We received this book at a marriage conference where the authors spoke. I enjoyed their conference so much but felt the love version was much better than in book form. The authors delivery in person was gentle and easy. The hardness of black and white print made it harder to swallow. Sometimes it’s hard as a Christian AND a feminist to reconcile some of the biblical teachings relating to a woman’s role in marriage, the author was almost able to convince me I am equally important which is no small feat I’m stubborn. I really enjoyed the action items at the end of each chapter they helped me to apply these biblical concepts to my modern marriage. I wish the books that the author mentions he starts but never completes would get done I enjoy reading his words. And not to discount Kristie as a coauthor her portion of the conference was my favorite part. Often women in the Bible get a bad reputation but she highlighted even the most complicated women of the Bible with great love and understanding.

This is a very thought-provoking book. It’s a quick and easy read, and I recommend taking the action steps at the end of each chapter.
