She quickly takes on more and more responsibility with ease and enthusiasm, until an unexpected visit to the emergency room threatens to bring Cindy’s new career to a grinding halt. Jimmy has a tough decision to make, and with the growing pressure of a new record and a recording contract’s ink that isn’t even dried yet, the rock star and his band need to make some quick, impossible changes. About the Author

Sandra has been writing poems and short stories since middle school, and writing full length, self-published novels since 2010, using several pen names.

Writing full-length steamy romance series has quickly become a love for this author. Her stories have elements of humor, family issues, suspense and personal growth. Her books take the reader right into the bedroom with the characters to feel the same intensity as the lovers do in the story. Sandra's goal is to have the reader rooting for the main couple...and she doesn't disappoint.

You'll find this author working out weekday mornings at ungodly hours. She's gluten and dairy free, and is probably the only person on earth who doesn't do coffee or chocolate.

Her favorite movie is Bohemian Rhapsody, her favorite tv shows are Friends and The Connors. She's also a die-hard Rocky fan and has read the Fifty Shades trilogy and watched the movies more times than she cares to admit.

Sandra is married with two daughters and is a lover of all things four-legged, including her own two furbabies.

The Ford Brothers series focuses on five swoon-worthy brothers who each served in the military, and lost their billionaire father suddenly, which left them to run his airline after his death. Each book features one brother, but they make appearances in all five novels. In case you haven't guessed, the titles in the Ford Brothers series have been inspired by hazard warning signs, an idea the author came up with after completing a health and safety course prior to starting the series.

The Miles for Love series is about unexpected love, and it features the Lynch family; four brothers and one sister, who are each passionate, imperfect, and are just like you and I...but way sexier and with much more interesting lives. They are very individual and each have a unique story to tell.

Cindy and the Rock Star . . .

There are so many things at play here and, mixed among everything going on, there are lots of emotions. Jimmy Trent has a band that is wildly successful. Cindy Kilgore has a husband who cheated, so she left to return home and take care of her mom who had a stroke. An assistant job at a recording studio is a dream come true for her. Twists and turns that follow put all those emotions in an uproar.

The book has a strong story line and believable characters. It will draw the reader in and demand emotional responses to the people you actually care about. How will this all sort out? There is sadness, pain, and heartbreak. But there is also love and family. Grab your copy and get ready for that roller coaster of feelings to race you through the ups and downs. It will be worth it in the end.

Opening Night is book 2 of the Rock Star Romance series by a favourite author of mine Sandra Alex.

This story was an easy to read, easy to slip into story that follows Jimmy Trent and the Brainchild band. Jimmy was sweet and a nice MC a majority of the time. He did and said everything right and then he would become this angry temperamental guy who just became this whole other guy and so angry so quickly as well. Sometimes when this happened it seemed so out of left field and everyone had to keep telling him to calm down all the time. He loved hard and took things very seriously.

Cindy I really enjoyed. She had sass, she had spunk and a great attitude and she sure knew how to handle herself and the whole situation which was great to see a strong FMC.

I kept waiting for the shoe to fall off in this story, well like most stories but it didn't happen. I am not too sure about insta love stories to be honest but this one worked.

Ken's part in this book was a bit sad I have to say. He seemed like a nice guy and most of the time seemed like an errand boy which I wasn't quite sure how I felt about that. His part in this book brought me to tears and how Jimmy was with this part.

The story flowed well and I enjoyed the ending although it all came around really quickly I have to say. Overall, a pretty good second book to this series.

This is book two in A Rock Star Romance Series and it is Jimmy and Cindy's story . Jimmy has played a guitar for many years after his brother Ken showed him how and now he is in The Brainchild Band doing what he loves the most but life always likes to throw you a curve ball that you have to deal with. Cindy couldn't believe that the husband that she loved so much slept with another woman and now all bets are off as she lacks her bags and returns to her home town especially after her mother had a stroke and needs help and that will give Cindy time to decide what to do next with her life. When Cindy gets a job at a recording studio which is a job of a life time she is really excited and that is when she meets Jimmy a distraction that she can't afford to have but what will happen next. There are many twists and turns along with betrayal, loss, hope, love and emotional and difficult situations that keep you on the edge of your seat and I couldn't put this book down as it was a real page turner and totally addictive. Sandra Alex is a brilliant author and writer and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

