She’s Got the Money is book two in The Suite #45 series by M.O. Mack. I fell so in love with the first book in this series, She’s Got The Guns and couldn’t wait for this one. This is a fast paced, suspenseful book with just a touch of potential romance. This is one of those books that once you start, you won’t be able to put it down until you’re done.

Emily Wilson had escaped from an abusive marriage to start a new life. Never, ever did she think that new life would include being a part of a group of hit-men and hit-women. Charge, who runs the group and keeps everyone in line, wants to step down, and he wants her to take his place! But, believe me when I say, that her first job doesn’t go well at all!

“After a lifetime of being set aside, his belief in her was everything.”

When Charge is kidnapped, and the ransom is a whopping two million dollars, Emily finds herself scrambling to try to find a way to come up with the money and save her boss. But along the way, revelations are made and she doesn’t know who to trust. It seems that hit men aren’t to be trusted.

You would truly understand this better if you read the first book prior to this one. But, enough details are given to help you figure things out if you haven’t. It is fairly short which is a good thing because there is no walking away from this. Once you start, you won’t want to stop until you read the last page. There are twists and turns galore to keep you on the edge of your seat until the final page. I can’t wait to see what this author has in store for us next.

Favorite Quote:

And it was quite possibly the worst idea ever. Even worse than the time she Ubered to a gunfight, a very ridiculous story best left in the past.

My Review:

This fast-paced and action-packed tale was smirk-worthy with amusing observations and clever snark while keeping my curiosity on edge with twisty and complex conundrums, double-dealing, and a pyramid of lies built on a foundation of truths. I was engaged and frequently flinching when I wasn’t smirking or puzzling out the plot before the little pea in my brain was irreparably scorched. The characters were compelling and oddly humorous assassins full of sass, enigmatic misdirections, compounded lies, and contradictions. And despite all that, they were strangely likable. M.O. Mack has wily skills. I’m hopelessly enamored and already eager for the next installment.

M.O. Mack continues her Suite #45 series with this unputdownable thriller.

Emiliy did everything in her power to escape the clutches of her abusive FBI husband. She just never dreamt she’d find herself in an even worse place working with hit men and women trying to come up with ransom money to save her boss from very dangerous men.

OMG I loved it this book and couldn’t put it down. The plot was exciting and engaging with a hint of romance. The story is fast pace and includes signature M.O. Mack twists, turns and interesting reveals, but mostly I liked Emily’s growth which was supported by Chace.
“After a lifetime of being set aside, his belief in her was everything.”

She’s Got the Money is book #2 of Suite 45 series by M.O. Mack who skillfully recounts events from the previous books in case you missed it so you can enjoy this story as a standalone. It is told from the heroine’s point of view. Genres: Suspense Thriller

Such a great read. Action, crazy, lies, and two million dollars.
Emily trying to seamlessly integrate herself into Suite #45 but nothing ever goes easy when you are dealing with hitmen and drug cartels.
A surprising twist that changes everything.

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review

She's Got The Money by M.O. Mack is a standalone suspense thriller. It's the second book from "The Suit #45" series.

Emily Wilson had been abused by her husband for a long time. She managed to get away and move to El Paso for a new beginning. She landed
a job at a pest control company, which happened to be a front for another dangerous business. That's how she met Charge and the forty-five team who took out her husband and left her with a debt of one million dollars she had to work off in order to live. Charge saw
something in her and wanted to train her to take his position. Emily was ready to do anything to save others but for some reason, she
couldn't do the same for herself. So when a cartel took him she did everything in her power to help him. While doing that she discovered
information that messed with her head. Could she trust the team or it was time to go and never look back?

It's a well-written fast-paced thriller. Even though it's part of a series it can be read as a standalone since it provides the necessary
background information. It has a lot of action, lies, and twists that keep the mystery going and the adrenaline pumping through your system.
The author doesn't overanalyze the scenes and the story has a nice flow. It's like watching an action movie and you have to be
focused in order to understand what is happening. It's a very addictive book once you start it you won't be able to put it down.
From the characters, only Emily made a huge impact on me. She is like the underdog who wins the race. A calm force that turns into a
deadly machine but never loses her kind heart. I can't wait to see what happens next to her.

