There are over 49 sections as per Indian Law where in a case can be registered without investigation, and it takes years to get a verdict in the courtroom, by the time the man if innocent has already lost his dignity, family and career. The book takes you on a journey of hitherto untold truths behind the drama when such fake cases are filed, about how the Law which was made to safeguard all behaves like a jealous mistress. Women protective laws were made to safeguard the women from age-old oppression, but these laws were made when women were mere house dwellers confined to the four walls of their homes and unable to voice their plights, but as times changed the modern woman of today has achieved equal if not a superior status with the men in their lives, their abilities and responses have also developed multifold. But the Law hasn’t imbibed this change in scenario where the hunted can also become the hunter, and this provides the perfect hotbed for a premeditated conspiracy to exact revenge on a spouse and also to render irrevocable damage to his survival and financial security, the author has given voice to the muted stories which never caught attention in the social dogma that domestic violence is all about women at the hands of men, there has to be a shift, Law has to be inclusive and it’s high time that we acknowledge the need to rethink and amend it accordingly so it wouldn’t be misused, or the very Law that protects shall become the noose around the necks of the unassuming Innocents.
I had started my career as a production scheduler with a leading production house and therefore gained great insight into the art of story writing and intriguing plot creations. Later, I started my own venture as an entrepreneur and was immensely successful in it. After that, I decided to pen down my thoughts in a way that one cannot have enough of reading. The success of my second book inspired me to carry forward my writing with ‘Men on DV’
Quite recently, I heard the news of sad demise of my favourite journalist Vikas Sharma. And what shook me more was the way it was termed as natural death projecting it as a rare case of situation going out of control post Covid treatment. Only after several videos came out in open depicting his sorry state due to devilish wife, the reality was spilled over and then as is the case every time, the feminist and leftist media became active to nip the case in the bud.
It is so unfortunate to see that in the society we proudly label as 'patriarchal', books like recently released 'Why Men Rape' gets so much attention and praises even before its launch owing to its bold (read shameless) title but one can't even imagine in his deadliest of dreams that a work like 'Why Women Are Gold Diggers' will ever get to see the light let alone the appreciation? We talk about equality being at the core of everything and people shouting at their loudest decibels when a CM's comment about female outfits is blown out of proportion but no one bats an eyelid when in any calamity, since the times immemorial, we hear "First lets save women and children" as if grown up men are made of a different mettle or steel and disaster won't touch them.
In this heartbreaking book, author gives a reality check of how various laws are biased against Men and unreasonably favour females. All the aforementioned points dawn on us as a bitter realization while flipping through pages when Mr. Kailash pours his heart out narrating real life incidents which can even shred a stone-hearted to pieces. And he does it without the aid of any dramatic elements makes it all the more hard hitting.
The design of cover is top notch and so does the contents inside. Some on your face facts like more than half of the rape and dowry cases are fake and just a way to exploit the partial laws are very well documented. This could have been a flawless piece of work only if writer has made it a bit longer (as he sums up the horror in just around 100 pages) and publisher had chosen a better quality paper and cover. Such a high MRP for a small read doesn't do justice to this masterpiece as it should be read by every single sane person irrespective of his or her alignment or inclination.
Nevertheless full marks to the author for coming out with such intent in penning down a book on such a sensitive topic.

This was such a though provoking read. The concept of this book is very fascinating. I liked the various issues and loopholes in the law is discussed in the book. The author explains how the law can be more inclusive. I applaud the author for writing this book. I really appreciate the author for writing the book which sheds light on how men in our society are not protected by law much and how easily these laws can be misused by women. The book is well researched too. I think this going to be one of my favorite read of this year. Its a short read and everyone should give this book a try.
"Men on DV" talks about another side of a story which is from male point of view. Since decades we have been naming the society as Patriarchal which is true to some extent too but it is also true that neither all the men are devil nor all women are good. There are various laws that are designed to safeguard women folk but somewhere a group of females are misusing the same laws to take revenge on their spouse.
The Author in this book has clearly stated the mentality of a guy who goes through fake alligations. In my opinion, either be it a girl or boy, none of them deserves such harrassment and irrespective of gender, strict measures must be taken to avoid fake cases. It was shocking to know the suicide cases among the males and the cause being same. The story narrates a happy life of 15 years which falls apart suddenly. Being able to witness someone who has gone through the same situation, I was able to connect to the story and whatever the Author has written things are same in real life.
