Oh boy Ryder, what a Predicament you have gotten yourself into. Ryder's Claim is a full-length dark mafia romance, technically a standalone; however, it is interconnected with Adrian’s Claim.
I love this series, and this book is no different. One key factor that I had to take a star away or this book would have been a five-star read. Let’s start with what I loved.
Nicoletta is off-limits to everyone. She’s betrothed to Ryder’s brother Adrian. But the heart wants what the heart wants. They both desired each other and tried to suppress their feelings. We all know how that goes. The line always gets blurred, and it's hot. Nicoletta is holding onto a big secret. It's a doozy of one.
I was skeptical of Ryder in book one. Those worries went away, and he proved to be the dark, twisted, alphahole, with a soft side. Ryder and Nicoletta are both such strong characters. Nicoletta with a cold, calculated father who has kept her in a gilded cage. The girl is a survivor.
This book is not for the faint of heart. It’s dark, twisted, and suspenseful. I read this book in one sitting. I knew going in with two powerhouse authors; I was going to be entertained from the beginning. The chemistry between the two is Electric, and their love is undeniable.
My only constructive criticism and reason I took away a star are some inconsistencies between the two books. One primary key factor between Adrian and Nicoletta changed from book one to book. I went back and reread the last half of book one to confirm it. Then took that change and used it for Ryder. The story was still good, don't get me wrong, I just like consistency.
No worries if you didn’t read book one, you can still read Ryder’s claim and enjoy this book, and I still recommend it.

WOW! Ryder's Claim was fantastic!!
This couple is drawn to each other, call it fate or karma, but the pull is very real and intense. Nicoletta and Ryder try to fight this, because she is supposed to marry Adrian, but the pull is too strong and they cannot deny it any longer.
There is chaos, and fighting, and passion, but most of all there is excitement and longing.
I loved Ryder's and Nicoletta's story.

Ryder meets Nicoletta and is immediately captivated, but she is promised to his brother. This story recounts their forbidden relationship, attraction, and blossoming love with a twist as all is not as it appears.
This story had elements of old time romance with the usual suspects of other woman instigator, a cruel father, in a mafia backdrop. The only misgivings I had were fluidity and consistency in the writing style, a dichotomy, e.g. the hero was alpha one minute, but not alpha the next; the heroine was chaste and innocent but spoke dirty talk at a level incongruent with her background, lack of experience, and history.
An accessible book to most, though, not particularly dark, immemorable violence, no coercion; at most some psychological abuse. Moderate to fast pace created an easy to follow and engaging reading experience. Steam was good, with added sexual tension -- nothing less than I would expect by these authors of this series; there were areas they could definitely have enriched the steam level though consistent with an alpha staking his claim.
Overall, an enjoyable read with intrigue even though a bit wishy washy on the character development. I would love to read a story just about the Giordiani villain and rival.

I am so in love with this series. I know we are only two books into it, but when you can't put either of them down you know you have a winner. So in the second book, we have Ryder's story. He has been burned in love and now his heart is stone. This is a must-read book that will keep you guessing to the very end.
When Ryder meets his brother's fiance he knows he has found his match in everything. But Nicoletta is off-limits to everyone but his brother. But these two keep bumping into each other and the chemistry is off the charts. Nicoletta is a woman that has been sheltered her whole life. So to have someone like Ryder interested in her is a turn-on. These two are in need of each other.

Resisting her for years has been one of the toughest tasks for him and he is not sure if he can go on doing that for more time. But when her secret comes out , he knows that she has been playing him right from the start and she will surrender to the brunt of his fury. There will be no stopping him and this time he might just destroy the one thing he had begun to love above all.
Overall Opinion :
I have been waiting for this book ever since the author teased us with it at the end of her last book of this series. I knew Ryder and Nicoletta were gonna be something crazy and I was looking forward to it! The story was amazing and I loved the plot twist. I sort of had an inkling that what had happened but seeing I was correct was an amazing thing.
Ryder and Nicoletta were pure fire and their steamy scenes had me fanning myself. The side characters were amazing and damn that tease of the next book at the end of this one just has me right back to where I started , wanting the next book so bad!!
I would definitely recommend this book to all the dark romance loving people. This one has a couple of triggers and I will list those below so that you guys can keep those in mind before picking up this series!

