Life takes work
Siya is young and under the control of her parents. She has a passion to be a writer, but her parents forbid it.Siya starts reading Lynsey 's books and gets the chance to meet the author. Lynsey is having trouble in her marriage and feels a connection to the young girl and decides to mentor her. The lines being to blur and feelings are on the line. I am intrigued to see how this story will continue. Great first book by this new author.

Part 1 in the Passions series. Siya and Lynsey connect over Siya's aspirations to be an established writer. Encouraged by her friend Jane, Siya approaches Lynsey (Professor of Lit at the university) and asks to be mentored by her. There are interactions with other characters including Luke but the road ahead is bumpy with family life on both sides coming into play. Interesting poetry included.
While the writing is a bit stilted and there are errors, I found the storyline intriguing enough to read to the end. Looking forward to the next book.
