Yuyuko Takemiya (竹宮 ゆゆこ Takemiya Yuyuko) is a Japanese writer of light novels. Takemiya debuted in September 2004 with her light novel series Watashitachi no Tamura-kun (Our Tamura-kun) which first appeared in the autumn 2004 issue of Dengeki hp Special, a special edition version of Dengeki hp. That same month, Takemiya worked on the scenario for the bishōjo game Noel by FlyingShine (also known for creating Cross Channel).

Following the completion of Watashitachi no Tamura-kun, Takemiya began her best-known series, Toradora!, which she declared to be complete in April 2010 after ten volumes and three spin-off books. The first book of her next series, Golden Time, was Dengeki Bunko's 2000th published light novel. Takemiya launched the manga series Evergreen with artist Akira Kasukabe on July 19, 2011 in ASCII Media Works' Dengeki Daioh Genesis quarterly magazine.

How do you deal with a confession from a delirious person who thinks she was talking to somebody else? How do you deal with those feelings when it is mixed in with worries about the future, friendship, finances and your own mother? Not well, at least not until things end up in a clash.

Volume 9 is more drama then comedy, although it was still an interesting read. Some good character development, progress with the occasional absurdity mixed in. The struggles were at least a bit less eye roll worthy as in some earlier volumes. Curious how things will develop...

The story was great a 5/5, but what lowered it a star for me is that out of my memory this one had way too many parts messed up in translating it into English. Like on one page the homeroom teacher is called Koigakubo Yuji when in reality it’s Koigakubo Yuri. On another page from was printed as frok. There were other things too that the English translation editor should have picked up on but didn’t.

Toradora! Vol. 9
Rating: 9/10

...Ryuuji saw the sidewalk lights reflected in her eyes. When she blinked, it was like stars fell from her eyes, glittering with a mysteriously deep color.

There were quite a few typos in this volume, especially towards the end. It was pretty jarring.

So much emotion packed into one volume! The anime didn't follow this volume completely, but I wish it had, it would have had an even bigger impact.

Some very good developments in that one, both in romantic and familial bonds. Also ends in such a way that I had to grab the next volume when I ended this one.
