Tequila Sunset by L.M. Mountford

Short, hot, steamy story that sees Cassandra’s fantasy fulfilled out by the pool starring the man she has dreamed about for years. Age-gap lusty tale of a young woman and her BFF’s father hitting it off rather well when alone together and the timing is perfect. We don’t learn a lot about the two who indulge but know they were more than compatible…at least for the afternoon. Both were empowered by the tryst and who knows whether it was a one and done or more might follow…

This short story was super steamy and had a fun, exciting story line. Cassandra had just got dumped and was on vacation with her best friend and her best friend's dad, David. Cassandra was really bummed and didn't want to do anything. When her best friend left to go shopping, David came out to sit with Cassandra by the pool. Cassandra had been crushing on David forever. When she asked him to help her put suntan lotion on things got really steamy between them. Such a wonderful short read.

Casey goes on a tropical vacation with her best friend and finds herself attracted to David, her friends newly divorced dad. Short and sexy and some quick action on a sun lounger. This was a quick short read that delivers on taboo, forbidden age-gap romance.

Cassandra is coming off a bad breakup and thinks that vacationing with her best friend will take her mind of her failing love life. She didn't foresee spending alone time with David, her bestie's very single and very hot dad!

I loved this quick romp (literally!). We get a quick intro to the main characters, a smooth build up to their attraction and an ending that will leave you wanting more :)

I honestly wish this would turn into a full fledged novel because I need to know what happens after the party. Does their relationship grow into something lasting? Will there be drama between the best friends? The ex-wife? Is this a no-strings fling or will deeper feelings lead them to a HEA?

This was a first by this author but I'll definitely be adding more to by tbr :)

SPOILER-Y EXTRAS:

Ages : Not specified but Cass is in her early 20s and David is in his mid to late 40's (give or take a few).

Heat Level: 5/5 There is only 1 sex scene but it's definitely on the spicy side with plenty of dirty and explicit sex talk.

OM/OW drama : None. Cass' ex is mentioned and so it the ex-wife but nothing major.

Kinks : Dirty talk, bare-back sex

Triggers : None.

HEA/HFN : This is read as a one and done type of scenario. There is little to no emotional build up, just physical chemistry between the MCs. There's potential for more but this leans more towards pure erotica writing. No HFN or HEA.

Stacey goes with her friend Cassandra to visit her father on vacation as a way to cheer her up when her boyfriend ends things with her. They are being lazy and having some girl time. Her friend wants to go out shopping but Stacey just wants to stay in so she tells Cassandra to go ahead without her. David is drawn to the fun the girl's were having when he couldn't get what he wanted down. So he decided to take a break and was surprised to see just Stacey there and his daughter gone. Sparks fly between them and soon they give into the temptation they have been fighting. Will this be something serious? What will Cassandra think about them being together?

This is a great story that will captivate you from beginning to end. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

A short story told in the third person with a sexy build up to one heck of a steamy sex adventure! I have yet to read anything from The Lord of Lust that I haven’t liked, and I think this may be my new favorite.

David is a divorced father to Stacey and an author on vacation when his daughter and her best friend Cassandra come to visit for a week. Stacey wants to cheer up Cass as her boyfriend just broke up with her. David is trying to work thru writers block when Cass and David find themselves alone at the house one afternoon...you’ll have to read the book for the rest of the story!

First read from this author, and I loved it! Great short read, perfect for when lounging around the house on a weekend. I was sad it was as short as it was, was really hoping to get some more dirty, steamy scenes. I could tell they had a lot of chemistry together.
Loved the character build up, the sexual tension between Cassy and David aka Mr. Street. Oh yea, I loved it when she kept calling him Mr. Street, just made it more dangerous for me. Being that she was his daughters’ best friend, loved that angle of it all too.
Read this on my tablet so I had to use my other hand to fan myself. Yes, it was that steamy. I definitely spent the rest of the day downloading new reads because if they were as good as this one then I don’t plan on going anywhere the rest of the week!

They go to Stacey's dad's villa in Gibraltar. Stacey's dad, David, is a single hot silver fox author that Cassandra has fantasized about for years. David can't help but notice Cassandra, no matter how much he chastises himself for it as she is his daughter's best friend and he has known her since she was a little girl. Taking a much needed break from his writer's block, he heads down to the pool to find Cassandra there by herself. Will their attraction cross a line and fulfill some fantasies?.

Tequila Sunset by L.M. Mountford is the tantalizing story of David and Cassie. She’s visiting her friend over break…but, decides to stay at the house with her friend’s father…he’s just working the whole time. But, working at what??

This was an Age-Gap story that found myself really entranced with!!! It is a delightful escape, and the connection between the characters feels genuine and gentle. I loved the back-and-forth between the two characters and how hard they tried to ignore their feelings!!! A wonderful, steamy read!!

The girls decided a trip was in order after Nathan broke up with Cassandra. Of course Stacy ran to her father to ask if they could stay at the villa. With him already there working, it was easy as pie for them to stay as well. But would the trip help Cassandra get over Nathan?

