Enid Mary Blyton (1897–1968) was an English author of children's books.

Born in South London, Blyton was the eldest of three children, and showed an early interest in music and reading. She was educated at St. Christopher's School, Beckenham, and - having decided not to pursue her music - at Ipswich High School, where she trained as a kindergarten teacher. She taught for five years before her 1924 marriage to editor Hugh Pollock, with whom she had two daughters. This marriage ended in divorce, and Blyton remarried in 1943, to surgeon Kenneth Fraser Darrell Waters. She died in 1968, one year after her second husband.

Blyton was a prolific author of children's books, who penned an estimated 800 books over about 40 years. Her stories were often either children's adventure and mystery stories, or fantasies involving magic. Notable series include: The Famous Five, The Secret Seven, The Five Find-Outers, Noddy, The Wishing Chair, Mallory Towers, and St. Clare's.

According to the Index Translationum, Blyton was the fifth most popular author in the world in 2007, coming after Lenin but ahead of Shakespeare.

Wah aku terlambat mengetahui koleksi Enid Blyton tentang Petualangan Pohon Kelana Ajaib.

Ceritanya sederhana, khas anak-anak.

We're thrilled you explored "The Land of Do-As-You-Please" by Enid Blyton. This captivating tale teaches the importance of freedom and the joy of following your passions. It reminds us that having the liberty to do what we love is truly special, but it also shows the importance of balance and responsibility in our choices.

A new idea you learned is that while it's wonderful to have the freedom to pursue your interests, it's also important to consider how our actions affect others and ourselves in the long term. You can use this lesson by enjoying your freedom to play, learn, and explore, while also being mindful of your duties and the feelings of those around you.

Keep embracing your freedom with responsibility, Qamar. Your ability to balance fun and duty will lead you to many rewarding adventures.

Love,
Mom and Dad

I loved Enid Blyton as a kid so was thrilled when I started picking up these early reader editions of the Faraway Tree. Often with the early chapter books Miss 3 just wants to hear them once but we've read 'The Land of Magic Medicines' and 'The Land of Do-As-You-Please' three times each in a week!

Miss 3 and I like to explore different books at the library and try to get different ones out every week or so; it's fun for both of us to have the variety and to look at a mix of new & favourite authors.

I liked everything in this book. There was super fun and you could do anything you wanted. My favourite part was when Joe drove the train like a real train driver. And Frannie wished for an elephant ride, which made me laugh because the elephant was HUGE and she looked tiny on it.

If I could go there, I think I would wish for a giant robot that gives me rides and shoots out ice cream that would be awesome!

Tapi worth it buat anak-anak.