In conclusion, this is a great book that I highly recommend you to read. It will not disappoint you. I will rate it with 4.5 stars.

I could not put this book down! She’s Got the Money is a wildly entertaining, fast-paced mystery suspense that I devoured in one sitting. There was action, mystery, serious but also humorous situations, along with some clever twists and turns that kept me guessing. Emily remains a resourceful, sassy, quick thinking heroine, but she doesn’t always make the wisest choices. There is never a dull moment in this book and I cannot wait to see what this author comes up with next!

I voluntarily read an early version of this book. All thoughts and opinions are entirely my own.

FAST-PACED, FUN, AND KEEPS YOU ON THE EDGE OF YOUR SEAT!

What I called a great combination for a late-evening read. I didn't put it down until I finished it. Don't get discouraged by the #2 in the series, this book can be read as a standalone, although I am certain you'd like to read the first book anyway. The author's style is wonderful. I enjoyed it so much; it feels better than watching a movie (actually, I believe it would make a great one).

The characters grab you from the beginning and don't let go until the end. I feel we are friends and could go on adventures together. I also enjoyed how we get to know them all, even if through Emily's eyes. They are so well-developed and interesting. We also get an idea about a shady world and its rules, and it's kinda scary to imagine all the lies and pain people can give to others.

If you like thrillers and suspense and multilayered characters, DO NOT MISS this book!

Fast paced!
Once I started I couldn't put it down. In this second book, we find out that things aren't what they seem for Emily. She may be a little gun shy and think she is scared of her own shadow, but when it comes to those she cares about or those she believes have been wronged, she shows she has strength and a backbone of steel. She's smart, it may have taken her some time, but she realized the guy she is falling for has been lying to her from the get go. She shows she has what it takes to manage Suit 45, but she's not sure she wants to stay. Even after she's rescued Charge, touched his pains and told him I was only 9 inches but who's counting (yes this made me laugh out loud!!) and he says he loves her.......she still might leave. Now I can't wait for the next book to see if she stays! This book can be read on its own, you don't need to read the first one. But I would recommend reading She's got the guns as well.

I want to start out by saying how wonderful it was to be surprised! I love book surprises and M O Mack delivered. She’s Got The Money started out as what I thought would be a cozy mystery, then developed into a deeper suspenseful thriller.

Charge…I picture him as the Marlboro Man, except a little more ruggedly handsome. He is a killer, the head of Suite #45, a group of assassins.

An innocent young woman on the run, Emily owes them one million dollars for saving her from her old life. She ends up working for them to pay back the money.

It made me think of Charlie’s Angels and Bond, James Bond.

For the first half of the book, I was pretty lackadaisical. I was enjoying it. It was good and an easy read. Then…it takes a twist and has me questioning everything, my mind trying to unravel the questions this twist created. What is true? Who to trust?

The characters are more complex, as is the entire situation with Emily, than I initially thought. I love that M O Mack was able to catch me so offguard. It kept getting more dangerous. I read faster. I became more invested in the characters and what was going to happen to them.

Even though I didn’t read the first book…yet (which was free when I wrote this review), I didn’t feel like it made this book any less enjoyable. Laughter, humor, danger…and a little bit of romance makes for an intriguing series that left me wanting more.

I voluntarily reviewed a free copy of She’s Got The Money by M O Mack.

WHOA, another page-turner! M.O.Mack continues this saga with a phenomenal second book. I was guessing the entire story of what was going to happen and got it entirely wrong. This book will work your brain, I loved it! The story is full of intrigue, suspense, danger, mystery and everything else. I was completely taken by surprise at the end! If you haven't read "She's Got the Gun", Book 1, read it today and then move on to this book to see what is going to happen. M.O. Mack is an unparalleled author.

I received in ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This book is the second in the series. Start with ‘She’s got the guns’.

I loved the second instalment in this thrilling fast-paced assassin story. Emily has escaped her abusive husband and ended up embroiled in a twisted world of mafia, heroine kings and assassins. Who knows who she can trust as the hits just keep coming. One things for sure .... she’s not going to be stepped on any more and she’s got the guns and the money to win this time!