“You know that they say, the best way to get over a bad break up is getting under a hot lay…”

Cassandra has always fantasized about her friend’s dad but she never though those dreams would become reality….

This was a fun and quick read!

"Tequila Sunset" is an extremely sensual and hot, but very short story.
The plot is minimal and there is no actual HEA.
The thing is, i really like the way this author writes, her scenes are very well written (maybe a little OTT), i wish i could read something with an actual full story, i believe it wouldn't disappoint.
Still, i will read more.

This is a very short, highly smutty novella about a man with writer's block who is very tempted by his daughter's best friend during a vacation.
He's divorced, she's on a hurtful reboud and they are both adults - thank God.
The scene - because it is pretty much just one scene - is very hot and arousing even, dare I say, but I am not the biggest fan of this trope, and while not everything needs to be deep, I feel like this was very shallow as far as reasoning or feelings go, especially given the context.
And I didn't love the language,
So yeah, hot but not my taste,.

This was a quick but spicy and exciting read. Cassandra is a fantastic, lively, and smart girl. Cassandra goes with her friend to her vacation house after being dumped by her boyfriend. One evening left alone by her friend; she was enjoying the pool. Cassandra meets her friend's father, a charming and sexy man. The two have fun; they talk and laugh together until something snaps between them—pure passion and lust.

If you're looking for a spicy and quick read, this book is for you.

My, oh my!!! Love taboo romance? Love sexy taboo romance!!??!!

Your hour or so might leave you panting!!!

Mr. Mountford certainly knows how to get a ladies panties and guys boxers or briefs in a knot!

Get Under Someone New To Get Over Someone Old -
Wow! I am shocked my IPad didn’t explode, with the level of heat emanating throughout the story. All I can say is “Bravo L. M. Mountford”, because I will like to see anyone read this book and not be affected. You will either immediately need a cold shower or need to drag your partner to the nearest flat surface, to engage in a mind-blowing tryst. I will definitely recommend you get this book and enjoy it to the fullest.

Thought the story line sounded good but there was no foreplay into their time together the whole story was only one sexual interaction that dragged on forever no scintillating conversation and nothing happened afterwards no talk of the future no confrontation with daughter story was just the one sexual interaction that took way too long can’t believe I paid 2.99 this should have been a prologue to buy the book because it was just a teaser writer needs to finish the story

I received Tequila Sunset by L.M. Mountford as part of a boxset through Bookfunnel in return for an honest review. Cassey's ex just broke up with her saying she was too boring and believes she is a plain Jane so when offered a trip to her friend's family Vila she goes. One problem though, she is attracted to her friends father and discovers she may not be as plain as she thought. I enjoyed reading this book which is part of the two book set of Romancing the Tropics. This book is available individually and as part of a set. Both books are standalone. They are both included on Amazon

This short age-gap story is hot, hot, hot. Cassandra has been attracted to her friend Stacy’s father, David, for as long as she could remember. David is newly divorced and when his daughter and her friend, Cassandra, come to vacation at his seaside home, he sees her for the first time as the beautiful woman she is. When Cassandra and David are left alone at the villa, their attraction will not be denied. Her inexperience and innocence calls to him and his dominance and dirty-talk set her on fire. Well written, full of drama, steamy scenes and a fast paced read. This book will keep you reading on the edge of your seat till you're done. Cassandra- Cassie- is dumped by her boyfriend so to cheer her up, her friend Stacey suggest that they spend some time at her father's home. Lots of action steamy of course takes place there. Stacey's Dad, David is also there. The chemistry between Cassie and David hit it off and so heir fun begins. Quick read. Would recommend to all.

Holy hotness! Older man and younger woman a taboo fantasy.
This is a quickie read so perfect for a train or bus ride depending the destination length. The pleasure will flow through you, maybe a quick read before a shower instead of a train or bus ride. L.M. certainly knows how to make you..... L.M. can definitely write the smexiest stories, easy to follow and totally pulls you in to the end. Great characters with a good story line.

Ok my…..Tequila Sunset is an intense, short, very hot read. It’s a forbidden relationship and it is hot. Totally consensual and no judgments here. L.M. Mountford, author, wrote a short scene and it was sooo hot and explosive. I would have liked a longer story but if you want a short, hot, steamy book then this is for you. Tequila Sunset is an erotica story (there is a difference between erotica and erotic romance and this is totally an erotica story).

This author calls himself the "Lord of Lust" and this book is a prime example of that. I wouldn't call this "romance." While this is sort of what I expected (and didn't care for), there are some readers who may be looking for this type of story. If you want a book of dirty talk to stimulate your libido, this is it.

Hot for her bestie's dad - Cassandra has known Mr. Street since she was a kid. He took her and his daughter Stacey to weekend dance classes, for goodness sake. But that doesn't stop either of them from indulging under the hot Spanish sun. Steamy AF super taboo tale that credits the author. The more I read by him, the more I get the last name.
