Defense attorney Samson Young has an uncanny ability to get even the so-called worst clients off the hook, as he ably demonstrated in Almost Mortal. In Almost Damned, little does Sam know that his most challenging cases are all leading up to one monumental trial, in which he will lay before the Court the visceral complexities of good vs. evil.

As Sam navigates his cases in Bennet County, it becomes increasingly apparent that his clients-old and new-are surprisingly interconnected, especially when old clients rise from the dead. Literally. He and his office are besieged by death threats and mysterious invitations, each one a clue that compels him to dig deeper into his own past. With each new discovery, Sam leads himself and his team deeper into a nether world in an attempt to bring redemption to his toughest clients of all-the descendants of the biblical Fallen Angels who have been walking the earth as humans for centuries, unable to find peace.

Almost Damned by Christopher Leibig is the part two of Almost Mortal, a legal thriller series. Sam Young is a lawyer, who can get even the guiltiest of crooks out of serving time for their crimes. He also has a “special set of skills and powers“ that come in handy for his defenses. Because he does the bidding for the lowest of the low, Sam shouldn’t be surprised when he realizes all the cases he is currently working on are somehow connected. The reader follows along as Sam figures out what the connection is.

I didn’t read the first book, it could have been helpful to have some backstory, but isn’t necessary to read this book. The author has an easy to read/understand writing style. The storyline is slow to start but it gets “curiouser and curiouser” as you get into it. Lots of twists-turns-surprises that make it a great thriller. The sprinkle of supernatural elements will keep the reader hooked!

A sequel to Almost Mortal, in Almost Damned we revisit the adventures of Sam Young. As the title of the book suggests, the story does have religious elements in it. We get more clarity on Sam’s gifts and somehow his powers and the case he is working on in this installment are connected.

This book is completely different from the first one with respect to the approach. Whereas Almost Mortal dealt with a serial killer, Almost Damned deals with fallen angels. Furthermore, we get to know more about Sam’s identity.

The setting is once more in Bennet County. All the cases that Sam has worked in his life appear to form a part of a bigger web and things finally start falling into place for the defense attorney. This second book was equally enjoyable and did not feel dragged at all, as happens with many books that suffer from the “Second Book Syndrome.”

The story does take a 180 degree turn in dealing with the descendants of fallen angels who roam the Earth disguised as humans. The plot grips you from the get go and I couldn’t let it go

Plot :
⚡Almost dammed by Christopher Leibig was a good read. This books genre is thriller, the protoganist of the story is a lawyer Sam Young. The plot shifts between the physical and metaphysical monarchy as Sam Young defends both mortals and fallen angels. He had to fight those cases in the court and that cases are coupled with each other.

⚡To all intents and purposes, there were many characters because as cases are associated to so many characters in the book. This book requires deep alertness and entrallment to read as there were a fair amount of characters in the book and there were many references from the Bible, the Torah and the Book of Enoch are used in this.Nevertheless it's a really great thriller,Almost Mortal.

⚡I look forward to even more answers and context in what I hope 🤞will be the third Leibig novel in the series.

Quick Synopsis: Public defender Sam Young is taking on the toughest case - fighting for Azazel and his exiled fallen angels who want to return to Heaven. At the same time, he also has other cases in his firm that somehow are connected to Azazel and his fallen angels.

My thoughts: I really liked the plot and it was interesting. The writer keeps the reader guessing and it was pretty suspenseful! The arguments Sam made for his clients were intriguing and in some degree made sense. I really liked the trial part. But I did find some parts of the story were confusing and was jumpy.

Overall, this was an interesting read and if you enjoy paranormal legal thriller, you may want to give this series a try!

***Thank you Sabrina Dax PR and author Christopher Leibig for this gifted copy to read and review. All opinions expressed are my own.***

Almost Damned is a sequel to the legal thriller titled Almost Mortal. I've always been a fan of legal thrillers and this one is no different. The plus point to this thriller is the inclusion of the supernatural elements that is very rare to find in other such thrillers. Samson Young, our protagonist deals with the legal cases of both the mortal and immortal. In this book, the cases grow more intense, the danger grows more powerful, and the thrill is at its peak. There's an unknown connection between all his clients living and dead and that makes him fall prey to a series of different complexities and traps further in the book.

The book is wonderfully written. It kept me at the edge of my seat all the while I read it. If you are a fan of Agatha Christie and her thrillers and would love to have a legal twist to the same, this should the book you pick up next.

Highly recommended for a weekend-read!

