Hi, so excited about being on Goodreads and sharing my Middle School books with you! I live in beautiful Noosa, in Australia. For most of my life I was a teacher of Middle School kids, and what an awesome experience that was. It gave me the opportunity to understand the problems that kids go through.
My writing partners are Kaz and Bill Campbell, they were also Middle School Teachers.
We hope you enjoy our books as much as we love writing them for you!!!

As can be noted from the title Alexa has run away by herself. She knows of a place she can seek shelter at least for a while but there's a major storm which results in even more trouble for her. It becomes a question of her very survival. At the same time her mother is looking for her, knowing that if Alexa escapes her then the money she's getting for child-support will be cut in half.

At the same time there's also the sort-of-romantic relationships going on with other girls and guys at the school. There's some busking, singing, guitar-playing and does he like me or not things happening.

Then there's the question of child support services, whether or not they will actually help Alexa get away from her mother or whether they will decide she has to return to her mother and the guy hanging out with her.

It looks like there might be some hope for Alexa. Might be.

Great book

Great! Full of excitement, and perfect for tweens. I love the plot twists. Short and sweet, although it could be longer. Can't wait for the next one!