The band Brainchild is on just coming off the road and they are about to get into the studio. They are all exhausted and Jimmy, the lead guitarist as they are headed home first learns that they have lost their assistant. But Tim, their manager who has been ride or die with them from the beginning, has it handled and will interview her replacement the next morning. But Tim dies suddenly and Jimmy and Ken have to interview Cindy themselves. Cindy has just relocated back to the area to help care for her mother after her ex-husband's cheating ends their marriage. Cindy and Jimmy meet at some of the most stressful times in their lives and they work together, become friends and more as they navigate the good, the bad, the sad, the difficult, betrayal, joy, a whole host of emotions and as a reader I felt swept along on their journey. This was an emotionally powerful, believable book that demonstrates how when life becomes complicated you have to deal but it so much better to deal with a good and trusted partner. Good stuff.

Jimmy Trent had a dream to become a rock star and his band, Brainchild, reached superstar status. It's the last night of their tour and things are going to change for them. Their manager, Tim, dies that night and they're left with one less member of their entourage. Cindy Cilgore learned that her husband was cheating and left him to return to care for her mother. It's perfect timing because she just had a stroke and needs her daughter. Brainchild is in need of a manager, but Jimmy Trent is so impressed with Cindy's capabilities that he makes her his personal assistant. She's quick, friendly and soon has the manager's job, as well. She and Jimmy work closely together and build a special bond. From the first, they seem to be each other's best friend, but Cindy has a secret that could come between them. There's the dark side of rock that they have to deal with, as well as the fallout from personal tragedy. It remains to be seen if they can come out the other side with their love intact. It's a good story with well-written characters, and the real star of the story is Buddy!

Through a strange set of circumstances, Cindy ends up as Jimmy's personal assistant. I love her - after all she went through with her ex-husband, she's stronger than ever. Their story is emotional, with the darkness and grit that sometimes comes in the music business. But there's also a love, as we watch Cindy and Jimmy navigate their story from employee/employer to friends to lovers. As always with this author, the book is so well-written, with a unique story line that kept my interest throughout. If only someone could help in editing this author has great stories and great characters. It's closer to a four star because of that but the misspelled words and too many "honeys" wore me down from four stars. I loved the recording process and how Cindy could step up from her previous job and extend herself into helping this rock group.

I liked how they held respect for each other. It was beautiful.

The drama at end was surprising because we hadn't seen any evidence of it prior. I think it is more realistic than not.
Great work. Sharpen editing and you'd be author to reckon with.

This is my absolute favourite genre rockstars, bands etc I read book 1 in this series and that was amazing but this one is so much better it’s very emotional and there’s only one thing that these characters could rely on was family. I loved the characters and the pain that they went through well I went right along with them, sorry guys no spoilers this story is just too amazing to spoil I loved it and I can’t wait to read book 3 and I definitely recommend this book/ series.

This was heart welming and hear breaking at the same time!
Involves a lot of laughter, a lot of tears and all in between.
But was a real pleasure to read it all the same!
2 broken hearts to help heal each other and find love at the some time... What not to like?
I like this series better and better!

Beautifully written.

This book shattered me at points and made me fall completely in love at other times. I was able to connect so easily to the characters in this book. Jimmy's relationship with Ken really resonated with me and I felt so strongly for his story.

Jimmy lost people that were very close to him and the band. He stood strong through it all. She helped him and the band get through the hard stuff that needed to be dealt with. Jimmy was there for her when she really needed it the most. The love between them was strong. So glad they made it work.

An enjoyable read with a Rock Star going through so many emotional challenges and his new assistant who comes in and rescues him. Ms. Alex takes us through a multitude of emotions before giving us a great HEA. This is a wonderful second book to this series.

I loved this story. Jimmy is the lead guitarist and songwriter for a rock band. Their assistant resigns at the end of their latest tour and their manager has lined up an interview with a possible new assistant, Cindy. But the night they get home, their manager suddenly dies from a massive heart attack, and Jimmy and his brother Ken end up interviewing Cindy. Everything is in in chaos and the phone in their studio is ringing hot. Cindy just steps in calmly and handles the calls and the things that need to be organised so she immediately gets the job.
I love the way the relationship between Jimmy and Cindy develops and that Cindy is such a strong and capable woman in every way. A charming love story with a few twists and turns along the way.
