Can love truly conquer all? Or will these four brides watch their chances at a happily ever after slip through their fingers?

When Danny Frederick follows the traveling circus to Bear Creek, he's looking for nothing more than his big break as a journalist. As he struggles to make a dent in the icy exterior of the townspeople he wonders if his efforts will be wasted--then he meets Matilda, and everything changes.

From the moment they meet Danny finds himself entranced by her ambition, and Matilda is captured by his passion and determination. But life in Bear Creek is difficult for outsiders and despite the attraction, their blossoming romance could end in tragedy.

How can Danny choose between the chance at love and his life's dream? Will Matilda lose her independence if she admits how she feels?

Grace Cranfield dreams of freedom from high-society and the suitors her parents push onto her. When all seems lost, she finds a chance at hope when she spots an ad in the church from a Montana rancher looking for a wife.

Left alone after the sudden deaths of his brothers, Malcolm Wilson longs for someone to help build a new life from the rubble of his old one. Grace is charming and kind, and as sparks fly she finds herself on a train speeding towards a new home, but also a world like nothing she's ever known.

Will Grace be able to find a place in this new world and discover who she truly is? More importantly, will she survive long enough to get the chance?

All Mayme Ruble wants is to feel like she belongs. When she comes across an ad from a farmer looking for a wife, she feels a glimmer of hope--a chance to start over and maybe even find love.

Thomas Harris has spent most of his life running his farm, and now it's time for him to marry. Mayme's kind, honest response strikes a chord with him and there is instant chemistry. She leaves her hometown with tentative optimism that a new chapter in her life is about to begin.

Despite Thomas' warmth and the welcoming townspeople, Mayme struggles to shed her self-consciousness. All seems well, until disaster strikes in Bear Creek and Mayme is forced to make a decision: will she step up and be the woman she hopes to become? Or will she lose this chance at happiness once and for all?

When Rachel Maxwell discovers that her home - and her hand in marriage - have been sold to notorious poker player, Salis Dangerfield, her world is thrown into turmoil. Despite the stories swirling around town, Rachel has no plans to give in easily.

Salis is a ruthless businessman and highroller. But right now, he's just a man in search of a safe haven. Faced with distrust from both his wife and the locals, it seems as though he and his young sister will never find their footing in Bear Creek.

Rachel soon discovers the kind man behind the facade and Salis thinks he may have finally found the peace he's been looking for.

Will Salis be able to overcome his demons? Can he and Rachel find a way to be together even when the whole world is against them?

In Bear Creek Brides: Books 9-12, you will discover four captivating stories of vulnerability, danger, and determination as these four brides navigate peril and heartache to hold onto the chance for true love.

I am a shameless romance addict with no intentions of ever kicking the habit. Growing up I dreamed of entertaining people and taking them on fantastical journeys with my acting abilities, until I came to the realization as a college sophomore that I had none to speak of. Another ten years would pass before I discovered a different means to accomplishing the same dream: writing stories of love and passion for addicts just like me.I have always loved romance stories and I try to tie all the elements I like about them into my writing.

Good stories, clean romances!

I've read all 12 stories: enjoyed mody of these stories. From bear attacks to bandits to tornadoes, most of the stories have some danger in them. A couple of the stories had the characters thinking more than doing at times or the author would explain things needlessly. Otherwise I thoroughly enjoyed the series. Although this series says mail-order brides, the last book doesn't have a mail order bride. The heroine's dad gives her intended beau a letter, giving her to him. Only one other book doesn't have the heroine as a mail order bride, though an unknown "bride" does show up, expecting to marry the hero. I look forward to reading more books by this author

Great read!

Very interesting to erase of the period that my grandmother, born in 1890, lived in. Although she was not from Montana, she was raised in the rural South and I know times were very tough. One of 4 girls and 2 son, she was not allowed to go to school because she didn’t need to know those things that were reserved for sons only. My, how times have changed and how they haven’t, really. Although liberated by laws, women are still second class citizens, in most respects. This author beautifully portrays women as smart and brave and very capable.

Good storylines

Roses romance scenarios in all 12 books, were good. But she wrote about an era she knew nothing about. I don't think these books were ever edited nor was there any fact checking done. Some things were so off the wall that they were hilarious. Like exercising the cattle to keep them warm, in 30 degree weather.

Happy times in a western community

I enjoyed the depth of characters that learned to help each other and live and work together. Wise council for all of us. Fear is just the unknown. Fear breads all kinds of dishonorable emotions. One we understand, then life can be full and rich like this story.

Love and excitement

Some of the books are straight romance no bad guys. The last book was the way to go to end this group of books. A strong stubborn woman, a man who thinks he can have what he wants just by flashing money. You know by? Now that money doesn't talk in Bear Creek. Read the set of books for love, God, overcome struggles

This series is somewhat similar to Linda bride's series I think, however it does have its own wonderful contents and definitely more than a goodread in itself! And yes, I do wish this series to continue. Bear creek sounds dreamy and very ideal. Will this ideal continue?

Great series! The audio, however, ugh. I did not like the narrator due to mispronounced words. The stories however are fantastic!
