Are you willing to save those who seek to destroy you?
Tempest traveled to the Firegrove and discovered he is The Aspect; however, the world does not work on the word of a secluded dryad queen, and the last thing the Iðnan Ruling Council wants is to give up their power.
Tempest must use his wits to survive the world of political espionage all while safeguarding himself from abductors, uprooting secret organizations, and defending the world from the growing threat of horrors that spawn from unknown planes.
While the burden of responsibility and loss weighs heavily on the man born to be its savior, he must lean on Riika, Ella, and a new band of allies and companions to defend the world from those who seek to destroy it.
This book contains harem elements and explicit content.
Annoying, are you trying to piss off the readers? Update:DNF Re-read in 2023.I got the rest of the series with the intention of starting again from book 1, Only to find I like this series even less the second time. There are several problems in this book. There are so many mixed messages. For example: The author signals that we are going into a dangerous situation/ expect violent betrayal, at the same time the author also signals the start of a sex scene. As a one off this could be an interesting device to create some weird mood, but it is NOT a one off. Almost the entire book is an Orange juice & Toothpaste cocktail of clashing signals. Joy, and Grief, and, lust, and disgust, and attraction, and shame are mixed in non-complementary combinations that trow off what little enjoyment I could wring out of this book. Maybe the author did it on purpose as a style thing? Maybe, But there are SO many other mistakes like "His eyes were full of determinism as he approached his challenge". There are dozens of those malapropisms are they just there for style too? But my absolute #1 pet peeve is the: "Go away, why did you leave me?" guilt trip bullshit. Naw- screw this book. And forget finishing the series. ========================== -from 2021- This book is disjointed and disorientating. From one chapter to the next you have no idea what's going on, or how we got from there to here. One character seem to change race from dwarf to lizard man for no reason. But the most infuriating thing of all is the gratuitous deaths Some bad writer choices are forgivable. Some are simple oversights and more lack of editing than choices. These were definitely choices and they pissed me off. If not for some interesting ideas and several clever scenes I would not be giving this book three stars.
The story is written real well this character development goes in directions that you would never think of that going. I enjoyed reading it. there is only a couple things I didn't like and that was people dying who I thought should not have died. This story is not a sweet story it's a story of political intrigue as well as horrific battles and transdimensional demons. Still I did like the story I really hope he writes more to see if there's any happy silver lining in the future.
A truly wonderful fantasy adventure, with an awesome adult fantasy intertwined through out!!! Awesome characters nd first rate interactions between all the primary and support characters throughout!!! More more more please
Really disappointed 😞 book 1 was awesome 👌. But this one started off 3 weeks later and you get thrown into a hot mess of confusion 😕 so I will DNF the rest of series.
yeah starting of a book with a 3 week timeskip and just saying "and they built a relationship" is dumb and then skipping the first time with ella to have a tree talk to itself ...........