This was my first legal thriller read and honestly, I very much relished it. I always used to think that thriller is not my genre but this book changed my stance. 'Almost Damned' is the 2nd book in the series and is the sequel to 'Almost moral'. Well, I haven't read the 1st book in the series but still enjoyed this one so I can conclude that it can be read as a standalone too.

The story revolves around the protagonist, Samson Young, a criminal attorney, who fights for the rights of fallen angels and demons. The most interesting thing is that Sam is a half-fallen angel and has psychic ability. In the story, we can see several interconnections between Sam's past and present and also the mortal and immortal world involving the supernatural and biblical elements with a whiff of paranormality.

The courtroom scenes are very profound and have a personal touch as the author himself is an attorney by profession. The plot is very unique and interesting and often involves some unexpected twists. The narration is very descriptive and detailed which depicts the amount of hard work put in by the author. The cases displayed are very intriguing and manages to keep the reader glued throughout. The ending was very unpredictable to me. This was something which I have never read before. So ultimately the story was a complete package of thriller, mystery, paranormality, fantasy and drama.

Overall a great read. Would recommend it to all thriller and crime mystery lovers.

As you know me, I have a special corner for the thrillers, and this read “Almost Dammed” by “Christopher Liebig” is a treat for me with the perfect blend of legal thriller and supernatural and religious elements.
This book is a sequel to “Almost Mortal “but it can be read as a standalone. The plot is based on the fallen angels and the origin of demons. The story revolves around attorney Samson young who is on the way to fight for the justice of a group of exiled angels. I find the theological glimpse of Dan Brown books in it. I do not talk much more about the story as it will be a spoiler.
I enjoyed the legal proceeding narrates in this read. the detailed and skillful written plot shows the personal experience as an attorney and extensive knowledge of religious literature. Overall, for me, it is an entertaining read and recommended to thriller lovers.

Almost Damned is the sequel to Almost Mortal by Christopher Leibig where he continues the story of Samson Young who is a criminal defense attorney and partner in Young and Griffin in Bennett County, Virginia. In this continuation, Sam finds out that his clients aren't all what they seem to be and something bigger is at play. A legal drama but add fantasy and you get what 'Almost Damned' is. But, there's so much more inside .

It was a good read but I found that legal thrillers are not for me. I liked the courtroom drama but didn't really get into it.
And also, it had a creepy & chilling vibe going on, which is so not my genre.
Overall the story was good and interesting what with supernatural beings mixed in. I liked that it all boiled down to Good vs. Evil. It is laden with details, religious teachings, adventures, twists and turns.
I would recommend reading it AFTER the first book otherwise it could easily get confusing and frustrating.

After reading the marvellous ‘Almost Mortal’, I couldn't get my hands on the second book fast enough.
Though it can be read as a standalone, reading the first book in the series is highly recommended to get deeper insights into the character and the background of our Protagonist.

While the first book focused more on the court-room drama, this book felt somewhat a mixture of it as well as it delved on the supernatural facets. It does have the legal aspects, however with a twist, which sets the book apart from its contemporaries.

At least personally for me, I don't think I have ever heard about an attorney, who has some exceptional and distinct skills himself, trying to defend Supernatural beings. So, it is bound to be quite a rare and unequaled treat for the readers.

The most happening point for me in the story was the climax, of course and the witty way in which everything was presented, the hearing which happened not in the usual courtroom, but a place fitting to the presentation.

There were multiple storylines taking place simultaneously in the plot and my mind was literally going overload thinking about all the conspiracies, so I would suggest that you give your complete time whilst reading the book so that you can get the same experience of excitement and exhilaration. I'm going to give this book FIVE UNIQUE STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

This book is the sequel to Almost Mortal, but can be read as a standalone novel. Samson Young, a criminal defense attorney with psychic abilities defends not only the mere mortals, but also immortals and the fallen angels.
In this book it is revealed that his old and new clients are interconnected, especially when old clients rise back from the dead. This time his clients are the biblical Fallen Angels wandering the Earth as humans for centuries in search of peace.
Although I haven't read the previous book but I found that this one was a gripping read until the very end. It's a blend of courtroom drama and fantasy. An intense book, that requires deep attention to read as there are a lot of characters in the book and due to the complex plot. Nevertheless it's a really great thriller, and I haven't read something like this before. I was up all night engrossed into it. I might pickup the first part sometime.

