Rancher Marshall Walker isn’t looking for a woman—not permanently, anyway. He’s plenty busy raising beautiful Walker paint horses that are in high demand across Texas. But when his sister’s gorgeous friend arrives for an extended visit, he’s not opposed to exploring what could happen. He knows his heart is safe—Jaclyn Carson is a city girl, and he’s country through and through.
Jaclyn isn’t looking for a man, either. Owner and CEO of her own makeup company, she doesn’t have any desire to relax or slow down. With her condo under extensive renovations, she takes up her friend’s offer to stay at her family’s Texas ranch. Jaclyn’s more than a little curious to catch a glimpse of her not-so-secret college crush, and Marshall is hotter than ever. And his proposition—a steamy but very temporary affair—sounds like a fantasy come true.
What happens when two opposites fall in love? Can they meet in the middle or will they go their separate ways, even if it means breaking their hearts?

I received an arc of Texas Made by Eve Gaddy from Tule Publishing in exchange for an honest review. This is the third book in the Texas True series about the Walker siblings. This book and the series so far have been so compelling to read. This book features Marshall Walker, who works with his sister Damaris raising Paint horses on the family’s Texas ranch. We met Marshall in the prior books and also learned about the ranch.
One of Damaris’s friends from college, Jaclyn Carson, comes to stay in the guest cottage while her condo in Dallas is being remodeled. She is a city girl, owner of a makeup company. She has always had a crush on Marshall since she first met him years earlier. Marshall thought of her as off limits but was always attracted to her as well. Jaclyn set herself up to work remotely with her staff checking in with her often. Damaris includes Jaclyn in family dinners, girls nights and tries to set her up with Marshall.
Marshall ends up asking Jaclyn to a charity function gala in town where they dance and have a wonderful evening together. They decide to go back to her cottage and decide to begin a no strings relationship. They agree they don’t just want a one night stand as they feel the chemistry between them. However, they realize she will be leaving to return to Dallas as soon as her condo is ready. They know that Marshall will be staying on the ranch so there is an end date eventually. The two start spending a lot of time together and share secrets with each other. Both realize how strongly they feel about each other and start to worry about what will happen when Jaclyn leaves.
I really enjoyed this book and the characters a lot. Eve does a great job including the reader in watching the story unfold and sharing all the angst and feelings the characters experience for each other. I am becoming very fond of the Walker family and their significant others. I am happy to see the people we met in the earlier books return and more of the background shared in each subsequent story. I give this 5 stars for an excellent book.
This is the absorbing love story of a city girl and a country boy. Jaclyn owns a thriving makeup company in Dallas, Texas. Marshall is part owner of the family ranch in Whiskey River, Texas. Neither of them have the ability to re-locate. Yet that doesn’t stop them from falling in love.
Jaclyn went to college with Marshall’s sister and had visited the family ranch many times. At the time she had a crush on Marshall, but he felt she was too young. However, years later, Jaclyn temporarily moves to the ranch while her house is being worked on. Since she is now an adult, Marshall feels free to act on their mutual attraction.
Jaclyn and Marshall begin a “temporary” affair which quickly grows into exciting and passionate love. Their relationship is very steamy and romantic, but, unfortunately a long-distance one.
This very busy couple must overcome a lot of obstacles before they are able to find their “happy ever after.” However, they have very close family members and friends who are rooting for them.
It is wonderful to see many of the characters from the first two novels in this series. I am very excited thinking about the other interesting characters in this book, who will hopefully get their own stories very soon.
This is the third book in the Texas True series. I love a good second chance read and one that is also an older woman younger man as well. So many great things in Jaclyn and Marshall's story. The author kept my attention the entire book by not only giving us interesting facts about this couple but also we are given little tidbits here and there about the Lone Star State that rock my world and tickle my fancy. It has me wanting to go out and find Last Stand and Whisky River although they really don't exist in the wild. It was fun to see some of the characters from past books pop I and say hello as well. Always good when that happens.
What a great addition to this series. Marshall and Jaclyn had so much chemistry together. They lived different lives and in different places and long distance was going to be too hard. They had a fling! Sometimes flings start to make you feel too much and then you have to make a choice. What choice will that be? Great read from beginning to end. I voluntarily reviewed this book in exchange for an honest review.