If I can suggest something, along with highlighting the issue, it could have been better if the Author had narrated more about what caused for such a sudden change. I kept reading the book but I read only about the sufferings, past & court proceedings. Since the book is short, the pace of the book doesn't add any disadvantage. I liked how the Author made a start and a bit of research has helped the Readers as well. Overall this book is based on true events which are heart breaking.
With cover that speaks on its own, this book was insightful. It shows a different side to DV (Domestic Violence ) cases ,ie. When a man is innocent. It was eye opening that sometimes men can be innocent and women use them for gain. As there are two sides in a coin, same way there are two sides of everything .
The main character and his wife were happily married for 15 years, they also had a child. But suddenly the wife wants divorce . When husband want to know the reason behind her leaving , she files case in court and makes many false allegations against him . The husband hire lawyers and fight against her . In the process, he looses himself and get depressed . Even after the case is closed and he is deemed innocent , his life changes completely. The book showed how DV cases are filed and how the fight in court goes on.. how problematic it is going to numerous hearings and fighting restlessly. It also tells of Men's right groups where volunteers help others get out of fake cases. But the book also shows that there are numerous violence on women that is never reported. But from the ones that are reported, many are fake . Overall, It was a good book that is important to spread awareness .
It's stated in book "our Indian law has given too much of provision to women for their safety and all this will be used against you." So , does this means that we women should deny this safety? Which is honestly minimal as we are talking about it. Because women are still not safe . Why is this safety given to us bad ? If few women exploit that safety , does that mean others shouldn't be given ?

Constitution of India is the lengthiest constitution amongst all. It covers each and every aspect of law. Article 14 of the Indian Constitution states that: “The State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or the equal protection of the laws within the territory of India” but is it really happening???
Being an advocate myself, I feel that the law is biased. Yes I am a female and no, I am not against woman. If we woman can fight for our rights and if equality is the birth right then there should not be any conditions to that; it should be available to all irrespective of there gender as well.
Yes, men are also exploited at times. Not all men are wrong and not all women are right. The maxim “Audi Alteram Partem” which means “let the other side be heard as well” gives equal opportunity to present oneself before the court of law. Men should also be given the benefit of doubt.
The book openly talks about this issue and very well explains the need of new laws. The book is well researched and I recommend every individual to read this atleast ones.
This book is very different from other this book talks about man's perspective of domestic violence. So this book was very different and unique but also very informative read. The book takes the readers on a journey of a man who has to face a fake domestic violence charge by his ex-wife and how it changed his life.
The story is of a happy couple and how they got married and had a daughter and then got separated. It is a roller coaster ride of emotions and feelings. The author has nicely depicted the whirlpool of emotions faced by men when these fake allegations are imposed on them. Many laws are there to protect women which are important and should be there but no one can deny that some women take uncanny advantage of these laws.
While there are many books written on the women's side of the story, this is the first that I have come across from a men's perspective and kudos to the author for such a brave attempt.
The language of the book is easy and simple to understand. The whole story is emotional and not an easy read. But surely an important one. Highly recommended.
Patriarchy has subjugated women to all possible extents as history has enough record to testify that. But as it is said, times change, and so has the game shifted to the other side as women got empowered. Kailash Amesur, in his “Men on DV,” tries to bring the story if the other side of the story and attempts to give voice to the unheard. The author may have taken a fictional framework to share the story he has in the less than 100 pages of the book; the events are born from the realistic aspects of life and find their roots in any Indian household irrespective of their economic status. Many people would be able to relate to the events the author narrates in the book as they or someone in their knowledge may have gone through similar circumstances. This makes “Men on DV” a work of social relevance and a book that is recommended to mature and grown-up readers due to both the length of the book and the serious nature of the content.
"The book " Men on dv" written by Kailash Amesur is an eye opener for us. We are living in a society where is a presumption against man being guilty if the case of domestic violence. This book is beautifully written and crafted in 18 chapters. In first four chapters writer had put his soul in words while describing the a lively relation between a couple however in next few chapters the whole scenarios had been changed. We came to know about many loopholes of Indian constitution regarding cases of domestic violence due to which even law is helpless to serve justice on time. Author also shed light on psychological state of a man who is facing trauma of losing his wife and daughter, mental health as well as his financial assets. It's a smoothly written short read of 84 pages. One should surely give this one a try.
