
Twisted Knight takes you deeper into all of the secrets, mystery, and dark happenings in the world of Green Hills Academy.
This town is full of people that appear to be on the top of the world with their wealth and the portrayal of the perfect families and life but the reality is that some of these families are evil incarnate and whatever it is that’s lurking in the shadows of this town seems to have their sights set on Violet.
Violet and Knight still don’t trust one another completely but they also aren’t as hateful to one another in the first book was more of a zealous physical connection between them and in Twisted Knight they seem to begin a build up of a more emotional connection.
The twists and turns in this series is addicting, this town full of residents that appear to have it all but it’s nothing but smoke and mirrors as the town is riddled with evil. Violet and Knight are on a path of finding the answers they both need in order to find peace but as they uncover some mysteries they end up with more questions.
I’m really looking forward to book 3 for more twists and turns but mostly I need answers to this addictive story.
Hawt sex and more insane decisions, trust issues, and waffling back and forth over motive, guilt and honesty. Violet is still just letting things happen and coming up with no plan. There is evil monologues telling the "victim" all the bad things they have done and why. At least in this one there is some attempt to record but even that had some plot holes.
There were a couple of times that Violet had a locket on in this book that I though was her mom's but she said it wasn't on her mom's neck and it never came up how she might have found it so I was really, really confused about that and kept waiting for the information to clear it all up. Never came.
This middle book of the trilogy answers some questions but leaves even more in their wake. Violet is thrust into a world of money that she is finding difficult to navigate. Who to trust is even harder. Knight runs hot and cold but she cant help to be drawn to him. Seriphina is suddenly nice to her but not at the same time. Seriphina's mother comes into the picture too, making Violet feel morecomfortable and miss her own mother even more. We get to see more of Knight's point of view in this as well. I still have mixed feelings about his actions but understand him more. The truth he is determined to discover is so twisted around lies that so many people may suffer before they are revealed, including Knight and Violet. I cant wait to see how everything plays out.
This MFC is so flip floppy. In one page she is happy then doesn't trust MMC... Moves in moves out then changed mind and then doesn't trust him because he wants to cuddle. It's all over the place. She's determined to blame him for everything and it was old and (I thought) resolved book one. Nope. Still going on. I'm powering through just for answers, but she's lost any of my interest thanks to being SO juvenile and using the everyone's against me SO MUCH.
I just finished reading this...again. It is amazing and I want the last book like yesterday!! Knight can be so (choose most any word) so I hate him/love him. The plot is getting more twisted. I’ve given up thinking I know where it is headed, but it feels like enemies will be friends and friends might be the worst ever. I need to know, lol. Read it - you’ll want to read the first book and this one more than once cause so much happens.
This is book two in the Green Hills Academy trilogy; please be sure to read book one, Savage Devil before reading this book. This book also ends on a wtf cliffhanger, so be prepared.
With Violet not knowing what to make of Knight and his hot and cold demeanor, she is left wondering if he is truly the Devil everyone claims he is. This story is so intriguing and I look forward to the conclusion in book three, Broken King.
Okay I had the same feelings for this book as I did with the first one: everything about the book annoyings the fuck out of me, yet I want to know what happens at the end. Why are the MCs so shallow? Also no teen act like them. Usually I eat books like this up but they’re so fucking annoying. I really want to know what goes through the authors head man. Also Ava? She’s 6. 6! No 6 year old would talk or act like she does goddamnit
A carry on from savage devil. Again not mich happens. We come to learn violet is the daughter of a very rich person and she is being used for something. Knights walls are starting to crumble. Arabella is a ride or die and of corse queen bitch is still exactly that. Let's see whT the third installment brings for the wrap up. It's a teenage angst novel not much spice. It's a beginner book for erotica
I really wanted to like this book but I couldn't...Violet was dumber than a box of rocks. The way she kept say Knight was using her for sex when really it was the other way around.. Then she wanted him to open up but would push him away when he tried. Her friend was also dumb..Every time somebody get killed the friend think it's Knight and Violet go with it without having any type of proof and then distances herself from Knight. And her aunt is nowhere to be found at all the whole book

Way to leave me hanging with ANOTHER cliffhanger...
This one had all the twists I would expect, the darkness I wanted and left me with more questions. This one reminds you that NO ONE is who they seem, you have to keep your eyes open and pay attention to detail. The Author has done a great job making me feel invested in this series and longing for more.
This series gets better and better! I love all the intrigue and excitement this book brings. I also approve of then speed with which Knight and Violet’s story is going. I adore Arabella and think she deserves a love story of her own. I can’t wait to read the next book.
Started and completed in less than a day!! I could not stop reading... knight makes you want to love him, slap him and then love him some more!! Cannot wait for the next book to see what happens with violet and knight.
I have read the first book in this series and love reading this one too! I was drawn in to the story and could not put it down till the end which ends in a cliff hanger. I look forward to reading the next book and I recommend this book !!!!!
I get it...and later I don’t get it. It feels like the theme in the story of Violet and Knight. There are so many twists to the story that you get dizzy. And I love it! I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book
It’s about to all come out! Can Violet finally found out her father is Jack Franklin, the man who discovered the cancer drug!!! That is what I have been waiting for! I also hope seraphina and her mom burn in the pits of fire lol.
Well this book and the first one have been amazing but I kind of think I know who her Dad is and why they are after her. How stupid is Crystal when 2 people know where she went ? Let’s see what book 3 brings
