Four years ago, Addy Legare called off her wedding, moved to another state, and has avoided her hometown ever since. But when she unexpectedly loses her job at a prestigious Atlanta PR firm, Addy decides a trip back home to South Carolina might be exactly what she needs to clear her head. It's basically a free beach vacation, so how bad could it be? At least, that's what she tells herself.
Eating her mother's delicious home-cooking, grabbing coffee daily with her best friend, and discovering an unexpected chemistry with her brother's best friend definitely makes the stress of applying for new jobs easier to bear. Even when finding a job proves tougher than she expected, Addy gladly extends her visit and soaks up as much sun, sand, and summer romance as she can.
There's just one problem.
Her ex-fiance still lives in her hometown...
...and he's been holding a grudge for the last four years.
E.C. Woodham is a Charleston, SC-based author of new adult novels. She has been writing stories almost since she learned to spell. Though writing has always been her true passion, she obtained a Bachelor’s in Business Administration with a degree in Marketing from Georgia Southern University in 2015. Following graduation, she continued to write while working full-time and actually wrote her first full draft of a novel while working the late-night shift at the Savannah International Airport.
Woodham has loved the South Carolina Lowcountry since she was a child and vacationed on Edisto Island, SC every summer, but she never imagined that she would end up moving to the Charleston area in 2016.
When she isn’t writing, Emma is working on her Charleston lifestyle blog, Peaches & Palmettos, and exploring Charleston and its extensive restaurant scene with her husband, Ryan, and their two dogs: Goose & Poppy.
Loved my first read (an autographed copy) by this author and it definitely won't be my last. I enjoyed all the Lowcountry everything that was filled in this novel. Close to the end was a bit tense for me. Being the wife of a retired Lowcountry LEO I was feeling all the seriousness in those chapters with Remy. I can't wait to see if there's more to come.