Name of the book- MEN ON DV (DOMESTIC VIOLENCE) Written by- Kailash Amesur Rating- 4/5
This book covers a story of a man who was charged for domestic voilence. On day he saw his Ex-wife and start telling story about their past that how they meet, get married and how they get separated. The author tried to tell that women are always not true.Sometime man also suffer from the false blame. The book is divided into eight chapters which are interconnected to each other.
The Author take the very good topic and talk about it and I valued his diligent work. The story is short and easy to understand. The language style is easy to understand. The book cover is attractive.
In my opinion, You should read this book. You will find interest till the end and You also get to know other side of the case.Men are not always wrong. Thank you.
My Perspective: ‘I picked up this book expecting very minimum’- I realized this after reading the book. The author very impressively penned the man’s perspective of things. In certain instances, being a girl, I realized, “I never thought they go through too.” We need more books like these and must read them to better understand men as well.
About the Book: The book has a very strong cover with the symbol of justice behind a man hiding his face and a few fake accusations burning around him.
About the Story: This story is about the main protagonist. He narrates the story of his ex-wife and himself- their love story, 15 years of marriage, and separation. He emphasizes how the love between them turned to hatred from his beautiful loving wife. This is focused on the theme: domestic violence.
Recently, I came across a news which revealed that a man was jailed for twenty years for a crime he did not commit. He was accused of rape but after having spent most of his youth in jail, the court found no proof of him committing the crime and acquitted him.
This definitely warrants a discussion around the laws which are there to safeguard women. Because like in this particular case, those laws can be misused.
The book and the author attempts to highlight this very aspect of the laws, albeit in a different situation.
The book deals with the laws on domestic Violence and how it can be misused. The narration is from the P.O.V. Of the man who is also the protagonist.
Overall, the author has touched important points, although this is not a non fiction, yet the detailed outlook on the misuse of the law makes its a unique read.
The book is about the serious topic that we often skip i.e. domestic violence. The story of this book revolves around a man who was accused of domestic violence. This book covers a story of a man who was charged for domestic voilence. One day when he sees his Ex-wife, the story starts in the flashback since then. He tells about their past. How they met, got married and then got separated. The story tells us a brutal truth that not every women who claims to be tortured is true. And not all accused men are guilty. The topic though was simple and known. But the side of the topic that the author tried to talk about is really unique. I loved the author's opinion and way of presenting everything vividly. Language is simple so that everyone could understand the book easily. The cover and title is amazing. Loved each and every element of the book. Highly recommended.
The Book, Men On DV is related to domestic violence. It covers each and every aspect of law. There are Eighteen Chapters which are connected to each other. This is the Story From the Perspective of a Man. This Book has Tried to tell The Other Side or real side of Domestic Violence. To know better go and grab a copy.
According to author, we should acknowledge the need to rethink about these situation and condition. Not all men are wrong and not all women are right. So we should consider equal no matter there is girl or boy.
The book openly talks about every issue and very well explains with thre help of new rules. The Language of this novel is Lucid and effective. The Writing Style of the book is smooth.
This book is written by Kailash Amesur . The author has used very simple language in this book. The book is so short that it can be completed in one sitting, only 84 pages.
The author explains the man's attitude towards domestic violence through this book. In this story an innocent man is punished.

How many times we thought that law which has been made to safeguard the interests have been used otherwise. This book is a short read which is linked through eighteen chapters and they are interlinked quite well. This book is written with the perspective of the man who has been separated from his spouse and met after 15 years and now he is telling the story how he got married , about his kid and ofcourse about separation as well. The language has been kept easy and gripping. Liked the novel approach of this book which made this book quite different.
Men on DV by Kailash Amesur is a nice book about domestic violance. It is well plotted and narrated.
This story has plotted on a man who have been going through domestic violance and faced a lot of problems. Many people suffer such issues in their life but in case of males its quite rare and unique but its true.
This book holds an eyecatching concept. Narration is up to the mark. Such plots make the readers curious to read. It was an engaging read for me.
Simple language used. Title is apt to the plot. Cover is good. Good work by the author.
