This is a short book – and a nice little love story.

Samuel and Sara have had a relationship going since a few years. They are at a stage when Samuel believes the relationship has run its course and is thinking about how he can tell Sara that they should break-up and end their live-in relationship. Just then, Sara tells him that she has been diagnosed with advanced stage cancer and is very distraught. Samuel rethinks his stand and instead looks at re-vitalizing their relationship and make it possible for Sara to fulfil her desires/wish list.

An easy-to-read story with loveable characters. However, the story feels very familiar – the reason being it is a situation & story which is very very usual. The ending indicates that the story will have a continuation – just maybe the sequel will introduce some new elements.

I received a free electronic copy of the book for providing a review

Is it a love story or a thriller/mystery?

A short read, a boy and girl in love when suddenly tragedy strikes them. The book is about them dealing with the same. The writing is crisp and one can finish the book in one go. I did that.
There is a cliff hanger in the end, and that's a very smart move by the writer.

I'll recommend this book, if you are into romantic novels, you won't be disappointed.
I wanted to read more and it ended, hence one less star.

Happy Reading!

“Love never dies, it fizzles out maybe, but it stays there in your heart buried by emotions controlling you. Once the fire is rekindled love breathes a new life.”
- Elizabeth E. Castillo

This was a story about a girl named Sara dying and her boyfriend who was going to break up with her but then things change once he knows she is dying.

It was a quick read I’d say. I literally finished in within half an hour. It was like a short story that you can read anytime which have funny jokes and a bit of romance. And with a twist I did not expect in the end. Anyone who’s up for a short ride can read this. Quick to read, easy to comprehend.

But my bigger question to this was why do we humans have to understand the importance of a person or a relationship until it comes to end, until it’s come to it’s dying end. Why do we let it go there? Why don’t we just act up before that? Why take it anything for granted?

My take from this book would be to never take things or people in your life for granted. Live and love, while you are here, in the present. You dont know when things take wrong turn.

My rating- 3/5

The story is along the lines of movies like Love Story and Autumn in Newyork. It is short n kind of sweet too. The most distinguishing factor was the author has upped his game in terms of writing. I had reviewed his previous two books. Think his writing is more polished, assured and has a better structure now. Didn't read bad anywhere. Also, the author has a talent for writing romantic moments. I liked it. I haven't read Nicholas Sparks but seen his movies. Guess they read similar. Minuses would be that it is not that sophisticated a work though it has its minor twists which worked for me. The final genre defying twist is more of an afterword and you can either take it or dismiss it.

Actual rating; 3.5 stars (0.5 stars reduced owing to the short length of the book)

I have read this author’s work priorly. So definitely I had to pick it up. It’s a really short read that can be read in an hour or two. So I will superficially discuss the plot. The protagonist of the story are Samuel and Sara. They are in relationship for long. Almost for three years now. But Samuel feels that he doesn’t love Sara anymore. He tried to breakup with her twice but couldn’t. One day he gather courage and did. But something happened. Check the book to know entire story. I liked the book. It’s a short, light and quick read. I liked the major plot twist. I wanted to read more but it’s still enjoyable. Author has written story to the point without unnecessary pulling the matter. The language of the book is lucid that way everyone can read it. Overall I enjoyed it.

Short read but a deep one nonetheless. Samuel and Sara’s journey from love to loss to love again was warm and nice to read about. I enjoyed the narration how to the point it was. It captured the characters and conveyed their feelings in a simple yet interesting manner. I liked how the story turned out and even if it was predictable at times it was something that kept your attention.

I’d first like to point out how much the writer’s writing style has improved over the few years. I’ve read all his books and the quality only goes up. This book was short, sweet, and full of twists and turns. Every time you would settle down thinking “Okay, everything is okay now. No more problems for this couple” a new issue would arise. The story was a proper reflection of how normal romantic relationships are’ you are in love, but then you fall out, you fall back and you stay with the person through thick and thin. I really liked the characters, all of them, it felt like I knew them. I wasn’t a big fan of the story at the start but I got really emotionally invested after a few pages in. I enjoyed it and I do recommend it, it’s a quick read and it will stay with you for a long time.

