They only have each other and do what is necessary to survive in the wilderness. Laska is the stronger and the protector of the two. Laska also has a dark craving, and after a horrific event, he’s finally able to get a taste of what he’s been craving.
While this is a short erotic horror, it was also very sweet in my opinion. I loved the brother’s devotion to and their possessiveness of one another. I adored how Laska takes care of his brother.
Now don’t get me wrong, this book has some fucked up moments that may disturb some readers, however, I found the love between them endearing and wished the story was longer.
Overall I enjoyed Laska!

Apareció en mi fyp y me dio curiosidad, MALA IDEA. No se que es lo que acabo de leer, estoy tratando de digerir la historia pero honestamente no se que acabo de leer, no se si leería algo más de la autora pero es que realmente me dejo en shock, nunca pensé leer algo relacionado con el canibalismo pero woooow.
Es muy rápido de leer y apesar que quería vomitar mientras leía lo acabe muy rápido, tiene muy pocos capítulos.
Esto se puede catalogar como horror, son temas muy oscuros y wtf no se que acabo de leer.
En fin, si se quieren arriesgar por curiosidad, háganlo bajo su propio riesgo.
Es muy rápido de leer y apesar que quería vomitar mientras leía lo acabe muy rápido, tiene muy pocos capítulos.

not me walking into a tale of two cannibalistic & incestuous brothers expecting more than simple shock value and getting sad that the story was a bit shallow 🤡
the brothers don’t have much personality apart from one being the protector and the other, the protected (who also acquires a taste for human meat sprinkled with old bay seasoning….raw 🤤). and when i found out the erotic scenes were glossed over…. I KNOW! THE HORROR!
extra star for how they described each other in their respective povs though ‘cause that was pretty sweet 🥺
heeding the warnings surrounding the epilogue, i'd steeled my stomach for the very worst, but maybe due to the early morning haze clouding my judgment, the whole gory setup with the third party and the blood play had me cackling?? is this a sign i should seek help 🤣 Aspen’s assuredness at the end somehow took me by surprise but it shouldn’t have seeing that Laska’s steady presence was the antidote to his life’s worries and all that. THE POWER OF BROTHERLY LOVE 🥰💖

KW didn't dilute the crazy in this book at all ... and I loved it. The book( can we even call it a book....it's 30-40 pages i think) is entirely too depraved and features the most taboo subjects....incest and cannibalism. It was short, fast and bloody. 🔥🔥🖤 Would def recommend.

Creo que lo más fuerte del libro es el final, pero sigue sin ser el más perturbador que he leído.
En esta ocasión no me atrevo a darle más estrellas, pero no está mal escrito, de hecho me parece bien que no fuera tan descriptivo. Me salté todas las escenas de sexo porque, qué asco, pero la sangre y todo eso, pulgar arriba :D

absolutely nothing that i read phases me anymore, so i was not really disturbed while reading this, however, i heavily recommend taking extreme caution and read the warnings before beginning this story.

An erotic - Dark & Depraved, more horror than dark honestly, fast-paced & quick story, read in half an hour!
TW: There is Murder, incest, rape (on page & described), blood as lube, & cannibalism (cooked & raw) - definitely my 1st time reading this in book. YOU ARE BEING WARNED!! Not take this lightly.
With these TW, how can I resist? Especially when the incest portion already sold me on it! I love forbidden romances so much 😜. Plus, it's free from K. Webster's website. Definitely a different story!
Older brother Laska & younger brother Aspen live in the wilderness with their dad. Since their mother left (not too far for her 😅), Aspen has been sad but got comfort from Laska. Their attraction has grown though they kept it under wraps.
Until Aspen is raped while Laska was away, but Laska does come like the dark Knight to save him. Not only is their inner darkness let lose, but hot, hot lust too! These two definitely have a will-kill-for-you, ride or die relationship! However dark the story may be, their relationship was sweet. (Depends on your definition of sweet!)
Cold. Hot. Possessive.
And why stop? We got revenge on that asshole man, why not the mom too, right? ;-) *evil laugh*
If you have the guts, definitely read this story!