I love me some steamy mafia- and no one delivers on steamy and twisted stories like Isabella Starling. I’m loving this mafia collaboration with Isabella and Raven Scott- I’ve found both books to be highly consumable, deliciously dark and steamy, and full of mind bending twists.
The second book focuses on Nicoletta and Ryder- a story forecasting in the prior book, though this can be read as a standalone- though I’d recommend reading the first book (Adrian’s claim) since the story between these two really begins there. Nicolette is engaged to Ryder’s brother Adrian, though she’s been pining for him- and her best efforts to capture his affection haven’t always paid off. But, the pining is clearly not mutual- soon lines are blurred, boundaries are pushed, and things heat up. But, like our first book- dangerous secrets are lurking.
Ryder is just deliciously dark and twisted- a total alpha with some tenderness lurking beneath the bravado. Nicoletta is a beautiful survivor- the quintessential trapped mafia princess has more to her than meets the eye. Both have a brokenness to them that connects them - and the chemistry is scorching. And paired with some suspense and unexpected twists and turns, this is a quickie and yummy read.
Overall, I really enjoy this series- though I think there could be a bit more attention to detail. There were a few things that felt inconsistent with prior characters from the last book, and small but impactful things like characters' ages, for example, aren't always clear. I know this is a series that is meant to entertain and titillate, and it does those things in spades- so this does not hugely impact my enjoyment and is not something every reader would notice, but worth mentioning in case you are a stickler for this kind of thing.
And, pay attention to trigger warnings- there are some dark elements of violence and abuse that may be triggering to others.

This story was so good! I absolutely love both of these authors and together their amazing! Ryders Claim is deliciously dark intense twisted and steamy hot ! I was immediately hooked from the first page till last ! I highly recommend this series!

The first chapters i really dislikes the h , how horny and extra she was, but then she was ok .
Ryder? let's say he was way better than Adrian, at least he went for who he want, no question asked, no matter who she was lol. Over all apart for some a little dark scenes, was really sweet, i loved them together , their connection etc, wished it was more tho, before they were intimate, but anyway.

Just like his older brother Adrian from book one ( Adrian's Vengeance) Ryder is a big ass jerk and the h is a sex starved woman she wants him even when he is a jerk to her but it was enjoyable , epilogue is 4 years later with their daughter and the h is Pregnant with twins!

This is Ryder and Nicoletta's story who we are introduced to in Adrian's Vengeance. She was a mafia princess with a lot of hidden secrets. Nicoletta is beyond off limits to Ryder since she is promised to his brother but they both desired each other. Their chemistry is explosive and dark. There is family drama, ex-drama(she gets what she deserves thankfully), kidnapping, and trust issues. This is a fast paced romance that's full of lots of fast paced action and danger. The characters are well developed and strong though honestly Nicoletta drove me crazy with her pursuit of Ryder!!

I’m just going to flat out say it, this book was ridiculous and OTT insta-love. We start with a girl who’s a mafia princess and is set up with an arranged marriage to another mafia heir, but it’s his brother she wants. Insta-love doesn’t always bother me, especially In fated mate books, but this was a tad ridiculous. They are immediately taken with each other from the minute they see each other, that’s fine, I was immediately attracted to my husband when I first met him, BUT they were already wanting to spend their lives together before they had more than 2 conversations. Also, when Ryder and his family find out her secret from years past, it NEVER crosses their mind that she was a CHILD and an innocent party in the whole thing?? Really?! And then when Ryder has given her NO indications that he still loves her after her so called betrayal, she’s constantly saying how she knows he’s going to save her and they’re going to be together forever. Girl…. The last time you saw him he locked you in a dungeon and said you were nothing to him but a liar. But she’s SO sure that he’s going to come out of nowhere and save her. Also, ********spoiler******** she’s only like a month along in her pregnancy but just KNOWS it’s a boy. Come on girl. She’s so naive it was hard to like her. Like at all. This whole book was ridiculously OTT. And I usually don’t mind OTT insta love books but this one was just… ridiculous. Honestly, if the author would add a little more interactions of the main couple to get to know each other, and then maybe made her a little less naive and like a doormat, it wouldn’t be a horrible book. But even the mafia aspect was definitely not your traditional mafia book. I’m gonna say it was very LIGHT on the mafia aspect

Ryder's Claim by Isabella Starling and Raven Scott is book Two in the Mafia Heirs Series. This is the story of Ryder Bernardi and Nicoletta Carlucci. I have read the previous book which did add to my enjoyment of this one but I did feel you could make it a standalone book if you wish to do so.
This was a story of forbidden love because Nicoletta was to marry Ryder's brother. So they both tried to fight their attraction but of course its a fight they can't win. Loved this book and wait to read more from these authors.