First of all a huge thanks to the author and the team for sharing a copy of the book. I have been fortunate enough to read previous works of the author and have been a fan of his work ever since. This book is definitely another feather in his cap. It doesn’t end here, is a different approach and style of writing from the author. I felt it was completely different from his usual narration style.

The book just blew my mind because right in the beginning itself, the author has given away the ending. Yup that’s right you open the book and the first line itself tells you what will eventually happen in the end. So that is what kind of piqued my curiosity as to how the author will manage to draw my attention from there. Honestly, I was convinced that the author wouldn’t be able to pull it because we already know what will happen. But he did pull it off and must say did it with brilliance

The book rolls backwards. So from the present, it goes back to telling us everything that happened in the past. The book majorly plays with the psyche and the relationship factor. It is in this relationship factor and the fast-paced narration that the author manages to glue you to the book. There is a subtle game that undergoes in the narration which keeps you addicted to the pages.

One of the strong hit I received was towards the end. Till the last page the book was completely going at a smoother pace and suddenly towards the end, the book hits you with a cliffhanger and that’s it…… the book leaves you at the cliff
(Holy...... now I see the title aptness.... Damn !! it doesn't end here.)

There better be a sequel otherwise I am going to hunt you down

One of the best parts about the book is the pace. You pick up the book and before you know you have dived right into it and emerging after only finishing it. The story, pace and narration just keep you on board and it hardly takes an hour. A perfect train read or a flight read. Quick, grasping and entertaining. Oh, and you might want to keep a box of tissues handy.

While reading this book, my heart was overwhelmed with a single thought that was prevalent throughout the novella. How can love become so powerful yet very powerless at the same time? J. Alchem has transported the readers to the universe of Samuel and Sara where Samuel finds himself out of love after being in a steady relationship with Sara for the past few years. When he made his mind to break up and become free from this relationship, a sudden, bitter truth is revealed and some hidden emotions overpower the apparent practical decisions.

I am not exaggerating a bit when I say this novel has the power to make you fall in love with your partner all over again. You must have seen some social media pages that give you goosebumps reading them as they feel relatable. The same way this novella left an impact inside me. This novella has a hint of belongingness to your partner. You may receive that extra push to work for your relationship and not take the person for granted.

At the same time, with the lightest touch of his sentences, the author has been successful in portraying how we all are very helpless in front of the divine creator. The author illuminates the readers with the very thought of how powerless we become when we love someone deeply and yet be unable to do something for him/her. In short, through these 44 pages, the author will play a roller coaster ride with the tender hearts of the readers and leave you at a cliff-hanger.

Honestly, I thought the ending was going to be very predictable but the way the author estranges you at the climax to search for the truth exhibits a clever move by him. I will be waiting for the next book eagerly.

My Rating: 4.5/5 (It did not get a 5 star from me because I felt it was somehow incomplete)

Who doesn't like a fast paced, quick reads. And novellas are best for just that.

This particular Novella goes over the story of Samuel & Sara, a couple who were breaking the norms by staying in a live-in relationship. It speaks about how a boy who wanted nothing more than to get rid of his girlfriend (break up with her) ends up tending to her when he finds out that she's terminally ill & has a very short time to live.

What I like about the book is how fast paced it was however I'm not sure how to feel about the plot, as the story may have felt a bit forced. I found the story very similar to 'A walk to remember' by Nicholas Sparks but this book sadly couldn't make the same positive impact.

A boy who falls out of love with his girlfriend, fails to get out of the relationship when she finds out that's she's dying. He tends to her because he's sympathetic however ends up falling back in love with her again. There's not much information about what caused the fall out, however it seemed like he wasn't really in love in the end as he just seemed mostly just guilt ridden & sympathetic towards her.

In my opinion maybe I would have understood the story better if there was more information on how the fall out came to be. Maybe its just me but when I see characters falling in and out of love, it's often difficult to understand or relate to what's happening without having much context around it.

Good love tale

A beautiful love story with a pinch of gloom at the backdrop. Yet a great melodramatic screenplay and an easy-going blueprint.