I really have no idea what to say about this book. Yeah, it was dark and brutal but it was written so emotionless, it didn't really feel that brutal. I went into this fully preprared to love main leads no matter how unhinghed they are but there just wasn't any substance to them. I don't even get what was the point of the whole plot and it was way to short to form any attachment.

Este libro es el claro ejemplo de que no hay que confiar en todo lo que sale en internet.
La autora, el público, las editoriales, la sinopsis (todo el mundo, vamos) prometía que este relato sería perturbador, lleno de escenas explícitas que podrían quedarse rondando en tu cabeza para siempre y una historia cuyo desenlace no te dejaría dormir. Bueno, pues todo esto es mentira cochina y una estrategia de márketing muy inteligente .
Es de las cosas más blandas que he leído en mi vida. No quiero hacer spoilers, pero voy a hablar de ciertos detalles del libro que podrían considerarse como tal, aunque creo que da igual porque el libro es tan corto y la historia tan estúpida que no te pierdes de nada. Es más, te ahorras la media hora que al menos yo tardé en leerme esta bazofia.
Supuestamente aborda el tema del canibalismo, el abuso sexual y el incesto con una crudeza y oscuridad absoluta. Y claro, estos temas efectivamente aparecen en la historia, pero están tan pero que tan mal tratados que parece una comedia más que otra cosa.
La narración es mala, eso para empezar, pero no es ni de lejos lo peor del libro. Se nota que la escritora quiso intentar hacer su historia lo más "perturbadora" posible, metiéndole escenas extremadamente forzadas y un argumento muy mal desarrollado que no tiene ningún sentido, y esto incluye al canibalismo, al abuso y a todo eso que debería haberme aterrado. Pero solo me causo risa. Risa e indignación de que haya gente a la que de verdad le haya impactado esos temas, en los que la autora nunca profundizó como para poder llegar a hacerme sentir algo.
No me sentí incómodo con el incesto. Lo que pasa es que los protagonistas no parecen hermanos; podrían perfectamente ser amigos o incluso ni siquiera conocerse. Jamás pude imaginarme que existía esta relación de sangre entre ellos porque no hay ninguna profundización en esta que la haga parecer real. No parecen hermanos, por lo que el tema del incesto queda prácticamente nulo.
Y con el canibalismo y el abuso sexual... Es que no sé ni por dónde empezar. Qué cosa tan ridícula por la chucha. Este libro funciona mucho mejor como una comedia, en serio, porque las escenas que hay sobre esos temas... XDXDXD, no tengo palabras; perdón por esta explicación tan pobre que acabo de dar, pero quédense con que es lo más ridículo que existe. Ocurren de la nada, sin contexto alguno. La prosa, tan plana y desprovista de todo no ayuda, ni tampoco lo hacen los diálogos, las acciones o los sentimientos de los personajes, inverosímiles a más no poder.
Y todavía me da más risa que la autora en serio piensa que su relato es bueno. ¿Acaso nadie se ha puesto a analizar la advertencia que pone al principio? Arrogante es poco para describirla. Me dio hasta más vergüenza ajena que su propia historia .
Otra cosa que me carga es que intenta darle desarrollo a los personajes, metiendo detalles innecesarios y también forzados. Algo similar que me pasó con The Dare, otro libro igual de horrible que este.
Se menciona que viven en Alaska, un dato que podría ser interesante (digo, por la ambientación que le añadiría ese toque perverso que la autora quería hacernos sentir), pero que no se explota nada. También lo de que la mamá los abandonó; ya me dirás qué tiene de relevante eso para la trama, salvo quizá para el epílogo que, ¡oh, sorpresa!, tampoco aporta nada. Y este primo que se menciona, o el papá... Puro relleno. No sé ni para qué lo puso. Su historia luce incluso más artificial con aquellos datos.
Ni hablar de esta relación de ¿amor? entre los hermanos. Imposible de explicar o siquiera de creer, parecía un libro juvenil absoluto, y lo peor es que me recordó a esos cursis y mamones que leen las niñas de trece años. Curioso que la autora, queriendo crear una historia oscura, le haya metido un montón de azúcar a el desarrollo de la relación de los protagonistas. Muy curioso.
Y lo peor de todo es que el libro realmente ha logrado vender. El internet te engatusa con una sinopsis atrapante que de verdad promete algo; funcionó conmigo y eso que no soy fàcil de convencer para leer libros así.
La autora le metió toda esa mierda supuestamente perturbadora solo para tener éxito, y lo consiguió, bien por ella, pero me alegro un poco que al menos los lectores estén haciendo contrapeso con las reseñas de 1 estrella. Héroes, sin más.