I read the book 'Almost Mortal' by Christopher Leibig during lockdown last year and I was psyched when I came to know that it's sequel was on its way. One read and I was already gaping at the ingenious character of Samson Young, his gravitational personality and his skills to solve a case. This book dealt with a serial killer.

The second book 'Almost Damned' in the row came out and I was a little worried especially after the blurb spoke about mystical elements. I wasn't quite sure of how both would relate to law. But as soon as I dived into the novel, I was stuck in the pages, unable to pull my eye out of it.

Wonderfully written in exceptional language, this book revolves around a criminal defense attorney, Samson Young who has the psychic ability to read the minds of his clients. Is it actually a blessing now? Such questions riddled my mind and I scrambled through the pages, trying to rid my conscience of the multiple questions. Here, a courtroom full of mortals and Samson is seen to defend fallen angels, who weren't even visible! This story, rightly described, was born way ahead of its time. A beautiful conjecture of mortal, immortal and heavenly beings, Young soon finds out an interconnection between his old and new clients. By what means will he be able to solve the case?

The author uses his experience as a full-time defense attorney to paint the picture of a man, who with his intellect solves troublesome cases and awes millions. His reference to the Bible was also inspired. Overall, a good fat 5 would suffice. If you're a thriller-lover, grab a copy today!

If you have read my review of Almost Mortal, you should know this is sequel to that book and just like previous ome, this story doesn't disappoint at all.

Let me refresh about the protagonist, Sam young. He is well known criminal defence attorney with his office in Washington, DC. He is having psychic abilities to read people's mind and get them to do certain things at his will. He is in chaos as his all cases whether new or old, seems mysteriously interconnected. The suspense is created from the very first chapter and the author has kept me guessing till the end. I love this thing about thrillers, they never let you get bored. As the secrets are revealed page by page, I couldn't stop reading.

This story has many characters hence the author has made it easy for the reader to follow the story by introducing all the characters at the start. The narration of the story is just like a movie playing. I enjoyed the same. The author himself is a criminal defence attorney hence he is having vast knowledge and experience of his field to write with such details and such characters. However, there were grammatical and typing errors at some places which could have been avoided by little more editing. Anyway, this is a good blend of legal thriller with some spooky element. If that's your thing, go for it!

Book : Almost Damned
Format- Kindle
Genre : Thriller
Rating-5/5

Almost damned is a sequel of almost mortal. The Book is really interesting. And I was just indulged in suspense , what happened next ? I just went go on reading it . It was well paced.
Coming to the story we have Sam who is the main protogonist of the story.
He is an young dynamic lawyer who is now facing the most difficult case.
Actually he has a super power, that he would be able to read out the minds of others people. Just after reading this I thought what if I would have that power. Sometimes it may be a curse, sometimes boon.
Sam Young is struggling to handle both his old and new cases .
Will he be able to solve these all mysterious things ?
So we come across many twists and turns in the story , which I didn't expect.
Because Sam himself will be in danger, will he be able to save himself form that paranormal activity?
I would recommend everyone to read this book , and also it's sequel Almost Mortal .
Title is really catchy. Both the sequel covers are really good .
Characters are well developed.
I really liked the usage of the uses of different ancient scriptures and the research for each of them and adding it to the story.
So that I have known lot of things. I have come across good vocabulary and learnt some .
Highly recommended
Happy reading

The story has the elements of suspense and thriller along with the super natural elements. The bonus point is that it has influences from legal field too. The plot has been layered beautifully with mystery. This is the second work by the author.
The book focuses on the protagonist, Samson Young who is a defence attorney ( advocate in Indian terms).
As a defence attorney, the protagonist has to deal with several clients as any regular attorney but his list of clients is different from the other attorneys. His clients are interconnected, the clients from past and present.
The author, himself, is a full-time criminal defense attorney and former public defender. Thus he has used his own experiences as influences for the book. It's good to read a book which are inspired from the author's own experiences and knowledge.
The book doesn't only limit itself to mortal limits but has supernatural elements too which makes it pretty unpredictable and impressive. The plot is a well paced one.
The language used is lucid. The narration is simple and good.
There are several characters involved in this book yet each is given sufficient scope to contribute to the plot. The protagonist has been expressed well in the book.
It's was definitely one of the most interesting books I have read.

Book : Almost Damned
Author : Christopher Leibig

Almost Damned is the second book by Christopher Leibig featuring defense attorney Samson Young, following on from Almost Mortal. I have read few legal thriller books but this one is unique and intriguing and when i say unique it is because Christopher Leibig has combined the legal thriller genre with a paranormal twist.