The characterizations of Sara and Samuel are amazing and are fixating the audience to the verge of the plot without moving distant to the story.

Sara a fragile girl, after being into four relationships and ending up with four of them and finally into a relationship status with Samuel. She completes submerged in love with him but fate has its terms to her.
A great catastrophe shakes her life and turns it upside down.

Samuel on the other hand wants to break up with her but couldn't due to drastic reasons. A quick read that satiates the affective reading about the love bondage.

An expected twist, in the end, gives rise that there will be a sequel to this. Looking forward to looking at the sequel as well soon.

Will, she battles it? What reasons made Samuel to withdrew from a breakup with Sara?

Read this quick tale to know more.

J. Alchem strikes again… with another poignant tale. An emotional short ride which rightly justifies the very first quote the author presents:
“There are languages to say what you exactly feel… And there is love”
The deep feeling of love or better the realisation of love as brought out by this short story acts as a prelude to what actually happens to most of us. The author beautifully captures the emotional state of the protagonist couple. He also, through this small but enchanting narrative, proves that the true value of anything, whether human or object is realized only once it is being taken or has already been taken away from us.
The message conveyed is crystal… Love unconditionally, love deeply, love passionately… Cherish the moments you have with your loved ones. Live the moments… Value the person you are with. Life is transient and we never know when our paths diverge in the journey of life.
It is better to be grateful and love what we have than to regret when it is no more.
The only let down is the length of the story. One can read it in a breath. The author could have elaborated the tale which could have churned the emotions of the reader on a deeper and intimate level.
But then, the happy note for the readers is that Alchem ends the story on thrilling note… “Was Sarah murdered?”. The last page suddenly alters the genre of the novela. Now that’s a smart and probably an aberrant move.
Waiting for the sequel…

It was a short read. At first I found the story pacing a bit slow in the beginning. It took me a bit of time to get invested in it. One thing I liked is how the author unfolded the story. The ending was unpredictable and I liked the twist at the end. The ending left me wanting for more.
The author was also able depic the character's emotions really well.
It's a good one time read. I do recommend it.

First of all thanks Sidra for providing me with the book.
It doesn't end here is a love story of Sara Mathews and Samuel Dias. Who are in a live-in relationship in mumbai. Samuel plans for a break up with Sara as there was many misunderstandings between them. But, when he tries to do the same he is given a earth shattering news from sara which makes Samuel forget about his break up plan but starts loving her more. He comes to know that sara has blood cancer.
Remaining story is how Samuel tries to keep her happy and grants her small wishes like etching a tattoo, paragliding and having her own small dog.
There is a major twist in the end which keeps the book related to the title it doesn't end here.
Overall i would say its a cute heart warming love story and a good Goodread.... :)

This is the ninth book of this author.

The protagonists were Samuel and Sara. They were living in for the past three years. Days go on Samuel lost his love for Sara. So he decided to break up with her. He started avoiding her calls and texts. He started staying away from her.

Then one day Sara revealed she is suffering from blood cancer. She doesn't gonna live more days. This news affected Samuel so much.

What happened then? Will he stay with Sara else he leaves Sara? What are the things they faced after hearing that news? Was the remaining story of the book.

It's a short and very emotional read. It's just 44 pages so you can finish it in one go.

The language used was lucid so beginners can also read this.

I recommend this to read.

We often struggle to balance work and life, basically professional and emotional goals. If we prioritise one, we lose out on the other. J. Alchem weaves a beautiful short story around the same where a love is found, lost somewhere along the professional pursuit, and then rediscovered as priorities change again.
The story is perhaps not the most relatable one, but journey reflects relationship issues rampant in our highly ambitious generation, where some personal things are taken for granted and then slowly the emotional goals wither away. Do not apply logic to emotions, just go for the journey.

This is a beautiful romantic book with a lot of emotions going on. There is love, seperation, falling in and out of love well in short all the perspectives of love are being included in this tiny book. The plot is a well paced plot with nice description of the lead characters and their emotions. The book focuses on the modern society, how fast the young generation falls for someone and even falls out of love too but in the end, the situation and time let them know what they exactly want.
The cover and title are apt for the plot.
The narration is clear and crisp. The language used is lucid. I finished the book in one sitting only.

