They both agree that the one time shouldn’t have happened. There are too many obstacles between them. But what if those barriers are all an illusion?

Wow! This is now my new favourite Alexia Chase book! Liam is a football player, father of three and all round great guy. He lost his wife to cancer three years ago and hasn’t wanted to get into a relationship after his devastating loss. Isabella has just joined the team as a coach. She’s just gotten out of a bad relationship and is not looking for a relationship either after what her ex did and said after her own cancer scare. From their first team meeting the chemistry between them is palpable. They eventually give in to a one time thing agreement but will they be able to stick to that the more time they spend together? This was an awesome read. Isabella is a strong, independent woman working in a man’s world. She’s also kind and caring helping with Liam’s children when needed but also willing to give up her own dreams for the sake of someone else. Liam is a great dad. He soon realizes that it’s ok to love again and Isabella is just the woman for him. An emotional read with all the feels. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Isabella is the new assistant defensive lineman coach for a pro football team and has to prove herself to her new team. Her husband divorced her following her discovery of ovarian cancer because she could no longer get pregnant naturally. However, she has some frozen eggs that can be used for in vitro fertilization and she could become pregnant. Liam is an widowed offensive lineman on the team whose wife died of breast cancer 2 years ago shortly after their 3rd child was born. Liam and Isabella are immediately attracted to one another and end up becoming intimate but then Isabella learns that Liam does not want any more kids because he doesn’t want another woman to sacrifice her life for the baby like his wife did. Isabella realizes Liam would be perfect for her but she wants her own biological child and is willing to use an anonymous donor. Liam thinks Isabella is strong, capable and sexy but he doesn’t want another baby. Despite their impasse they continue to enjoy being together and Isabella becomes close with his kids. Will they be able to find a way to work out their differences and find happiness together?

I loved this story and wish I could give a higher rating than 5 stars. The emotions were very strong, both the love and the sadness. Liam’s wife had told him to find someone else after she died and that he would know when he found that woman. He thought Isabella was that woman but he didn’t want to lose her lIke he had lost his wife to cancer because she delayed treatment until after the baby was born. Isabella had ovarian cancer but had saved some of her own eggs so she could carry a biological baby and become a mother. Her ex husband had berated her and divorced her because of what he called an “unnatural” baby situation. Liam and Isabella loved each other but knew one of them would have to sacrifice their stance on having a baby for them to be happy together. The epilogue was a perfect ending for their story.

What a great story. Isabella is hired as an assistant defensive coach for a football team, and she knows she will have to prove her worth. She also has had some personal set backs. Liam is an offensive lineman and is a widower of three children. They think a one time hook up is a good idea, ha. They are both attracted to each other but they have a different stance on an issue. Isabella is a great character breaking into the football coaching field, and Liam is also a great character but he has his issues, and so does Isabella. This is a funny at time and sad at times story, you will hit most emotions in this one. The supporting cast of characters really rounds out the story. This is just a very entertaining and fun read.

I’ve read a number of Alexia Chase’s novels, but The Broken is now my new favourite. Liam and Isabella both have cancer tragedies in their past, but it looks like even their off the charts chemistry is not enough for either of them to steer away from what they think their lot in life is… or is it?
He has his family and cannot succumb to any more grief, she has one shot at what she wants most, not to mention that hard won job she loves.
Can they get over themselves, communicate what they want and get it together? Enjoy a really sweet read (with some pretty hot sex) and find out if they get to their happy ending.

Liam and Isabella both have a sad past but I am so glad they found each other. I loved them together and that she loved his kids but wants to have her own. They were both deserving of a happily ever after and I loved reading about it.

Beautiful love story.
Oh my word this is such a sweet, hot & emotional love story that I couldn't put down. Although the sexual chemistry between Isabella & Liam was off the charts he was still hurting from the pain of losing his wife so was against anything happening between them. That didn't work out so well as once they got their hands on each other it was hard to stop, she was falling in love with his children aswell but was still troubled about giving up the chance to have her own child. Liam didn't know the full details of Isabella's medical history or about her wanting her own child & he almost lost his second chance of a happy ever after.
I loved all the other guys with their wifes & how they all took in Isabella as part of the family the first time they met her. His mum had me in stitches aswell with her no nonsense approach to his love life with Isabella.
Have loved reading all the books in this series.