Texas Made is the third book in the Texas True series by author Eve Gaddy. Of the three books thus far, this one was my least favorite. The writing is great and and the painted picture of the Walker ranch was just perfect. The characters were all likable and the story had a good pace. My only issue was the story itself. There really wasn't much to it. The entire book focused only on the growing relationship between Marshall and Jaclyn and how they could make it work. There wasn't much angst and the story was very predictable. And a bit boring at times. It may sound like I'm complaining and I'm sorry for that. I did enjoy the book overall and am looking forward for the next Walker sibling's story. I was just expecting more of a conflict. I have read so many books by this author and enjoyed them. And I definitely recommend this book if you're looking for a romance with a good pace, talented writing, little to no angst with a simple plot.
While I received an advanced reading copy of Texas Made, this is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you for taking the time to read it. :)
Great addition to the Texas True series!! Caused me some angst I didn’t think city gal Jaclyn (even her name says CITY) and country guy Marshall could ever find their HEA, even though the chemistry between them could set off fireworks. This one gave me another peek at Damaris’s cute sneaky side, I so enjoyed her in earlier part of series, I think you would to. I was given an advance reader’s copy of this book in exchange for my review.
Loved Jaclyn & Marshall. I enjoyed how Jaclyn took the steps to make Marshall see that they had great chemistry together. I also enjoyed how she set out to seduce him into her bed while she stayed at the ranch. What neither saw coming was love. Long distance didn’t work in an earlier relationship that Jaclyn had, so she was sure it wouldn’t work out with Marshall. I loved how both of them worked to come up with ways to stay together but that it was Jaclyn to make the move to Whiskey River & start a new division of her company there. As always author Eve Gaddy grabs us with the heat & connection her characters always have & keeps us glued to the pages as their relationship ups & downs unfold. Definitely recommend. Thank you to author Eve Gaddy & Tule publishing for letting me read this book for an honest review.
Jaclyn is a city girl through and through. When she was in college, she had a crush on her friend Damaris's brother, Marshall. Years later, she didn't expect to have a fling with him when she stayed at their ranch, while her condo in Dallas was being remodeled. By the time Jaclyn was ready to leave Whiskey River and head back home, she and Marshall had fallen for each other. Jaclyn was ready to put an end to what they started. She was leery of long distance relationships. She tried it in the past and it didn't work out. But, Marshall wasn’t ready to end what they started. He will do anything to change Jaclyn’s mind even if it meant driving hours to see each other.
This book is a great addition to the Texas True series. Along with Jaclyn and Marshall’s story, I enjoyed catching up with the other characters from previous books in this series. I would recommend reading this series in order.
I voluntarily read a advanced reader's copy of this book for a honest opinion
A great addition to the Texas True series. Texas Made by Even Gaddy. I enjoyed everything about this book. A possible romance that I would recommend but you should read the books in order so you will know the back story.
A city girl and a rancher, sounds like too far opposite to make it work but the two characters fit so well together and build such a sweet relationship. I really loved Marshall and Jaclyn’s story of love, compromise and respect. All the other characters are interesting as well and it really leaves you wanting more in the series
Texas True, Book 3 Texas Made by Eve Gaddy When pure country meets pure city… Rancher Marshall Walker isn’t looking for a woman—not permanently, anyway. He’s plenty busy raising beautiful Walker paint horses that are in high demand across Texas. But when his sister’s gorgeous friend arrives for an extended visit, he’s not opposed to exploring what could happen. And his proposition—a steamy but very temporary affair—sounds like a fantasy come true. What happens when two opposites fall in love? Can they meet in the middle or will they go their separate ways, even if it means breaking their hearts? This is Jaclyn Carson and Marshall Walker's story. “Here she comes now. Be nice,” Damaris said. “Jaclyn, you remember Marshall, don’t you?” He kind of hoped she wasn’t as pretty as he remembered since he didn’t need the distraction. Then he turned around and saw her. She wasn’t pretty. She was gorgeous. Long, tousled blonde hair, clear green eyes set under dark brows and lashes, a perfect nose, and the most luscious, kissable lips he’d ever seen, painted as red as her Corvette. “Of course. Hello, Marshall. Marshall Walker might drive a 4X4 Dodge Ram pickup truck but he’d fantasized about having a Corvette more times than he could count. In front of the cottage that was back behind the barn on the Walker ranch sat a fire-engine red beauty, in perfect condition, and he’d bet it ran like a fire on steroids. It sure didn’t belong to their new ranch manager, Ella Slade. She drove an older model pickup. Plus, she’d moved out of the cottage recently to live with his brother Chase at the big house until their own house was finished. “Whose red Corvette is parked by the cottage?” Marshall asked his sister Damaris, who was grooming her mare, Cinnamon. Damaris looked at him over the mare’s back. “Oh, that’s Jaclyn’s. I told you she was going to stay with us for a while, didn’t I?” Texas Made by Eve Gaddy is a 3 star book. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book.