This is my third or fourth book from the same author.
I think the best thing about these books are the simple short stories and poems, written in a very subtle manner. And you can pick them up on a day when you prefer a light reading, and finish off in a single sitting.
This book in particular doesn't offer a story that you might not have heard before, but it's simple and sweet.

A beautiful tale of two lovers. They live together, happily in love but then the guy falls out of love. The classic tale of every couple. But what happens next is pretty tragic. The girl, Sana falls ill and Samuel is about to lose her forever.
Will there be any regrets?
A must read for romance lovers

Firstly, thanks to the author for providing me this book for free.A dying woman's relationship with a man who wants to break up with her is actually the crux of the story of this book. But,if story ended with the death of the woman, how would it be a J.Alchem work!!!There has to be a twist and that twist comes in the last page of the book. The editing could have been better but the end is just brilliant. It outshines everything.Classic J.Alchem stuff!!!

'It Doesn't End Here' by J. Alchem is a romantic story which revolves around Samuel and Sara who have been in a relationship for 3 years. The couple is going through a rough patch and Samuel had already made two attempts at breaking up with her, in which he has failed. He suddenly comes to know something which changes his life and his emotions for Sara completely. What could be that news? Read the book soon to find out the answer.

This is very small read with less than 50 pages and that's why there is not much of a character development. But I still found both the characters very appealing. But my absolute favourite is Comet, the dog owned by the couple. The plot of the book is very interesting and it keeps you hooked throughout.
I found Sara's parents absolutely amazing.
Their characters showed that all the tasks should be divided as per capability and availability, and not on the basis of Stereotypical gender roles.

The title of the book is apt and the cover is simply beautiful. The twist at the climax was completely unexpected and I cannot wait for the second part to arrive. I must say that author has an unique way of narrating the story which makes you wish for more.

When I reached the final page, my heart wanted to go back to the beginning and experience it all again. Even though the book is a short read, it is filled with many heartbreaking and emotional moments I didn’t think my heart could endure.

This is an easy to read, funny, romance novel with some deep and serious emotions and relationships. It can really make one think that why can't we realize the value of people in our life before It's too late!
You can choose this lighter read if you are struggling to get through anything heavier.

FAB - BOOK REVIEW OF ''It doesn't end here " by J. Alchem

Genre: Fiction (Contemporary Romance)

Rating - 4/5

"It doesn't end here " by J. Alchem. You might already know that I love reading the romance genre a lot because most of them are always happy endings! And that makes me feel satisfied. But in this book, it is different. I really liked the cover page, and that too it is a love story, so I thought to pick this book up and read it. I should say that this is a short read, but the thing is, we will connect to the characters a lot because of the writing style as the author has beautifully explained about the characters and everything related to them in a short time that is at the introduction of the characters made me connected to all the characters in the book. I don't know why but I cried when something happened in the book, which changed the plot. It is only because I connected to the characters so well and thought they were real. The writing is not too descriptive, and the narration is just too excellent. Talking about the book, it is about our protagonists Samuel and Sara, who love each other, but later on, in their lives, Samuel finds that they have lost their spark as a couple, and things are not as exact as they were before for them.
.
As Samuel felt that they had lost that spark, he thought that he should say goodbye to this relationship, so no matter how many times he tried to convince Sara, she didn't accept it. But one day, something happens which will make him lose Sara forever. This is the main plot of the book, and the language is lucid. And this is a light and a cozy read for me, and I highly recommend this book to y'all.

🌿 'It Doesn't Ends Here' by J. Alchem, potrays a heartwarming story that ends with a gloomy note

🍁Love has a numerous ways of finding it's way back in our hearts even when it seems impossible, This story somewhat depicts that.

🌿The story revolves around Sara and Samuel who are live in partners and were together for three years. But Samuel realized later that he has fallen out of love year back and have attempted to end the relationship three times before but his efforts went in vain. I never get this falling out of love and even in this story the reason why he suddenly fell out of love isn't mentioned properly. But this time when Samuel was determined to break this painful news to Sara. Sara gave him another news that left him dumbstruck.