Can’t wait for the next book!!

OMG!!!! I am mentally screaming right now! This book is absolutely ridiculously fantastic! I honestly could have read this book in one sitting, but like a great glass of wine, (or really good ice cream) I chose to savor it and I was not disappointed. Emily is a victim and her life has taken a 180, Charge is a sexy brooding hit man that is not invincible. The side characters are great and the book moves in all the places.... except the end I could easily read a few hundred more pages.

Holy plot twists bat man! Never in a million years did I think everything would work out the way it did. I know somethings seemed too coincidental but they seemed to be explained in other ways and then the author comes in with this giant plot twist bomb and just casually walls away (probably laughing maniacally).
If you're into fast paced, action packed, mysteries... Then this is definitely the book for you. Have fun finding your way through the plot twist maze of awesomeness.

Let's deal with the nitty-gritty first. This series is a serial but the books could potentially be read as stand-alones. The main plot is resolved, but some issues are ongoing. The possible romance is one such thing. I have mixed feelings about this type of series, so I realize it may not be to every reader's liking.

Having said that, this story is fast-paced, suspenseful, nail-biting, and full of “what did I just read?!” Our heroine, Emily, has found her way into the company of professional hit men and women, and it seems she's in debt to them to the tune of a cool million. Her boss, Charge, has made it possible for Emily to work off her debt by joining the team in carrying out a few contracts as well as coordinating things for future jobs. Let's just say things don’t go as planned and chaos rains down.

This was a lightening-fast read from beginning to end. It didn’t just grab my attention, it flung me into the story and left me gasping for breath as I followed all the events as they unfolded. This story is so riveting that the twists and turns had twists and turns of their own! It was all I could do to hold on for the ride.

I can’t wait to see what happens next with Emily and Charge, and I’m hoping for a good deal of development on some of the subplots in the next book. If you go into this one with a what-you-see-is-what-you-get approach, knowing some of the themes will develop further in future books, you'll absolutely love it. With an intriguing storyline, fast-paced action, gripping drama, and spell-binding suspense, what's not to love?

Omg can life get anymore surreal for Emily she can't believe shes agreed to stay, learn the job and take control of suite 45 to become the new Sampson to a team of assassins. Obviously she must have gone crazy thinking she can do this learn to shoot to take a life of someone even if they deserved it and manage to hold in the contents of her stomach in. yes she can fight to defend others but when it comes to herself not so much maybe Ed her low life abusive husband was right.. Although Charge her sorta hero/assassin/man who she fancies but scares the life out of her has faith in her he knows that she can do it. However it seems there's more going on than meets the eye and Emily will find out the truth no matter what but whether she likes what she finds out well that's a different story. All she needs to do at the moment is stay alive long enough to prove herself to the others in the team while trying to find out whats going on as all is not what it seems..
love the book 👍

A book that comes right out of left field, totally amazing with plenty of trickery and wits. I always expect a dynamic book from this author, the storylines amaze and thrill me. Emily is again forced to help the forty-five guys out of a jam. She’s gone from battered wife on the run to assistant assassin slash office manager. There is no stopping Emily when someone is in need of help, but who helps her? You’ll be surprised to find out how her brain works to put all the pieces together. She might be tiny on the outside but she’s all bravery and strength inside. Definitely a series you need to read in order, and just know Suite 45 could have tons of situations for many more books. I was fortunate to receive an advanced copy and am voluntarily leaving my review.

This book has more twists and turns than San Francisco's Lombard Street!

Emily has gotten herself mixed up with an unexpected group in Texas after running from her abusive husband. Convinced she owes the group, she gets embroiled in one outrageous plot after another and soon Emily doesn't know what's right or who to trust. So when a member of the team is kidnapped Emily will be forced to make some difficult decisions and face truths she never saw coming, all as pieces to this puzzle begin to come together while her life is unraveling around her.

I received an ARC and voluntarily offer this review.

The second book in the Suite #45 series. Emily is at it again trying to help people and getting into more trouble. Charge is trying to get out or step down and gets caught in the mess. Now Emily has to go on her own crazy adventure to rescue some of the team. While she is doing so finds out more information about Ed. Absolutely crazy, funny story!!!