I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it.
This was a wonderful addition to the series. I have adored the prior two stories and was looking forward to Marshall's. I was not disappointed. While this is a part of the Walker siblings series, you really don't have to read the prior ones to fully understand this one. The prior couples do appear several times throughout but this story could stand alone. I would highly recommend reading the prior stories though as they are wonderful stories themselves.
This story was a solid one. I was disappointed to see the ending as it was like saying good-bye to friends. Marshall is a stead-fast and loyal brother who with the help of his younger sister raises paint horses on the family ranch near Whiskey River (I really want to move there!) Jaclyn comes to visit her friend while her home is being renovated. Jaclyn has had a crush on Marshall since she was 19. Marshall liked Jaclyn but at 25, he considered himself too old for the teenager. Now that Jaclyn is older the age difference doesn't seem to matter too much. The only problem, Jaclyn lives in Dallas and she is owner of a successful make-up company Meanwhile Marshall would never leave the ranch. Can these two come together and make a successful union between them while living quite a distance from each other? Or will one decide that love is worth the sacrifice of relocation?
I loved the fact that this was written in a dual POV format. Also the chapters contained both POV so you didn't have to wait to long to read the other person's thoughts.
This is a very sexy read that I could only recommend to someone over the age of 18.
Texas Made by Eve Gaddy, book three in her Texas True series, is the love story of a city girl and a country boy. Neither of them have the ability to re-locate; but that doesn’t stop them from falling in love. Jaclyn went to college with Marshall’s sister, Damaris, had visited the family ranch many times, and crushed on Marshall; who felt she was too young. Years later, Jaclyn temporarily moves to the ranch while her house is being worked on. Jaclyn owns a thriving makeup company in Dallas, Texas. Marshall is part owner of the family ranch in Whiskey River, Texas, and that magnetic attraction is still there. Jaclyn and Marshall begin a temporary affair which quickly grows into exciting and passionate love. Their relationship is very steamy and romantic, but, unfortunately a long-distance one. This very busy couple must overcome many obstacles, distance included, before they are able to find their happy ever after.
Ms Gaddy wrote a wonderfully, sizzling and emotional story that is definitely not to be missed. She provided a tale rich with off the charts, sizzling chemistry, intense emotions, and charming secondary characters rooting for Jaclyn and Marshall and their chance for love and a future they desire. I highly recommend Texas Made to other readers and look forward to the next book in this series.

In this third book in the series, we are back in Texas with the Walker siblings. This time the story belongs to rancher Marshall Walker. Marshall loves the land, the horses and the homestead. But when his youngest sister’s friend from her days in college comes to stay for a few weeks, he suddenly realizes there is more to life than the ranch. He still remembers the kiss they share years ago. But she was too young then . Jaclyn Carson , nowadays owner of a very successful make up business, needs time away while her condo is being worked on. The moment she sees Marshall, the old sparks ignite. What was to be a fling while she was at the ranch has become more series. But what happens when these two individuals are faced with the fact that one lives in the city and the other has his life in the ranch? Will that be the end of their budding romance, or will they find a way to make the long distance work? This story was a good addition to the series. I am looking forward to the next book in the series. I was entrusted a copy of this book by Tule Publishing. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Jaclyn accepts Damaris's invitation to stay at her family's ranch and work remotely while her condo is being renovated. When Jaclyn sees Damaris's brother Marshall, she doesn't expect to have the same attraction that she did when she was in college. Marshall has always been attracted to Jaclyn, but before she was too young. With Jaclyn a CEO of a cosmetics company in Dallas and Marshall a horse breeder, there can be nothing permanent. Maybe, they can have a fling. I received a free copy of this ebook from the author. This is my honest and voluntarily given review. There is plenty of sizzle and steam in this book, but it's not gratuitous. I liked that Marshall and Jaclyn were willing to work to make their romance work. I also like how supportive Damaris was of their relationship. I really like this romance between the city CEO and the rancher.