I have been anticipating for Ryder and Nicoletta's book since it was hinted that these were together in Adrian's Vengeance and I was not disappointed. Isabella and Raven created another story that is wrapped up in deceit, vengeance, suspense, and steam that had me white-knuckling my kindle. Nicoletta is stronger than she appears with the weight of everything she has had to carry and when this young woman loves, she loves even stronger. She is persistent, smart, and wise - no matter how young she is. Ryder is cold and stern when he first crosses paths with Nicoletta, but when this man falls - he falls hard and stays there. When these two are together, it's bigger and more powerful than dynamite exploding - but will their love be enough to help them survive when their world is ripped apart?
I love how Isabella and Raven never slack on the suspense and steam in their writing. This story shows that they can write a dark and dirty anti-hero that turns into a love fueled monster that will do anything for his woman and with a plot that doesn't let you go until the sweet ending. This series just keeps getting better with the new plots and interlacing of old characters with new ones. You could read this as a standalone, but I would advise to read Adrian's Vengeance so you get the full experience - because that's what reading this series is, a dark and delicious experience. I can't wait to see where they take Julian!

This book is dark and twisted with a lot of suspense. I enjoyed parts of this book but there were things that bothered me in the story. There were some inconsistency from the first book to the second book. Also I felt like Ryder was a jerk for no reason most of the time. I did find the story to be entertaining but I wish it flowed together a little more smoothly.

I mean seriously??? I was so excited to read this book , after I read the first book of this series and bruhhhhh, this one was soo disappointing.
I wish i could give it 0 stars!!
The ending of the first book and the story of this second book has no freaking resemblance, moreover the plot and the characters were such a massive disappointment.

Nicoletta is a mafia princess with a secret and due to marry but the guys she wants is her husband-to-be's brother, Ryder. Ryder finds out about Nicoletta's secret and vows to make sure she's found out. The two are young and Nicoletta is naïve to the extreme. A story full of twists, turns, lies and betrayals.

This book was an okay read but not great. The plot was fairly twisted, however it lacked depth and it also did not stay consistent with the first book which is annoying. Not enough development between the two MCs to form any real feeling of relationship.

🔥❤ finally the wait is over Ryder & "Nicolette"
I have been waiting for this book since Adrian's book...and it did not disappoint. We are introduced to Nicolette in book 1 where she is suppose to marry Ryders brother Adrian ( arranged marriage) ..but Adrian if course has been in love w Maritza since they were kids...which was a good thing because Ryder and Nicolette knew they were made each other from the first time they laid eyes on each other. Love how Ryder tries everything he can to ensure Nicolette becomes his and not his brothers. In true mafia fashion there are several twist and turns. This book would have been perfect if not for 1 lil detail....warning minor spoiler following.
Ryder has "Nicolette" imprisoned in the dugeon because he thinks she has committed and unforgivable betrayal against him. When he finds someone kidnaps her and that she is missing he realizes that no matter what he believes she has done that she is the love of his life and will forgive her. He vows to find her if it's the last thing he does...AND THEN HIS NEXT CHAPTER...he is with his brother Julian getting a lap dance by some skanky stripper. Although he pushes her off him after a while and says that his brother is trying to get his mind off her this the reason for the strippers. It's like didnt you just vow to not rest until you found the love of your life...umm wtf do strippers fall into helping you do that. You had the balls and self discipline to push away a former lover who you thought you loved because you were standing up for your lady love but you cant say no to your bratty brother and some hoes. After he throws the strippers out he once again remembers how much he loves his princespa and returns to look for her. So no he really didn't cheat on "Nicolette" but he still entertained a slut even for a short while when he should have been looking for his 1 true love. I know to many this may not be a big deal...but it would have made the book perfect for me if that 1 detail had been left out. That being said I LOVED the book. I cannot wait for the rest of the book in thos series to be released.
I have been waiting for this book since Adrian's book...and it did not disappoint. We are introduced to Nicolette in book 1 where she is suppose to marry Ryders brother Adrian ( arranged marriage) ..but Adrian if course has been in love w Maritza since they were kids...which was a good thing because Ryder and Nicolette knew they were made each other from the first time they laid eyes on each other. Love how Ryder tries everything he can to ensure Nicolette becomes his and not his brothers. In true mafia fashion there are several twist and turns. This book would have been perfect if not for 1 lil detail....warning minor spoiler following.
Ryder has "Nicolette" imprisoned in the dugeon because he thinks she has committed and unforgivable betrayal against him. When he finds someone kidnaps her and that she is missing he realizes that no matter what he believes she has done that she is the love of his life and will forgive her. He vows to find her if it's the last thing he does...AND THEN HIS NEXT CHAPTER...he is with his brother Julian getting a lap dance by some skanky stripper. Although he pushes her off him after a while and says that his brother is trying to get his mind off her this the reason for the strippers. This is the second book in the Mafia Heirs Series and is Ryder and Nicoletta's story. However I do recommend reading the first book and they kind of overlap. You could read it as a standalone but I feel like you would enjoy much more reading the first book. And besides it is amazing too and got me hooked on this series. Nicoletta lets everyone think that she is just a spoiled mafia princess but she has a huge secret. All she really wants in life is to be free and live her life and do the things that she really wants to do. But, in all this she is really loving and super loyal and I loved that about her. Then we have Ryder who is a big old bully at times to Nicoletta but he really and truly wants her but she is going to marry his brother. These two are drawn to each other like moths to a flame and your kindle just might melt there is so much heat. This is their love story and it is not easy at all. But it is one that you will be reading over and over and will not be able to get enough of. I devoured this book so fast that I felt like I had only just picked it up. It is that good. You don't want to miss this book or this series.