All the Lies

Book 2 is a mixed bag for me, Emily and charge don’t have a lot of interactions. Flint and Olivia are as much in focus and Emily in my opinion showed why she shouldn’t be Samson, she folds way too easy. This is a short book and an okay read. I just had some real issues with Emily.

Crazy fabulous

She's Got the Money had me on the edge of my seat until the very end. A fast paced adventure filled with secrets, mysteries, and a bit of forbidden romance. The second book of the Suite #45 series reveals more about Emily and how she stumbled upon her crazy new life.

This story is touted as a stand-alone, but I think someone coming in without having read the first book in the series might be lost. Having read She’s Got the Guns though, I thoroughly enjoyed this continuation of Emily’s story and the ridiculous situations she seems to get herself into and, miraculously, out of!

Having run away from an abusive relationship with her dirty-FBI agent husband, Emily had thought she could live alow profile life. Yet in She’s Got the Guns, she found herself knee-deep in the company of contract killers. Thinking that she could walk away from this life, this new story begins when she is once again tempted by Charge, the man in charge of it all. His offer for her to secretly run the entire assassin operation and be a house-mom of sorts to a gaggle of hitmen and women is barely offered when Charge is captured by a rival outfit and Emily is forced to spring into action to save this man who confuses her and has upended her entire life.

There is no way to describe this story without experiencing it because it would sound insane. And it was, in the best possible way. It is a crazy wild ride of a book that leaves you coasting along, and then all of a sudden, something comes out of the left field to make you swerve and question what is going on. M.O.Mack’s writing style is so readable that I zipped through this book in no time.

It seems like a farce, with all of the insane situations that these characters find themselves in. But in actuality, She’s Got the Money is a story of empowerment. Emily is a woman that had never been appreciated. She was looked down on and treated as a possession of little value. That is, until the scariest, most lethal man found her and saw in her what she couldn’t yet see in herself. He believed in her before she did, and brought out the best version of the woman she could be.

I loved this crazy story, and can’t wait for the next!

ARC TIME!!!!

As always, thanks go to those involved with allowing me to read Mimi's work ahead of time.

I enjoyed the first book in this series, and so it would only follow on that I'd enjoy this one as well.
I have a huge question *how the hell does Emily get herself into these crazy situations, let alone get herself out of them?*

I actually read this book twice! Yes, true story.
I was trying to figure out what's going on that I'm missing, or am I not missing anything? Its hard to tell with Mimi.

So, Emily has had another change of identity, to help keep herself hidden. She gets herself a job with Charge, learns to shoot a gun, is being trained to take over Charge's job when he retires, but then things stop adding up for Emily. 2 and 2 no longer make 4, instead they're adding up to leventytwelve, and that's not right! She is realizing more and more that shes not being told the truth.

Emily is a crazy cross between Max Smart, and Our Man Flint. She gets herself into some absolutely ridiculous situations, but still manages to come up roses! How she is sorting the lies from the truth is a mystery in itself, and the things she is finding out on her journey. . . . hmmm.

And was that a Bruno Mars quote in there? Is that secret code for something? And some Vanderhorst dude. !! Hahaha. Mimi just cant help herself!

Loved the sweet as ending, but I still feel I'm missing something, some vital clue? Something!
Why do you do this to me Mimi?

A new genre for one of my favourite authors. This story has everything: suspense, drama, damsel in distress, hunky hero and a plot that keeps you on the edge of your seat.

I missed the first book (not sure how) so had to read before launching into this one. It's a great story: Emily Rockford is on the run from her abusive & very crooked FBI husband. Answering a 'wanted' ad leads her to working with a group of hit men. Emily's life becomes a roller coaster involving with a cartel & local mafia. All in all its great writing and I can't wait for the next installment, although therein lies my criticism. It's short: very short. Why this author can't write a story in one go is beyond me. These are not standalone stories. Regardless the 'catch up' on what went before, you'll enjoy this book far more if you read the first one first. I find it such a con & really hate it when authors do this. It's not even 150 pages & that includes all the guff that's not part of the story. If course I'm going ti read the next story but I'd be seriously fed up if I hadn't been given an ARC copy in return for a reviewer. It's like drip-feeding, hence lost a star. Regardless though, it's a great story, which I can't recommend enough.