Eve Gaddy ‘s Texas Made (Texas True #3) is the third Walker sibling to receive their story. This time it is Marshall Walker who primary interest in life is the raising of the Walker paint horses. Then his sister’s close friend, Jaclyn Carson arrives for an extended visit. Turns out this is not only a city girl, country boy story it is also a crush on my friend’s older brother.
With engaging characters, a sound believable plot and the Texas landscape of horses and ranches this is one enjoyable story. The supporting characters were wonderful to see again, like a visit with friends. As the story progresses, Marshall and Jaclyn are not thinking that anything permanent can happen between them but find love is worth the effort. What a lovely read.
An ARC of the book was given to me by Tule Publishing which I voluntarily chose to read and reviewed. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
This is the third book in this series and I have to say that it has been my least favourite so far It was just a story that was a fun read but there was no fireworks or drama to take it from a fun read to a great read
Jaclyn Carson is a city girl but that didn't stop her from having a crush on her best friend country brother as she was growing up Now needing a place to stay while her city apartment is renovated she takes up the offer to stay at the Walker ranch and if she gets to reconnect with Marshall Walker that's a bonus what she didn't expect was him to offer a no strings attached fling but when it grows into more can a country boy and a city girl find common ground You will have to read to see
Meet the rancher and the business owner, two individual people with careers world apart, and making a long distance relationship work is not easy. But then laws of attraction knows no boundaries and love is not defined to any limitations and it's up to Marshall Walker and Jacylin Carson to work on the important things to be together.
"Texas Made" is just not a love story, it is also a story of patience and understanding, overcoming hurdles and fighting insecurities, being apart and realizing the importance of being together, compromising on things and giving value to each other's feelings and goals.
And it's always a pleasure to touch base with the Kelley Brothers ;)
Received an ARC from Tule Publishing for an honest review
This review is for the audiobook. I hate to say that this was a DNF for me. This narrator reading the MMC parts of the book.did not work at all imho, or at least not for me.
She had this whispery tone going on when reading both parts. The MMC voice was very bland. I think the narrator was going for a sultry voice for both the MMC and the FMC. It was sometimes hard for me to distinguish one female from another, which made it difficult to keep track of the story. It was kind of irritating. I did not have that experience with the first two books.
I was eager to read Marshall's story, but the effort required was more than I was willing to invest at the time.
There was plenty to like about Texas Made including the characters, the location in the fictional town of Whiskey River and the family dynamic between Marshall and his siblings. This is a sexy romance with plenty of action between the sheets. Marshall and Jaclyn certainly drove this story, which will definitely appeal if you like plenty of action between the sheets. Personally I found the characters rather flat and hard to connect with emotionally. I wanted to like them but there wasn’t a lot for me to connect with.
Jaclyn lives in Dallas. She is a city girl all the way. She goes to Whiskey River to stay with her college friend while her condo is being redone. That's when she sees her college crush. Sparks fly between her and Marshall. They agree on a fling while she is in town. What could go wrong? What happens when a city girl leaves her heart in the country? A better question would be how far will said cowboy go to get his girl? Great read!
A lively and hot relationship grows between a city girl and a country boy and deepens with each kiss. As much as they love each other, the logistics of a long distance relationship is a huge problem with seemingly no solution. I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
Opposites attract for Jaclyn and Marshall. She is a city girl visiting the ranch and falls for her friends brother, but will they have a chance together?
I received an ARC of this book in exchange for a voluntary and honest review.
If you want something to happen then you have to make it happen, you just have to get over your fear of change and then every thing will fall into place - that's my takeaway from this boook
I received an advance copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving a review
Loved Marshall and Javlyn's story. It took them a while to workout all their issues with where they would live, but eventually they came to realise that they were meant for each other.