🌿It is the journey they took hereafter that rekindled the lost love for Sara in Samuel's heart and he understood that he may not be able to be at peace and happy without her. He needs her by his side.

🌿This book is a beautiful and sweet story of love with a painful ending and hopefully their will be a sequel of this book that may bring some sunshine.

🍁"Love never dies, It Fizzles out maybe, but it stays there in your heart buried by emotions controlling you. Once the fire is rekindled love breathes a new life."

🌿The cover of the book is absolutely adorable and the title made sense at the end and also hints towards the fact their will be a sequel where this story may come to an fruitful end. The language is lucid and the writing style is simple yet captivating. A short read which can be finished within a single sitting.

🌿I would recommend this to ones who are looking for a short and enjoyable read.

Sometimes when you want to get your mind out of a relation, it tends to bring you back into it without any reason. It can also be said breaking a relationship is much more difficult than making a new one. This theory is well portrayed in the short story by author J. Alchem in book "It doesn't end here". The main protagonists in this are Samuel and Sara. They have been in live in relationship for last 3 years but suddenly due to lack of time that Samuel can give to their relationship makes him think of breaking it. Sara still loves him unconditionally but Samuel gets an intention to break the relationship. The day he plans to tell the truth upfront to Sara, he gets to know that Sara is diagnosed with Cancer and that too in stage 3. The next few days or the days left for Sara to live makes Samuel feel that he was still in love with Sara and they both spend it together. The story in the end says "It doesn't end here" denoting that a sequel will be there to this story. The story makes you feel emotional at points. What happens to Sara? Will Samuel be able to break up with her? This all is way down in this book.
The cover of book seems romantic one. The language used is simple and there are not much characters in the story to keep it short. This is a short read of 44 pages and can be completed in less than an hour. Story is straight and predictable except the ending of it. The way love between the characters and their feelings are shown is worth reading.

MY RATING 3.5/5 STARS
Sara’s feelings got shattered when she got to know that she is suffering from third stage of blood cancer, all she wanted to do is spend time with her loved ones and live her last few days cheerfully. Her live in boyfriend Samuel on the other hand who was thinking he was not in love with her anymore yet helps her allot giving all the love, care and strength by making her happy in each moment and ended up realizing he has never unloved her. Samuel gift her a small and cute puppy to distract her from the current situation and make her more happy and also plan nine wishes of Sara to fulfill before she leaves the world. She spend her last few days with her family and Samuel in Goa, but the story takes turn at last when sara lays on her death bed proposing Samuel and the postpartum reports says a different about her death ‘ that her blood cancer was injected ‘ Was it a planned murder? Who wanted her dead?
This short romantic read of 44 pages will take you to a journey of love, care and empathy. This book can be finished within half an hour and the writing style of the author was quite simple and understandable by any age group. The twist was unexpected and thrilling made me wonder who could it be and who wants to murder a sweet women. Surely will wait for the second part to find out.

A book that leaves you wanting for more.

My ratings: 3.8/5
Samuel and Sara have been together for the last three years. As per Sara, everything is going fine. But Samuel doesn’t feel the same way. He is planning to break up with Sara. But right before he can do that, Sara breaks unexpected news that holds Samuel back. Will their relationship survive these challenging times?

What I liked about the book:
->The plot doesn't have twists until the very end (which turns out like an Oh My God! moment) but manages to keep us hooked.
-> The story is a reflection of how romantic relationships normally work. At first, you are in love, but then you slowly fall out; then you fall back and you stay with the person through thick and thin.
-> It makes you think that the story is a feel-good, done, and dusted story of romance during chronic illness, but it turns out much darker.

Quotable quotes:
-> There are languages to say what you exactly feel.
And there is love.
-> Love never dies. It fizzles out maybe, but it stays there in your heart buried by emotions controlling you. Once the fire is rekindled love breathes a new life.
-> Smiling is contagious.
->Stereotypical gender roles were never specified in their home. . The tasks had always been divided as per capability and availability.