This is the 2nd book in the series. You will need to read book #1 - She’s Got The Guns, as book #2 picks up where #1 left off.

Emily Wilson had escaped from an abusive marriage to start a new life.  She starts over in El Paso, TX, we see in Book # 1 - She's Got the Guns.  Emily doesn't realize that the company she is now working for is actually an undercover hit agency.

Charge, who runs the group and keeps everyone in line, wants to step down, and he wants her to take his place!  Emily would be better as an office management person. Her first time out in the field across the border in Juarez, Mexico doesn't go well at all!

When Charge is kidnapped, and the ransom is a whopping two million dollars, Emily finds herself scrambling to try to find a way to come up with the money and save her boss. Emily goes to 2 of the 'hit people' to help her but of course they don't believe her side of the story at all. Emily also finds out that Charge has been lying about some pretty heavy things. Going along to save Charge, Emily realizes she doesn’t know who to trust.

There are twists and turns galore to keep you on the edge of your seat until the final page.

I'm really loving this series! the suspense, the humour and the very very light touch of romance all is perfectly balanced to keep you on edge....which the cliffhanger never help.

Emily is training with Charge to join the hit men team.....slowly learning the rules but when Charge is taken she will do everything, even breakling rules, to save him. She jumps into a world still foreign with the help of two team members Olivia and Flint.....discovering much more than expected....and she has decision to make.

I love it! really Emily is such a good person and Charge is so mysterious even if i do want to strangle him for how blind he can be ...Olivia and Flint are funny i do hope to see more of them

this is just perfect a page turner, next oen won't be here soon enough^^

to be recommended but i do recommend you to read this series in order so so worth it!

This is another pulse-pounding entry into this series. Emily only knows a small fraction of what is happening in and around El Paso, and she gets tossed into the middle of the action again. She meets some of the other contractors in Suite 45, and they pack an incredible amount of action into 24 hours while trying to help Charge. In the process, Emily puts quite a few pieces of the Ed puzzle together. She is still conflicted about the morality of working for hit men versus getting some scum off the streets, but she does what she has to do anyway. It is obvious that there are still several mysteries going on, more bad guys to take down, and feelings for Charge to resolve. Looking forward to the next installment!

I can't wait for the next book!!!

She's Got The Money which is book 2 in this series picks up right were Book 1 ended. M.O. Mack knows how write a story that brings you in and keeps you at the edge of your seat. In this book the author didn't disappoint.

Emily is being groomed to take over for Charge when the time comes for her to take over Suite 45. The training and the tests are getting harder but are for a purpose. The time when she will have to do it solo. Cartels and a third party are coming in hot for Charge and the others. When lies, untold truths and a 24hr deadline is thrown at Emily what will she do? This sassy, quick witted, twisty saga that will hook you and make you the author for more of thrilling world.

This is the first book of this series that I have read and it was a pretty good read. Where this can be read as a standalone book, I felt that since I didn't read the first book of the series that I kind of missed somethings but everything from book one was mostly explained as this book progressed. This was a well written action packed read that also picks up where book one left off and the story continues.

In this edition of the series, we continue with Emily's story and her training for being a hitwoman and her taking over the role of Sampson or organization leader. She has mixed feelings for her mentor Charge as she also tries to overcome and resolve her past and move into her future. Emily is placed with two operators, Olivia and Flint, for some on the job training and finds herself in more trouble.

This was an action packed read that was well written. There were some twists that I did not see coming but overall this was an enjoyable read that I would recommend to others.

This is the second book in the series, and I was surprised by all the new twists and turns. I did not see a few things coming at all. I am also dying for the next book! This story continued off with Emily trying to prove herself worthy to her new team. She not only buckled under pressure, but she also found what motivates her. I love the fast-paced reading of the story. There is no time to get stuck on mundane details. I wish the stories could be longer, but I would never sleep! Emily's quirky sense of humor, her allies, enemies, and allies/enemies keep you on your toes while laughing your butt off. Move over mystery authors cause M.O. Mack is back with another 5-star read!
