I highly recommend the book "Humanizing Strategy: How to Master Emotions, Values and Beliefs When you Execute Plans" by Geert Vercaeren. This book is a valuable resource for anyone interested in strategy development and execution, team development, collaboration across teams, culture change, leadership development and designing future-proof organisations. The book in particular focuses on the importance of considering values, beliefs, and emotions.

Vercaeren's writing style is engaging and easy to follow, making complex concepts accessible to a wide range of readers. He provides real-world examples and case studies to illustrate his points and suggests practical tactics how to deal with such cases and what the success factors are. This makes the content of this book even more applicable and relatable.

One of the things I appreciated most about this book is its focus on the human dimension of strategy development and implementation. Vercaeren emphasizes the importance of considering emotions, values, and beliefs. This approach not only leads to more successful outcomes but also creates a more fulfilling and meaningful experience for those involved.

Overall, "Humanizing Strategy" is a must-read for anyone looking to improve their strategic planning skills and create a more human-centered approach to achieving their goals. Whether you're a business leader, entrepreneur, project manager or consultant, this book has something valuable to offer.

Finally a book that provides frameworks, tools and insights that you can apply in your work environment, and that inspires and engages at the same time.
It’s written in a very inclusive way, enjoyable for people from various cultural backgrounds. Each chapter inspires with anecdotal stories, practical checklists, methodologies and concepts, provoking guiding questions. I also like that the book is built up in various chapters, allowing the readers to pick out the chapters most relevant to them at that point in time.
As a senior HR professional often engaged in team dynamics, leadership development, M&A, I have used this book in multiple occasions to learn from and apply in the real world. A great mix of thought leadership and practical applications by an inspiring highly experienced story teller.

Geert Vercaeren draws upon his vast experience and expertise to paint a definitive picture of the centrality of emotional capital to business strategy. The insights and lessons are practical instead of merely academic, and the suggested interventions are immediately actionable. This is valuable reading to any senior executive or HR leader, an ideal game-plan on how to mobilise your strategy using the ingredient that matters most - your people.
