I challenge you to read this book and not think “oh that happened to me too” in parts. I laughed, I cringed and I hung my mouth open in shock. A very entertaining way to relate a serious message about treating each other with kindness in the dating world and understanding what you want and/or will accept. It’s honest and a brave acknowledgment of decisions made and situations experienced.

This isn’t just a read for those who are online dating. Some of the emotions and thoughts written about are valid in other life scenarios and this book has made me think about future conversations with friends who are currently navigating the ups and downs of dating apps and how we all can contribute to something better.

As the author points out, when it comes to online dating "the odds are good, but the goods are odd." This book proves that's true. By sharing her engaging (sometimes entertaining and sometimes harrowing) personal stories of trying to date these days, Julie Demsey offers readers a cautionary, fascinating tale. There's so much here to relate to, especially for those who are single and navigating the scene. For those already in relationships and out of the hunt, this book is an eye-opener - and you'll be so grateful that you're not out there looking.
