This memoir conveys my experience as a second-generation Italian American growing up in North Denver in a restrictive Roman Catholic culture and how that warps childhood development. Casting off that restrictive guilt-ridden environment led me to discover, mid-life, I had been born a homosexual. I found sanity in the LGBTQ/gay community which has led me to a new understanding of religion, faith and god.
