Love is known to pull your heartstrings like a puppeteer. And The Hive, along with twenty brilliant writers, takes up the role to bring you this concoction of love stories.

So join us as we read the unwritten story of a moonlight affair. The girl in the forest, whose chance encounter with whispering hues of a technicolor love, brought her out of the cage.
Take me to your heart, Padmini says, her perfume reminding him of the daffodils of the Yorkshire moors, of forsaken flowers and forbidden frontiers. They walk hand in hand into the sunset, hoping to learn love in 30 days; him, thinking of balconies, booze, and breeze shooting with her, while she dances in the rain and whispers, love me in your dreams.
He wonders if that's an illusion called Love. Is love virtually even possible?
But she refuses and screams, "Silly! It's crazy, stupid love."
And they dance until they heave and declare, "Hey! You cannot just end love."

We are The Hive Publishers, your neighborhood publishing collective that believes no good story should go unread. We have come a long way in living our values, doing it without ever charging a penny for submissions.

Any time is a good time to read about Love...and February even more so!
A warm and fuzzy thank you to team Hive for putting together such a beautiful anthology about the most beautiful human emotion, Love💙
As we have all come to expect from Hive offerings, it is a perfect mix of sweet, bittersweet and some 🤯 stories and not the usual run of the mill romance ( thank goodness 😛 and bless you guys for that! And although it's impossible to choose a favourite but 'A Chance Encounter',' Love me in your dreams' and 'Daffodils of the Yorkshire Moors' were outstanding in terms of storyline as well as narrative. Keep rocking team Hive.
Here's wishing you all a huge and well deserved success with this one❤️❤️❤️

#Love, just as its title suggests, offers you a multifaceted take on the complex emotion that everyone yearns for but no one strives for. Like every Hive offering so far, this book is an anthology. This time, the genre they have chosen is one that suits the flavour of the month: romance. I had assumed that 20 stories of love will lead to an overdose either of sweetness or of cheesiness.🤭 Thankfully, it doesn't happen as #Love strikes the right balance across a whole range of emotions. The stories here include the heady rush of first love, mature love, lost love, reunited love, secret love, brazen love, cruel love, forgiving love,... As the hashtag indicates, the book also includes stories about the modern take on love. So if you thought that the book would be a unidimensional book full of romantic mush, you couldn't be more wrong.

I enjoyed almost all of the stories in this book. (18/20, to be precise. The remaining two were nice enough stories but too filmy for me.🙈) Some left me smiling, some left me sad, some left me surprised at the end. A couple of the tales even shocked me by the turn they took. Each story offers a distinct take on love so you don't feel like there is any repetitive overlap across the tales.

I hope you relish the experience of falling in love with #Love, just as I did. Just as you would take time to invest in a relationship, take the time to savour this book slowly. You will certainly enjoy the book better that way. After all, there are instances of love at first sight, but love is always stronger when it builds up over time.

My 17th read of 2021 is an anthology of short stories by various writers. It is by far the best anthology I’ve read this year.

Today, it has become the norm to put as less as two-three short stories together into an anthology. The Kindle platform has enabled even single short stories to be called a ‘book’. While non-readers may feel triumphant about having read another ‘book’, avid readers may be left feeling cheated when the reading ends too soon. In this regard, ‘Love’ is an anthology that sports a good length and a decent number of pages, with 20 stories for readers to enjoy.

Stories

Each story is different, some of them almost belong to entirely different genres, including paranormal and magical realism. The common thread that runs along all of them is the theme of love, in all its myriad forms. It is a sheer delight to devour the varying writing styles and expertise of the authors, all in one book.

The most impactful story for me was ‘Take Me to Your Heart’ by Pallavi Sawant Uttekar. The angst of suppression and loss, centered around the setting of a medical college, is showcased with panache. I also liked ‘Hand in Hand into the Sunset’ by Narayani Manapadam, with its distinct south Indian flavor in vocabulary and mannerisms of the characters.

