During the journey to the United States, it is reported that the famous thief Ars�ne Lupine has loaded it on the ship. The guests on board led by Bernard d'Andr�zy tried to eliminate the thief with a small part of the appearance and the first letter of the alias he used. A lady's jewelry was stolen, and d'Andr�zy paid tribute to Miss Nellie. Ganimard, a lupine expert inspector, waited at the destination of the ship and successfully arrested d'Andr�zy's lupine. The jewelry hidden in d'Andr�zy's camera was dropped into the water by the deliberately angry Miss Nelly.Baron Nathan Cahorn received a letter from Ars�ne Lupin, who was imprisoned in La Sant Prison. The thief in the letter told Cahorn to send some of his valuables to He, otherwise he will come on September 27 to steal these valuables. Cahorn seeks out a detective, Ganimad, who happens to be on holiday in the city, and hires him and his two men to guard the property on the announced date.

Leblanc began as a journalist, until he was asked to write a short story filler, and created, more gallant and dashing than English counterpart Sherlock Holmes.
