Free of the curse that killed his family and cured of the condition that was slowly draining the life from him, Dan's life would be perfect except for one last problem that he needs to take care of once and for all: The Mage Weson who is still trying to kill Dan, his women, and take over Sacramento. The city that Dan and his girls all agree now rightfully belongs to him.
Of course there are a few people who might feel differently about this, like the Mage Wiles, and then there's the small problem of being banished, but none of that really matters. All that matters is Dan is finally starting to realize just who and what he is. And just what that means.
He may not have been born a demon, but he's become a very quick study at all that it means to be one!
WARNING: (Is it really a warning if I'm telling you what you want to hear? Hmm, good question that, but well, there's always the chance you came here without reading the first three books. Hey wait! You didn't read the first three books?! Shame on you! Go read them!) And for the rest of you, this books is, like the rest, full of all sorts of kinky demonic sex, raunchy people, doing raunchy things, and enjoying it! Sex! Violence! Threesomes, Foursomes, Fivesomes! (what comes after five?) and lots of hot demon girls.
I'm new to the Harem / LitRPG thing (If I'd known more about LitRPG when I wrote Shadow, I might have incorporated more elements of that into it). I have a FT job, so I work on this when I can. Hopefully the next one will be even better. https://stryvant.blogspot.com/
That wrapped up nicely I'm used to authors in this genre writing never ending sagas that go on and on and never finish. So imagine my surprise when this series had a satisfying conclusion in four books. This ending feels right, and to have taken longer would have felt like padding it out or stringing the reader along to sell more books. My over all impression is that this series isn't as charming as the Valen's Legacy but shares many similarities with it. (over powered MC with a semi-divine heritage and penchant for furry kink takes over from corrupt mages. Sound familiar?) This mostly feels like an earlier work or first series that went unpublished. A demo tape that shows more future promise than actually rocking itself. One way this series can be seen as better is it's compact nature. Smaller in scope and scale, this one is way more manageable and it's easier to keep track of the characters. If you love everything else by Jan Stryvant and want more, lower your expectations a degree or two and enjoy this short romp.
Fantasy harem adult situations Daniel and his five wives deal with several challenges, including banishment, sending each them to different worlds, forcing to travel great distances to reunite. I don't want to say too much else because if you read the first three books, I don't want to spoil the surprises ahead.
Jan Stryvant knows how to tell a story. A bit over the top at times, but never in an overt, mocking, or derisive manner. All throughout the series there was extensive world-building and the characters were fun. I enjoyed it, including the banter. Perhaps especially the banter. Recommended.
The wait was over and it didn’t disappoint. It was interesting to see Dan’s progression (for better or worse). He’s not evil, but he does walk that line a bit here and there. Particularly towards the end. As usual, his wives were always fun to read about. I’m also glad he finally scored with the harpy, Estaca as well as Tig.
I have to admit, the action scenes were a bit of a blur, but as long as the antagonists get their comeuppance, that’s what matters. Whenever possible, Dan was merciful.
All in all, I’m glad it ended the way it did. If you got this far in the series, you won’t be disappointed.
This last book in the series was an awesome ending. It has a lot of action a lot of things explained and maybe left a little bit for maybe something later on but not at this time. I like the interaction of the characters that they have with each other and everything seemed pretty straightforward and explained well in order to show a good story. Everything the author writes is very very good and of course the erotic love scenes are very well done and kind of go with the story since you know they are demons and actually love each other.
This is the last book in the series. I liked the series but not a lot happened in this book. I was hoping for some more magic, some more action, some more suspense. This series wasn't as good as this author's previous works but I still had fun reading.
I wasn't quite sure of what I was getting into with Jans books. I thought it might be a take off on Inferno & Return to Hell. They weren't! So I was pleasantly surprised with the stories. I enjoyed the read. My biggest complaint and disappointment was that the tale ended at book four! I'm kind of hoping that Jan will pick up the story and expand on it.....a lot! Would love to see more of the ladies stories, and his best friend & his demon girlfriend. Thanks for the many hours of entertainment!
Sadly, this is the last book of this great series. Dan knows who he is, and what he is. And after ending the curse and saving his life from the demon blood that was slowly killing him, it's finally time to settle his affairs. Weson needs to be killed and his city saved from all the fighting between the wizards trying to take over. It's time to show his true strength and show everyone who's the boss of this city.