Another poignant story is the one by Alpna Sharma titled ‘Of Forsaken Flowers and Forbidden Frontiers’, a classic heart-wrenching saga. So is the tale by Alipi Das, 'The Daffodils of the Yorkshire Moors', which resonates with delicious literary descriptions and sports nuances of timeless poetry of the lake poets. ‘The Unwritten Story’ by Sarves is a compelling read as well, with the right amount of humour and suspense woven into a tragic tale.

Narrative

It is sheer joy to read vocabulary that is flawless. It is well acknowledged by most readers that Indian authorial works are bound to have Indianisms, replete with what is now commonly referred to as Indian English. While this is becoming more acceptable by the day, seasoned readers however, may feel the jarring experience of constant grammatical incorrectness and common errors that are missed by the editing team of the publishers, in the recent spate of self-published Indian works.

One therefore prepares oneself to encounter ample errors in most Indie books, especially anthologies. This book turned out to be pleasant surprise, with its top-notch language and perfect vocabulary juxtaposed with compelling narration and multi-genre story-telling. Kudos to the editorial team that has ensured this challenging feat.

Conclusion

I rate the book 4.7 out of 5. Putting together such a sheer number of stories is not an easy task and the Hive team has brought out a compelling anthology.

Overall, a must-read, especially for readers who like short stories with good quality work.

Love makes the world go round. And, that’s the theme of this book. There are twenty wonderful stories dealing with different kinds of love. Old love, new love, revenge love, breaking the norms love, modern love, classic love, fierce love, never-expressed love, beyond this realm love, physical love. You will definitely find these stories intriguing. Some will sound familiar and comforting, some are new age stories and will make you smile. So, every reader will find their heart strings strummed.

All the stories are written beautifully. The language, the flow, the emotions and the imagery keep you glued to the book and turning the pages. The publishers have done a great job of selecting stories that are a pleasure to read. According to them they have chosen stories that are guaranteed to engulf your heart and soul with emotions of joy, sorrow, elation, depression, faith, hope, despair, longing, lust and loss. And, they are spot on.

Some of my favorites are - Padmini, Hand in hand into the sunset, Love virtually, Of Forsaken Flowers and Forbidden Frontiers, Balconies, Booze, and Breeze Shooting, The Unwritten Story, The Daffodils of The Yorkshire Moors and Take Me To Your Heart.

Love is not in the air, it's in the attitude

If you're tired of mushy, flowery, teddy bear romances, than #Love is for you. Do not let the fact that one of the stories in it is written by me, deter you to acquire this book and enjoy it's various hues of romance. From paranormal romance, to sunset romances. From happy endings to bittersweet reminisces, #Love has it all.

An excellent and eclectic anthology of stories dealing with LOVE in all its forms.

#Love - the name makes you think of geeks and nerds, romancing paramours over the tangled circuits of the internet, their declarations spread over various social media outlets. However, the name proves to be a misnomer and a pleasant one at that.

This anthology of twenty stories deals with love of all kinds: teenage love, sunset love, silent love. It talks of love lost and love found. Of love that imbues the protagonists with courage and hope and loss that breaks their souls into thousand shattered particles. There are love stories in the background of sweet fantasy and some against stark reality. They tell the reader about first love and second chances. About faith, forgiveness, and acceptance. And they are all uniformly well written and tug at the reader's heartstrings. A few of my favourites are A Moonlight Affair, An Unwritten Story, Crazy Stupid Love, The Cage, Love Virtually, Learn Love in Thirty Days, Of Forsaken Flowers and Forbidden Frontiers and Take Me to Your Heart. That's quite some list.

Turn to this book when you're in a mood for something uplifting in these depressing times. The smile at the corner of your lips will tell you, you've made the right decision.

Unique, enthralling, each story holds a different perspective on Love. It takes the reader through different genres, and each story is entwined in deep emotions. One has to read the stories; to get the various aspects and flavours of Love. Some Love for the anthology #Love.