I'm very proud of the fact that I have yet to read something that triggers me. Is that like something to boast about? I mean I could but then I'd feel like a dick cuz, it's fucked up, no? To say "I can read about rape or murder without gagging", like, "look at me, how cool am I?" See?! DICK!!
I don't know what to say after reading this super small book. In fact this is the smallest I've ever read. Is that the issue? No. The length was definitely NOT the issue, because as small as it is, it has my three requisites for books I love: sex, violence and blood. It's not easy to get a good combination of it.
I was first surprised in the beginning on who's internal dialogue I was reading. Then I get startled with where the story goes so fucking quickly and THEN it just goes and takes a dive into ta-the-fuck-boo and even then I'm like ok ok, I've read darker, I'll keep reading. THEN, HOLY FUCKING SHIT. Fucking hell, shit gets DARK.
It's a fucking fictional story. From an author who writes crazy shit. What did you expect? It's NOT for the faint at heart, we got several triggers. It's NOT for a book club read, not even a buddy read. I kid you the fuck not, the friend that had me read this . . . I couldn't fucking even talk to her after reading this. Cuz you know why? I don't know how the fuck I feel after reading this. I mean, I'm sure as fuck going to fucking drink a 5th of bourbon (give or take an ice cube or two) but damn me if I don't feel like I just ran a hundred yard dash in a ninety yard gym.
Oh fuck it, I liked it. THERE. I fucking said it. Now fuck off.

I've read this one randomly and I must say this novella is absolutely NOT for everyone, so be careful.
I'd love to read a longer book about this plot/story because I feel like the madness (the craziness, the gore) behind it's a good material for a horror novel.

It was more disgusting than horrifying I thought but I don't know which would be worse than the other and I don't want to know either.

Es el libro más random que leí. Le quité una 🌟 por la sangre del final que me dió mucha impresión pero el resto es muy meh (y muy enfermo).

Me pareció un libro mal desarrollo en el que solo pasan cosas y cosas sin un transfondo, en mi opinión toma temas sencibles muy a la ligera pudo haber tenido mucho más potencial si hubiera sido más largo y estructurado
Cabe decir que este libro no es para todo publico si son sencibles no lo lean y en mi opinión no vale la pena leerlo

I enjoyed this one immensely. It was very cute and the main character's vulnerabilities is adorable.
The warning says it's beyond dark. I must have read too much because I found my ranking...

Una pequeña historia super entretenida y asquerosa.
Mucho gore, mucho amor, mucha depravación.
Me recordó a la novela de Matt Shawn, Sick Bastards, no sé si fue por el incesto o el canibalismo.
En conclusión:
Este libro bien podría haber sido el tercer volumen de la serie The Wild, y qué decepción que no lo sea, ya que los protagonistas y sus historias se merecían mucho más. Quiero saber más sobre ellos, y odio que su padre probablemente tenga una novela completa.

Lo leí por curiosidad y que sorpresa me dí. Realmente quede impactada. Creo que esto es algún tipo de fetiche, no sé. Me perturbó muchísimo.