This book is like a Super Bowl game winning touchdown....emotional and jubilant!!!

The Broken is the eighth book in the A Sinfully Tempting series by Alexia Chase and her winning streak continues with this book. Whether I read this author's novella's or her longer books I always have a great reading experience because she knows how to write and is a wonderful storyteller. This story is about Isabella and Liam and boy is it a fun, sexy and emotional ride. I don't want to give anything away with my review for this one as I absolutely loved it and want other readers to experience it with open hearts and minds so you can feel everything for yourself as the story unfolds. But let's just say there is drama, love, romance, family, heartache, some gut punches and also uplifting. Then add in the perfectly written epilogue and HEA and this book had me hooked from the first page to the last. This is a DEFINITE RECOMMENDED READ!!!

This is the eighth book in the Sinfully Tempting series. You can read it as standalone but I think the series is much better when read in order. The series is centered around a professional football team so the books are all interconnected. I loved this story. The emotions are powerful, what Isabella and Liam have been through before meeting each other is heartbreaking. The book has its sad points but there also some really good laughs. If you've read any of the other books you know that the guys on the team and their ladies are a close-knit group that love to get together and hang out, have a good time, laugh and enjoy life. I'd love hanging out with the women in these books.

Liam's a widower raising three young children. He lost his wife to breast cancer three years ago. He's finally starting to feel ready to date again and has had a few bad dates much to his teammate’s amusement. He's also convinced he doesn’t want to have any more kids. Isabella has been hired to be a coach for the team. She's dealing with her own heartbreaking issues and is determined to have a baby on her own. She butts heads with Liam on several occasions but the attraction is strong. As they get to know each other their relationship develops but can they both get what they want out of their relationship?

Broken made whole.

When Liam and Isabelle first met, I knew they would click. There’s that instant chemistry between them that they keep on denying but they’re perfect for each other. Knowing the other characters in the book felt like I was watching a series on television and I kinda like the feeling, its like being a part of their world.

Yes, they may have been broken by their past but the two of them together made them whole.

Another great book in this series. I really loved Isabella and Liam’s story.

Isabella has moved to a new city, started a new job, has given up on love and is determined to have a baby on her own...she’s trying to find the perfect candidate via the sperm bank.

Liam is a pro-football player doing his best to raise his 3 kids as a single dad. He’s doesn’t have time to look for love.

When Liam and Isabella meet for the first time there are no sparks but instead a bit of jerkiness from Liam! As they spend time together in the workplace he realizes she is talented and knows what she’s talking about. They both are stating to look at each other in a different way. Soon they realized they have a lot more in common that originally thought.

This is a beautiful love story about two people not initially looking for love but unexpectedly having a second chance at love and HEA.

I requested and arc and I’m proving my honest review.

This is the first book I’ve read in this series and whilst I don’t feel it was necessary and it didn’t impact my enjoyment of this book, I will be sure to go back and read the others now I know how well written these books are.

I personally really enjoyed the authors writing style, it’s very character focused with them revealing their inner thoughts as well as behaviour drivers.

I love the group of friends and how well the characters mesh, much hilarity is brought into the book via this group and it really adds to the overall feel of the story.

Whilst the book does deal with sensitive topics I thought this was done well and I loved Liam and Isabella together. He is definitely my new book boyfriend

Broken but not beyond repair...

This is my third book in the series by the author (although it's book 8) and I think it's my second favourite. I liked the characters but they got serious really quickly and had a lot of deep conversations with their friends that I wasn't sure would be that realistic, on both Liam's part and with brand new friends on Isabella's part. I need to start at the beginning with this series as I want to find out the stories behind the other couples that I've not read yet. A good read even if the conversations and insights into their motivations and feelings were a little too astute and self-aware for a 'normal' couple.