The series is a five stars series but this book was amazing until the last couple chapters. The way it ended was rushed and the story felt like it at the end. I know all things come to an end but a half demon god with five demon wives has so many plots and places to go and to end it in Sacramento….feels small and the series was anything but small. Just disappointed!
I enjoyed the series and was really looking forward to the next book. The ending was kind of abrupt, but looking back, I can understand why it was ended where it was. I guess I was just hoping for the story to go on and to continue some of the storylines. There are a few parts of the story that are just left up in the air with no real ending so I was hoping those threads would be finished up. The author states in the afterword that the series is completed, but it open to adding another book to it at some point in the future and I’m hoping he does to clean up some of the loose ends. Now I’m looking forward to see what’s next.
Jan Stryvant has again successfully authored a well conceived, written and executed series. Multidimensional characters, excellent dialogue, fast paced action that holds your interest. The adult action serves the story and flows with it and isn't stuffed in for titillation. I enjoyed this series very much and recommend it and the rest of the author's work!
Gives off the same vibe as the valens legacy. Just wished the story was longer. However, its conclusion wasn't bad and it does leave it open for more sequels. Hopefully, it would also expand the lore of the world that Dan lives in like stryvant's other works.
It has the expected shape, a consistent (bland) quality, and the first taste matches the last. There are also some ragged edges and loose bits that slipped through. And, once you start it is hard to stop. It isn't bad, nor great. It is mediocre with an impressive consistency. If the first ten pages hook you then you will read the entire series.
This is a great conclusion to the series. I feel that the progression of the story as well as the climax and conclusion of the series is very well done and natural. It doesn't feel like it is being forced into being a longer book or series and it is highly enjoyable throughout. Definitely looking forward to the next book or story from Jen
For the last book in a story arc I really enjoyed it. The pace picked up with blockers removed in short order as the story neared its conclusion. I enjoyed the characters although by the end it felt as if Dan was having trouble not believing his own hype as he got stronger. Warning, there may be cannibalism in this book.
The author does an excellent job creating and developing the characters, their powers, and their background throughout the story. Very happy I got the chance to read this series. It would be wonderful if the author continued it because there are so many more possibilities for further stories.
When I first began reading this series, I thought that because of its complexity, it would run longer than four books. The author takes the same action that used in the Valens legacy and condenses it into an amazing story experience
A real good book. To bad its the last in the series for now. This is the 2nd series I've read by this author. Both are very interesting. Can't wait to see what comes next.
Followed this series from book one an I've loved all of them. This whole story has a lot of the character and charm that made the Valens Legacy such a fun series. This is a great short series and if love to see more in this world and with Dan and the girls.
Great series. As expected Jan wrote another great series. He has the ability to flesh out his characters as the series progressed and he makes them real, likable and the villains people you want to kill. I look forward to his next book
This absolutely would have 5 stars of it wasn't such an abrupt ending. If the where one of two more chapters to finish out this book; like many a little more of the after action, possibly a little on his new life.
See what I did there? Yep. Definitely a great action filled and funny ending to a fun series. If you have followed the series this far then you definitely have to read this book. Recommended (17+)
I enjoyed the series. The only real qualm I had with it is that the Mc is an extreme mix of op and underpowered as well as intelligence and dumb. He also grows in power really fast and sudden
Dan's back with more magic and romping. Fair warning, there are numerous, explicit sex scenes. Overall, this is a fitting conclusion to the series. Nothing unexpected at the outcome but still a fun, if sexually explicit, yet juvenile series.
As always the author carries the theme out in a very interesting and captivating manner. The action is nonstop, keeping your interest going and believable. Good job, good series.
Very similar story to her other books but when you write about harems there's not much variety but I love this genre because of Jan. The book wrapped up the series pretty quick but it was fairly satisfying. A little bit of action and a little bit of -action-.
I enjoyed this series. I like monster harem books for some reason. Regular is meh but Jan has a talent for coming of age stories. Read his stuff. His work speaks for itself.
This is a fantastic series with really great lore, world building, and characters I cannot recommend it enough! The story is action packed and fun as hell!