"Ryder's Claim" is book two in the epic dark Mafia Heirs series. It's a forbidden brother wife to be romance filled with suspense, mystery and panty melting scenes. Raven and Isabella has woven this story with complex characters, labyrinthine narratives, and with a healthy dose of sexual chemistry. Raven and Isabella are deviant with words. The way how they weave the dark and twisted another I'm on overload. There was secrets, drama, abuse, perseverance, lust, deception, violence, lies, angst, betrayal, manipulation, revenge, danger with twist and turns that will you tethering on the edge. It feels me emotionally wrecked wondering what juicy tidbits that these queen will come up with next. Ryder's Claim was beautifully crafted with addictive characters and a storyline that will drags you in from the beginning and not letting go until the end.

Let me start off by saying if you're thinking this book is a continuation to the first, it's not. It takes place during the same time the first book take place and is completely different. Also I would advise not to read the epilogue in the first book because it's completely different than how the second book actually turned out. I'm so mad at this book. Ugh. The details do not go along at all with the first. I know it's a standalone but it's not a traditional standalone where it continues after the first. I think if I would've read this book before the first one it would've been easily a 5 star book. But the first book got my hopes up for this book and they were crushed. For example why make a big deal of meeting of "Nicolette" when she was a child in the garden if it's not going to be used in the book until the very ending and it wasn't anything like the epilogue in the first book.. Why make Nicolette seem like she's into Adrian in the first book but this book she doesn't want anything to do with him. Also in the first book epilogue Ryder seems so alpha but in this book he's just a big teddy bear who's wrapped around Nicolette's finger. Idk what to think. But like I said if I never read the first book it would've been damn good. But the whole time I'm wondering why did that happen when in the first book it's totally different. Another example is Adrian and Nicolette's wedding, in the first book they had a wedding, where Ryder objects, in this book they call the wedding off before it happens. Maybe it's just me and that's why I rounded up to 4 stars but these books just don't make sense together. Overall still a good book but I'm disappointed in it.

This is the second book in the Mafia Heirs series and it was not a disappointment! This is the story of Ryder and Nicoletta. Ryder and Nicoletta met many years before when they were children in the maze on the Bernardi’s property. Ryder is dark, dangerous, twisted, but yet has a softer side to him at times. He thought he was in love once, but that turned out to backfire on him when she betrayed him on their wedding day. From then, he and his father had a strained relationship. Nicoletta is a mafia princess who was kept hidden from everyone. She acts as if she is spoiled, but deep down she is in turmoil and hiding secrets from everyone. A deal was made between Nicoletta’s father and Ryder’s father for her to marry Adrian. However when Nicoletta meets the Bernardi’s for the first time, she believes that Ryder is the brother she is supposed to marry. Both Ryder and Nicoletta are attracted to each other. What is one to do when your heart wants one thing, but your promised to someone else?
This book is full of drama, action, betrayal, tragedy, twists and turns, secrets, imprisonment, passion, chemistry, devastation, forgiveness and standing up for what you want. Great story with great characters. I would definitely read Adrian’s Vengeance prior to this book, just so you have the backstory. I am looking forward to Julian story next! So many secrets

Ryder's Claim is the second book in the Mafia Heirs series by Isabella Starling and Raven Scott. The story is about Ryder Bernardi and Nicoletta Carlucci. This story is tied to the first book, Adrian's Vengeance, several ways. Ryder is Adrian's brother and Nicoletta has originally been arranged to marry Adrian but when they met he was not interested in her as his affections lie with Marzia. Ryder and Nicoletta are an interesting couple as they both have secrets, oh so many secrets the poor young woman carries. They have an undeniable attraction and love for each other even as they cannot be together. Be warned that this story is dark, twisted, full of drama, violence and emotion.
I did enjoy this book but just not as much as I could have based on two things. The first is that there is not a lot of speaking/communication between Ryder and Nicoletta. The author's have written a lot about what is going on in each of their heads but just not a lot of what is going on between them. The second is that there are more than a few inconsistencies with the first book. If you have read Adrian's Vengeance and remember it then you will be able to spot the issues. This annoyed me more than anything as for me it detracts from the flow of the story. But otherwise this was a good story. I am looking forward to the next book in the series to see what happens with Julian.