Author’s portrayal of the legal world was very accurate, showing the hurly burly and every day jumble that legal defence practice is. Some book shows that a lawyer is focusing on one case at a time, but in reality lawyers juggle dozens of cases all at once. This really comes across in the writing here, and I enjoyed this concept.

This book is not for everyone, the writing style is complex and detailed, their are numerous characters, language is lavish and requires a lot of attention while reading. Almost Damned is the second book by the author featuring defense attorney Samson Young, following on from Almost Mortal. I would recommend people to read Almost Mortal first, as it will give you a great understanding of Samson and his past.

It’s a sequel to the book I recently read it “Almost Mortal” and the suspense and thrill was so intense that I had to pick this up. Review of that book is in my profile. It’s about Sam Young who is criminal defence attorney. He has a gift, a psychic ability. In this book, more of his cases are described. The book started with DAY 1, Alleged rape victim Tawana Hightower had been on the witness stand for only a few minutes. After a courtroom, he did some brain storming and he think that his clients are not as it seems. There is more to it and somehow the cases are interconnected. Like somehow his old and new cases are interconnected. Read the book to know how. This book is sequel but you can pick it up directly. You won’t miss much. I read first one first and that will give more idea about it. It’s a legal thriller. I liked the concept. It’s filled with mystery and drama that makes it a perfect plot. I liked the slight fictional or supernatural touch. The narration style of the author is captivating. All the twists and turns makes it interesting. The language of the book is lucid so that everyone can understand it easily. Overall good one. Recommended from my side.

" Are you just a regular guy, Raj?"
" Human, you bet. Regular guy? Never."

~ Christopher Leibig, #Almost Damned.
.
.
I was kindly gifted this ARC copy in exchange for an honest review.

You can say I am a devoted fan of this series now. I was excited and thrilled to be in Sam's world again. By now I'm very much connected to the characters. Thus I have a new favourite character called Nguyen. Who has a dark sense of humor, sass and of course the weird name.
I do suggest that you read the first book of the series to help you with the storyline.

The courtroom drama and the battle with good vs evil takes the story in a different directions. Sam Young and his team face many obstacles along the way. Sam's past and the present is catching up to him, this is his journey how he is seeking the truth and getting answers to all the unanswered questions.
The thing with Mr.Christopher books is that you can never guess the ending. But you can expect the unexpected...
I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a good, fast-paced unique paranormal thriller.

Almost damned is such an enthralling book that I couldn't put it down .The book was so thrilling that it kept me seated on the first row of excitement..As mentioned ,it's a sequel book .But I started up reading this one and found it engrossing too . The language is easy going and quick to catch the plot ..

The story has supernatural elements , fallen angles , crime , court scenes that keep on entertaining till the end ..It opens up with Samson young who is a criminal defence attorney and has a psychic ability .He has clients both mortal and immortal .There are many interesting characters also in this novel that have a good role to play ..

The story picks up with the court room scene with the hearing of a rape victim Tawana Hightower .The entire
Sequence is well narrated by the author..It reaches its hike when the lead discovers that his clients both dead and alive are all connected with each other . He also gets death threats and mysterious clues .

The degree of excitement is
maintained till the end .
To know what happens do invest time and give it a read..

A Short Blurb:
Following the book Almost Mortal, this is the story of Defense attorney Samson Young. He faces several challenges as an attorney and a human. There’s something that connects his current clients to his old clients. His cabin is filled with the whispers of the dead. Will he be able to solve this case? Who are these dead people? Is it all a plot against him? To know you have to read this amazing thriller.
So, after reading the blurb, it must be clear that the book has a thriller and a mystery element in it. I, a true thriller seeker, have nothing to say about this book except that it defies all basic rules and presents a whole new thriller concept in front of us, the story is filled with various thriller and supernatural elements. The writing style is firm and easy to absorb. It’s a little slow at the start, but as the story proceeds, it couldn’t get more exciting. So, if you’re looking for something thrilling to hook you up till the end, then this astonishing book is waiting for you.
Happy reading!

This book is the sequel of the book ALMOST MORTAL. Courtroom scenes make you exhilarate. Unexpected twists and interconnections give you a jolt.

Sam Young, a criminal defence lawyer has unique psychic powers. His unique power reflecting in his eyes. The supernatural elements and the DNA testing scenes make you even keener on the storyline. The untying knots and new and old cases interconnection are highly intellectual. This never let you close the book without finishing it right away.