This was another win. The story got me hooked from the first page.
Isabella just started a new job as an assistant couch for the defensive linemen. It's the whole a woman in a men's world, but Isabella is tough. Well, as long as she doesn't have to put up with Liam for longer than necessary. Liam well, they don't exactly start on the good note, but than you see Liam's POV and....well you're going to have to read the story.
I absolutely loved the first person point of view of the story-something that's a deal breaker for me. Liam and Isabella had a good chemistry.

This story is sweet, emotional and HOT. Liam and Isabella are my new favorite couple in this series. They are both two strong-willed individuals who are dealing with heartbreak and loss. When they fall, they fall hard and then have to fight to make their relationship work. This story will make you laugh, make you cry and definitely have you routing for Liam and Isabella's HEA.

This story is somehow just a tad above other stories I have read by this author. This story has so many emotions in it, the storyline is superb, no villain, but lots and lots of love, +18 scenes, kids, love and everything else a story needs to be so good. I rarely give out five stars but this story so deserves the fabulous five!!!

Absolutely must read, addictive and heartbreaking at moments. At last, a long story that get you at the first page and make you live the emotions, passion and misunderstandings between Isabella & Liam , just love having a single dad with lovely children ❤️ Amazing story filled lots of secondaries characters that give a family flavour that keeps you on the edge of your seat until the last page. Alexia did a great job transmitting their feelings through her words.

Isabella and Liam Are fire. It starts off a little enemies
To lovers. But they can’t fight the instant attraction between them.

Liam is a single dad, foot ball player who is a little grouchy and not ready for a relationship.
Isabella is new in town and a new coach on Liams football team. I loved there chemistry and banter. Seeing them fall in love and get there happy ending. Swoon

Isabella is hired to be the first female assistant coach in pro football for the defensive lineman, this after spending 2 yrs as a scout right out of college. Her dad's a coach and she has been brought up around football all her life, this is her dream job but knows she will have to prove herself. Right off the bat she meets Liam and he wants to know why and how she got her job. She's good at what she does and just wants a chance to prove it.
Liam is on the offense and glad he doesn't have to work with her or is he? She throws him for a loop when she brings up things he needs to change. He's also a widower with 3 young kids, he doesn't have time for relationships but maybe a hook up?
Their family and friends also play a big role in their lives and cause some laughs along the way.
Will they make the right decisions or will they walk away?
I really enjoyed this book and the characters and look forward to reading more about them.

Liam is a professional football player. Isabella is the new defensive assistant coach. They are instantly attracted to one another, but because of past heartbreak, they are cautious. This story is fantastic! The storyline touches on some very real and very heartbreaking issues. The characters are lovable and their chemistry is unbelievably hot. Such a fantastic story!

Reconstruction
4.5
Very good romance, certainly between two hearts broken by personal illness or by the loss of a loved one and who are rebuilding themselves but who also have to face up to their past. The interest of the story is to follow their reconstruction, their evolution.
The story is hot, tender, but also moving for the two characters of Isabella and Liam.
I liked the way Isabella enters the very misogynistic circle of American football coaches and the various ways she convinces them of her professionalism.

This was again a fantastic story, very swoonworthy.
You can not do anything else but fall in love with Liam, he is so sweet, sexy and adorable!
He definitely knows which words to say to melt your heart and Isabella deserves that after everything she went through.
There are also some hilarious scene and moments in it.
The other characters like Dillon, Ashley... make it as much fun as well.
I love these series and really hope there will be a next book, maybe about Julie, Isabella’s sister.

I absolutely loved reading this book. I love how Isabella and Liam are both such strong characters who both know what they want in life and aren’t afraid of going out to get it. I loved how these two danced around each other and when they fell, they fell hard, but as always with Alexia Chase’s writing, they have to fight for what they want. You will laugh and cry and have to keep a cool drink close by to help keep the temperature down, then we can finally rejoice with Isabella and Liam with the HEA in the end.

I really loved this story. Liam and Isabella both have had their lives altered by cancer and that is so relatable for me. Their experiences have left them both a bit gun shy and that causes some complications. I really liked the inner monologue parts. I really enjoyed reading this book.
