This volume ends the Mildian Arc and begins the really long Blue Guardians Arc. As much as I enjoy the sgort Mildian arc because, hello Sieg Hart. The Blue Guardian Arc starts with a ridiculous dance contest, like what???
One can argue that this volume’s main focus is Sieg Hart. I actually like the way the volume flows and it was almost enough to push it to a 4-star read! 3.5 for those who do the half star system. Sieg remembers his hometown differently than what is before him in this volume. The reason for that becomes apparent in this very volume which to me is a cool reveal. Hiro Mashima continues to do great things and at this point (probably earlier but it is hard for me to distinguish) I feel that Hiro’s art is full level of how Fairy Tail begins. Please stop and give praise to this creator…who has done so many series but look at this resume! Rave Monster! Fairy Tail!! Eden’s Zero!!! The formula of fun and adventure is hard to outdo.
haven't read these in years- I recommend this series to a friend and thought I'd look back it. the writings a bit rougher than I remember but it still has heart.
Sieg Hart gets his own half-volume as he tries to track down the final Sinclaire in his hometown, but finds things are not at all as he remembers them. It gets worse when he realizes why. Meanwhile, there's a big dance competition going on, and the crew, low on both cash and supplies, have to decide who's going to enter, but it looks like the competition will be fierce in more ways than one. Back to the series being fun! *** ½
WOW. Sieg is the GOAT. A whole city and a seven day fight! Can’t touch him. Not to mention he was able to make them have a change of heart. This was his time to shine and he was glorious.