Plot construction in the courtroom gives realistic touch but never let you shock and amaze. Every nook of the concept Bible concept of the nun, DNA test, supernatural elements, intriguing cases, connectivity of the cases, the fight between evil and good and checkmating unpredictable twists and turns are massive thrilling. I can't say about this book in words. To know and sense the excitement I have felt, please read it.

I highly recommend this book to thriller readers

Almost Damned by Christopher Leibig is the book two of the sequel. The book one Almost mortal is a legal thriller which tells the tale of a Defense attorney Samson Young and this book is the continuation. I really enjoyed the book and it didn't not fail my expectations. This indeed is a page turner, I have seen some awesome reviews about the book 1 so as soon as I saw this book I decided to read this one.

The book is about Sam's cases and how they are interlinked. Young's case against God's Archangels is portrayed interestingly. Young files on behalf of the fallen angels, their half-human offspring, and descendants. The author have well researched and presented the book. The plots and events are well organised and depicted in the book. The surprise elements are another plus point of the book. The characters involved in the story and the character development is also done right.

I enjoyed the book as I love thriller based stories. I recommend this book to all the thriller lovers.

Almost Damned, the sequel to Almost Mortal sheds more light into Samson's supernatural abilities and someone it is interconnected with the case he's working on.

In Almost Mortal, we see the protagonist dealing with a serial killer but here we find him dealing with fallen angels. All the queries and doubts that left unanswered in the previous book, gets a proper and satisfying answer in this book.

I liked this book more than it's prequel because it gave a clear meaning to events that happened in the prequel. The touch of fantasy with thrills and supernatural entities made it a wholesome book. All my confusion about Samson's supernatural powers got cleared in this book. The narration and the language is amazing. The plot is amazing. The characters are well developed. It's a must read if you are inti thrillers.

Wish to read something thrilling with all supernatural twists?
Then 'Almost Damned' by Christopher Leibig is definitely for you.

The protagonist Samson Young sees his dead aunt, grandmother, and aunt walking towards him. Samson being a defense attorney has psychic abilities. He could contact between the mortal and immortal world.

This book is a sequel to 'Almost Mortal', so I would definitely ask the readers to go for the first book and then the second one. The narration and story is gripping and penned in a way understanding manner. At few places you may find that the story may sound something supernatural with all those superpowers stuff but trust me as pages turn by the hunger for completing the book increases. It's definitely a must-read novel if you're looking forward to reading thriller.

" Almost damned " is a book composed by Christopher Leibig which is a continuation of the book "Almost Mortals" . It's anything but a wonderful development to the primary book . The story is an extremely engrossing lawful thrill ride And it spins around the hero Samson Young who is a criminal guard lawyer . The lawyer was very popular and involvement with getting lawbreakers free. In any case, this book has more to this is on the grounds that he battle instances of humans as well as some undying customers . The epic is truly provocative and something truly out of the container . In the event that you read the book prior to hitting the hay you consider the big picture . From the second I began these assortments I got dependent on the storyline of the books. The book likewise has its otherworldly touch in light of the fact that there are numerous refferences from Bible itself. It is has ideal combination of thrill ride , disloyalty , experience and otherworldly components. The front of the book is very dynamic and title is fitting . The plot is grasping and inciting . The book is quick moving yet the portrayal is clear . It's anything but a unique book which has no ideal or precise clarification . This book is prescribed to each and everybody in light of the unprecedented substance.

As this is the sequel of almost mortal, so if u haven't read the 1st part it's bit difficult to understand this one.

The plot is based on fallen angels and origin of demons. The story revolves around samson young who is fighting for the justice of exiled angels. He has psychic abilities that give him an edge over others, in the courtroom. These abilities help him solve many cases. However the Bennett case take an eerie tutn. And it is interesting to knw what will happen? Will he able to solve the case?

I liked the concept of the book totally mind blowing. The book is filled with mystery and drama that makes it a perfect story. The book is totally different with slight fictional and supernatural touch. The cover is amazing. The language is lucid.
Overall a good read.

An Immersive edge of the seat legal thriller

Almost damned follows the life of Sam as he fights for fallen angels while dealing with threats and mysterious invitations. This story is a blend of two worlds and the link between Sam's old and new clients is sure to take anyone by surprise. Like any good story, the author draws you in within the first few chapters. With a set of twists and turns, the story keeps you on your toes and never lets go.

The pacing is good and demands the full attention of its readers. The characterization at the beginning of the book is helpful. I recommend this book when you are looking to read something different.
